Accommodations were lovely, hosts were responsive and respectful of our privacy. Comfortable bedrooms and thank you for having adult beds in all of the rooms. The house does not have A/C which we did not realize for some reason, but all was well and it did not impair our comfortability. Gail said that they had never had a problem with it - and she was right! House is completely stocked with all that you need except for the food! We would have liked a bigger grill- some nights it was difficult to cook what we wanted as we are BIG grill people. Parking lot in front of house was only temporarily annoying when a camper would park in a space directly in front of us, but all in all, not bad - we were there in off season. Great outdoor shower!! We are planning on a repeat visit as soon as we have next year's plans in place. Thank you Gail and Brian and safe travels to you until we meet again!

Brian and Gail, What a beautiful place Upwind is! From the moment we walked through the door, we were in awe. The beautiful table setting, a lovely bottle of wine and the bag of delightful goodies you left for us. You left no stone unturned. The location of the house is so convenient to get to all the places we enjoyed on the cape. Watching the ships come and go, overlooking Lewis Bay, walking on the beach and enjoying the lower and upper decks were a great highlight. You two are the ultimate host and hostess! So sorry we didn’t get to meet Gail but hopefully next time. Thank you so much for everything.

This place is a real gem. Thank you so much for your hospitality and organized communication throughout our stay. It was an incredible experience to have a full week of being on the beach. Your home felt cozy and full of everything we could possibly need. Our kids loved all the sand toys (and gift bag) and we played more of the board game “Sorry” than ever in life. We enjoyed meals and popsicles outside and the kids loved doing cartwheels on the lawn. Thanks for your warmth and responsivity when we needed anything. We would absolutely love to come back and make this a tradition.

Great house with everything you would need for our family vacation. We like making on our own breakfasts and lunches and the trying new restaurants for dinner. Just bring clothes and food for your stay. The only thing we found that being next to the beach parking lot, cars were coming all night long. Besides that, it was perfect.

Upwind is an amazing house and Gail and Brian the best of hosts. Anything we could possible need was provided and any minor issues or questions we had were immediately responded to. I have never rented a place that had a better equipped kitchen or more items provided to make the stay perfect. The beach is only a 3 minute walk across a parking lot and is perfect for children as it is quite calm and warm. Great property!!!!! Great hosts!

Thank you for the amazing week and letting 3 couples have the best vacation ever. Opened the door and I cried at how amazing your place is. The pics don’t do it justice. We hope to all get this way again some day.

Upwind is a generously appointed (complete with innumerable extras, like beach towels, beach umbrellas, coffees, teas, soaps, and on and on...), spacious, supremely clean, welcoming, nicely located, and comfortable. A perfect home base for our cape wanderings. And the grounds are lovely, complete with wildlife-friendly habitat and consequently a spectacular birdsong symphony!

We absolutely loved our stay here! There was plenty of room for our family of five. Brian and Gail were incredibly easy to work with. The location can’t be beat. We especially enjoyed the lower deck for lunch and dinner outside and the upper deck for sunsets and that gorgeous view! Beds were comfy, house was well stocked, soap, linens, you name it! Everything we needed was provided. We hope to see you again!

Of all our weeks on cape cod, this one has been the best. Having welcome gifts for our son at check-in was such a nice surprise. Reading each morning on the deck, heading to the beach and coming back for happy hour each evening. Such a beautiful home. Thank you both for sharing it with us.

This summer home was a balm for the soul. We have left tanned, relaxed and looking forward to another week at Upwind. To be so close to the beach was a blessing, and watching and hearing the birds in their wildlife habitat was a bonus. Gail and Brian thought of everything - every time we thought we would need something, we opened a door or drawer and there it was! It was perfect!
