Everyone who sees this house falls in love with it. It is charming, comfortable, sparkling clean and beautifully decorated. The view of Lewis Bay is magnificent and will stop you in your tracks. The semi-private beach - with warm, shallow water, perfect for kids - is a few yards (a one-minute walk) from the front door. This cottage has been in our family for over 70 years and was completely renovated in 2010/2011. It has modern amenities but retains the charm of old Cape Cod. Wood floors throughout. Central A/C plus ceiling fans in every room. WIFI, two cable TVs, granite kitchen countertops, Keurig coffee brewer, marble/tile bathrooms, Bosch W/D, Pottery Barn beds, comfortable mattresses and good quality linens, original artwork, library, outdoor gas grill, picnic table, outdoor shower w/ dressing area. Two king beds, one queen, two twins and another twin. Cribs are available for infants or young toddlers. A perfect home away from home. The house is great for families/friends to share. The lower level, w/ bedroom, bath and LR, has its own entrance. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. Walking distance to Nantucket ferries & Hyannis.

The main floor of the cottage has two sitting rooms (both with gorgeous views of Lewis Bay, which gives into Nantucket Sound so there are lots of boats passing by on their way to and from Hyannis Harbor and the Hyannis Marina to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard), a dining area, kitchen, washer/dryer, TV room (40' TV), one large bedroom (king), and one bathroom w/ tub & hand shower (not en suite).

The upper floor has one queen bedroom, one bedroom with two twins, an extra room w/ twin bed, and one small bathroom (shower, no tub).

The lower floor has a huge library with hundreds of books, a 60' plasma TV, sound system, floor to ceiling mirror, kitchenette (sink and under-the-counter refrigerator, no cooking), one bedroom (king) and one bathroom (shower, no tub). The lower floor is not accessible from inside the house but has its own entrance, shown in the thumbnail photo of the house.

The entire house is renovated, the bathrooms are marble, tile and bead board. On the main floor there's a deck at the front of the house, on the lower floor a patio with a gorgeous view of Lewis Bay and a large outdoor shower. There is a picnic table with Weber grill, facing the water. Floor plans can be emailed.

The house sleeps a maximum of nine guests, including all adults and children. The only exception to the maximum nine person occupancy is for an infant or baby in a crib (which we can provide). We cannot accept pets (sorry!).

For larger families or groups of friends of more than nine people, we have a second house next door which sleeps a maximum of fifteen people. (Listing #3828713). Same street, same beach, same view, same level of comfort. The cottage and the house can be rented at the same time, depending on availability, to sleep 24.

The cottage comes fully equipped: We provide all bed linens and quilts, comforters or blankets depending on the season. We can provide cribs, each with a crib sheet and bumper pads, but no blanket or pillow. We also provide an ample number of bath towels, beach towels, and kitchen towels.

The house is equipped with a video/DVD library, CD's, board games, puzzles, cards, bocce ball set, beach chairs, and beach umbrellas. Bring your bicycles and golf clubs to ride the Cape's bike trails or play one of the many wonderful public golf courses. There is an extensive library of books, mostly history, biography, art, novels, and children's books. There is central A/C plus a ceiling fan in every room. The kitchen is stocked with staples such as spices, sugar, flour, vinegar, olive oil, tea, etc., and a lobster pot, a Keurig machine, a regular coffee brewer, a toaster, and basic cleaning supplies.

There is parking for up to three cars in front of the house. Please contact owner before booking if more than three cars are expected. There is no room for a trailer or boat at the property. These would have to be parked elsewhere. The Hyannis Marina is within walking distance of the cottage.

The Owners live nearby and are available anytime the need arises.

Very central location. The small semi-private beach is a few yards (1-minute walk) from the front door, and Bayview Beach is around the corner. Large public beaches such as Kalmus, Seagull, Craigville, and many more, are short drives from the house. There are also fresh water ponds within a short drive. Also within walking distance - the Hyannis Marina, downtown Hyannis (with shopping, restaurants, cafes, ice cream parlors, banks, post office, and the JFK Museum) and the Steamship Authority Ferries (to Nantucket). Within a short drive are the airport, bus station, hospital, the HyLine Ferries (to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard), the Cape Cod Mall and the movie theater. The Cape Cod Melody tent in Hyannis has world-class performers every summer. The Cape Cod Symphony, also in Hyannis, gives concerts throughout the fall, winter and spring. Art shows, antiques fairs, and flea markets abound all over the Cape throughout the year. Bring your golf clubs as there are several great public golf courses nearby. And bring your bikes, or rent them in town - the Cape abounds with bike trails. Our location is the perfect one from which to explore all corners of the Cape, participate in lots of activities, or just relax. The Cape is heaven and the cottage is a little piece of paradise.

IMPORTANT NOTE: WE DO NOT ADVERTISE ON CRAIGS LIST. Any posting of this cottage on craigslist is a scam! We've noticed in past years that our house listing has been hijacked and put on craigslist with a bogus contact address and incorrect pricing. Each time we see it, we flag it so that the posting is taken down...but it often reappears. Scammers just keep stealing legitimate homeowners' listings and posting them again and again.
