It was an amazing house with an amazing view and location; however, we faced some issues with the cleanliness of the house as the rugs were dirty and must be cleaned. Also the Internet service was terrible. The lights in the kitchen wasn’t working and the some bedrooms did not have any blinds.
We had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous home! It had everything that we needed for a great weekend! Sarah responded to all my questions/concerns within minutes. We can't wait to stay here again soon!
Let's start with the positives. This is a giant house, beautiful, and looks no more than a year old. It's very spacious and well designed and with 16 people (8 adults and 8 kids), we never felt on top of each other. The view is amazing and the place looks exactly like the pictures. The location is great and very close to McCayesville, Blue Ridge, rafting, and hiking. Only a few things keep it from being a 5 star and I imagine once those issues are resolved it will be the perfect spot for large groups.Couple of important things that need to be resolved:- The last road up to the house has about 100 yards of unpaved road before it becomes paved. There is a significant incline at one part and if the road is wet, it is difficult for cars without four wheel drive to make it up. On our first night, only half of our cars could make it up the hill, we had to leave them at a construction site and come up and down to retreive all of our stuff. Until they finish paving the entire road, I highly recommend four wheel drive vehicles and hopefully this will be added to the listing notes.- The listing did mention slow wifi, unfortunately it isn't usable at all with more than a few people connected to it and cell reception is very poor. It is nice to disconnect for sure, but if you have any need for remote work, you won't be able to do it here unless something changes. - The large wooden outdoor trash bins are supposed to be bear proof, but the bears tore the lids off and then tore our trash up all over the woods. We had to go through the woods and pick back up all our trash. They need to be re-secured with new hinges and locks. There were a few other minor issues but like I said once they get resolved, this becomes a 5 star spot.
We had a great time! Wi-Fi is bad but that didn’t keep us from having fun. The cabin is beautiful and the view amazing. The kids loved the pool. We even saw deer right out the front door. Very nice, fun cabin.
