Stayed Aug 2, 2025The house is beautiful with stunning views over the Dordogne river. The rooms were all traditionally furnished. We loved them. Most of the house had been done up to a high standard and felt very comfortable with lots of space for our family.The gardens and the pool were wonderful. It was very hot during our stay, so we spent a lot of time on the terrace and swimming. The children loved it and the play area. Very helpful and friendly caretakers lived nearby, but we only saw them at the beginning and end of our stay, as needed. The location is very quiet, but we all liked Carlux, a 20 minute walk away, which had a supermarket, farm shop, bar and castle. Our only problem was initially finding the house. We would have appreciated clearer instructions. Maybe what3words would solve this.
