On the first floor, one can find a large room with a dinning table for four and a double bed, a separate room with a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a shower and a small balcony with a view to the sea. Ikia Vacation Houses operate all year round as a self serviced lodgings and each house can accommodate up to 5 persons. Each house can be rented separately. Listed prices are per house. Built fromstone and wood, by my great great grandfather and owned by my family for the past 100 years, the house will offer you the warmth, cosiness and tranquility that we all are longing for. The Old Village, where Ikia House was built, can be accessed either by a 10 minute car drive, or by a 30 minute walk up the old donkey track from the port of Patitiri. During the summer a bus goes on regular trips up and down the hill. The establishment is about 200m far from the car park at the old threshing floors (Palia Alonia) at the entrance of the Old Village. It can not be accessed directly by car, as is the case with many traditional houses in the Old Village. The last 50m must be covered on foot. It consists of two fully renovated two-floor houses The Green house has a double bed bedroom with a fireplace on the ground floor. On the first floor, one can find a multi-purpose room with a dinning table for four and a double bed, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a shower and a small balcony. The Brown house has a ground floor multi-purpose room with a fully equipped kitchen, a dinning table for four, a couch (converted into a double bed), a fireplace and a bathroom with a shower. Finally, the first floor has a bedroom that consists of a double and a single bed with a small balcony and a veranda. Apart from the fully equipped kitchen, a hair dryer, an iron, a filter coffee machine and a kettle are available. The houses are equipped with Hunter ceiling fans. There is also a washing machine available upon request. However, you will not find a TV. Our purpose is for you to relax as much as possible and enjoy the tranquility of the place. Nevertheless, tranquility is not our sole asset. Looking downhill one can see the green hill that plunges into the beach of Megalos Mourtias. The uphill view is equally rewarding. Traditional houses, planted in a green landscape, is what you can enjoy not only in paintings but also from our balcony.

The host picked us up at the port and dropped us off at the house. He welcomed us with wine and local sweets. The location was perfect fo us. No a/c however with the fans and breeze slept like vabys. I highly recomend.

We were warmly welcomed by George at the port and he drove us up the hillside to his delightful house, in the old village. The position was perfect with beautiful sea views. During our stay, we would often get back from the beach to find he'd left us fruit and veg from his garden, or a jar of Alonissos honey. He was so kind, nothing was too much trouble - looking forward to returning next year!

It was fantastic to stay in the old town of Alonnisos at George and Anna's home. The place is perfectly located, because it's steps away from the center of the old town, but away from the noise and touristy ramble. It is tastefully decorated and has all the amenities you might need, and the view of the Aegean Sea is what you dream of. But best of all, were George and Anna themselves. They are welcoming, kind, helpful and go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and to help you enjoy your vacation. I can't imagine more considerate hosts. I highly recommend staying at this house on the beautiful island of Alonissos!

George and his family was waiting for us at the port and escorted us to the property. What an amazing family, Those guys are incredible! The house was probably the cleanest placed I ever stayed, with an amazing view of the village and the sea. Although, it was refurbished recently, George managed to keep the traditional touch of the house. A must, if someone decide to stay in the heart of the island. In general great experience, great people, excellent place. Highly recommended!

We just loved this house. A very well refurbished home . Class , untouched tradition and very very clean. We were so surprised & happy to find such a lovely home. 3 ladies couldn't have asked for more. The neighborhood is quiet, yet only a few steps from the center of the village Chora. So convenient. Owners were lovely, they even brought us home made cheese pie. Excellent. Thank you . Hope to be back some day.

we stayed in Ikia Brown house for a week. The house was perfect, with a lot of unexpected details, welcome set included, that made our staying perfect and made us feel as we were in our home. There was everything we need, and the owner George delighted us with daily gifts (fresh eggs, homemade Alonisson cheese pie, biscuits) for our breakfast. The position was strategic, in a quiet area, two minutes walk to arrive in the core of old town. From the house we had a beautiful view of the sea and of the higher part of the old town. George was very happy to give us all the information about the islands and was at our disposal for everything we need. A perfect location in a beautiful island.
