Escape to a secluded Costa Rican jungle paradise just minutes from the Caribbean Sea. This bright and spacious home in Cocles, Puerto Viejo, is perfect for families or large groups up to seven.

The space has been crafted by myself, a unique design inspired by the nature that surrounds it. It is built with natural materials, using traditional construction methods and ecological techniques, featuring fallen trees as structural beams, bamboo and straw thatches.
It is tucked away, providing a secluded and tranquil space where you can feel safe, relax and seek comfort in the jungle, yet remaining walking distance to the many amenities of the town and just 200m from Cocles beach.

Here, you can experience the abundance of nature that Costa Rica is so famous for - live amongst wildlife such as sloths, howler monkeys and toucans, and wake up to the sweets sounds of hummingbirds. Explore the lush jungle vegetation and find a rainbow of tropical plants growing close by.

The Jungle Loft is a spacious environment set over three floors. It features three bedrooms, two bathooms and an indoor kitchen complete with self catering facilities. The open-air living area is designed as a sociable space filled with couches, a hammock and a dining table. The open spaces enable you to relax amongst the beautiful surroundings, yet remain covered and prot7ected should the tropical rains arrive.
We live nearby so we are around to assist you if necessary.
The Caribbean coast of Costa Rica is a unique place where warm seas meet tropical rainforest and wildlife is plentiful.
There are many activities to do nearby. For sea lovers, there is surfing, snorkelling, SUP, kayaking, canoeing, boat tours and diving. For hikers and nature lovers, head to one of the two national parks, waterfalls, botanical gardens or rainforests. Foodies can explore the chocolate and coffee tours, while thrill seekers can go rafting or see the landscape from up high on canopy tours. Or simply explore by foot or rent a bicycle to cruise around.
And when you are tired from the many activities, you can relax on the beach or retreat to a hammock and listen to the wildlife that surrounds you. Pura Vida!

I can’t in good faith say this property was safe or clean enough to stay in, and although the layout is unique and the concept is interesting, I’d advise bookers to be aware of a dated structure without a secure front door/entry as it’s open-air. There was food in the sink, and it smelled. The bathrooms were in desperate need of repair and cleaning. Significant mold and rust on fans. I am not sure the condition of this property warrants its listing on this site, or even whether it is appropriate for human occupancy.

Within walking distance of everything but feels like living in the rainforest... sloths, tucans and many more „visitors“ make the open air living room a nature lovers paradise. Manu is a very friendly and helpful host. We‘d love to come back!
