I definitely recommend this property and would stay here again. The house is stocked and furnished perfectly. Simple, elegant and useful. Nothing seemed worn out or flimsy. We loved how close it was to the creeper trail and restaurants etc. The carport was great as we had brought our trailer with bikes. We had a question during our stay and the host responded right away. Luckily I had read the reviews and knew the address was incorrect, but I can confirm that the address that is associated with the property according to Google maps is West Valley St (W Vly St), NOT Valley St NE.

Excellent location could walk to everything. Kitchen was fully equipped. Home was full of charm and character. We really enjoyed our weekend stay and look forward to returning to Abingdon for another weekend and a play at the local theater.

This was my second time staying at this property. The location is perfection. The beds are comfortable. The bathrooms and all decor is lovely. We always enjoy the comfy living room space for our hours spent chatting. The kitchen is ideal to cook and chat while eating all the munchies at the island. We do have two complaints really. The higher end dishwasher had mold all over the bottom, which made us question the cleanliness of all the dishes. Second being the heat was not working properly to warm the downstairs. There is a bedroom on that level that does not get sun and was quite cold in the morning. It never got above 60 on that level. We called and sent two messages attempting to contact the host with no response. I've loved everything else about this property, so I'm going to continue to work to resolve these issues for me to be happy booking it again in the future.

We enjoyed a lovely weekend at Abington and this house was a main factor in our enjoyment. Four siblings and spouses for a total of 7. We cooked a fabulous meal in the well equipped kitchen on Friday night. The kitchen is fully equipped and spacious. The dining room is connected which allowed all of us to be together. The living room was comfortable for our entire group to be together. Perfect stay in Abington!

Beautiful 1895 historic home. We enjoyed our stay- comfortable and elegant. We walked to the Barter Theatre each day and dined in excellent restaurants each evening. I loved the glass doorknobs throughout the home as well as the well equipped kitchen, elegant fireplaces, and charming wrap-around porch.

We came here with both our girls and the husbands. They both have recently got married. So we are empty nesters. We had a blast. We played board games, had dinner, rode the creeper, shop and made tons of memories. We came here to celebrate mine and my husbands 50th birthdays

House is beautiful and absolutely perfect for 6 ladies.Loved the location & walkability to the town.Plenty of supplies available, although soap was missing from Master bathroom.Took us 35 minutes to find the home.Check in instructions say 231 NE Valley Sr.In actuality it is NW. Would have been easier to say corner of Valley & Reservior street. No communication from host, despite messaging x 2.Carport was big enough for 3 cars.No checkout info provided.

Had a great time and the space was very accomodating. When we arrived there was water leak under the sink and we had not experienced a touchless faucet so had to call. Would have been nice to have a little notecard by the sink to tell you how to use it. Also expected an explanation to what to do when we depart but did not see anything in writing so had to message and get instructions.

The beds were comfy. Kitchen well-stocked with necessities. Convenient location to walk all of Abingdon without needing to get back in a vehicle. The only improvement I would suggest for the house is a few extra blankets/snuggle blankets around. A couple friends got chilly and there wasn't really anything. I had asked if we could check in a little early and never heard back. Thankfully it was only an hour and when we arrived (an hour early) the house was ready, despite no response from the property manager.

We had six adults and two children. There was room for all of us to sit in the living room, eat in the dining room, and it was tight but doable to have all eight of us working in the kitchen! Bedrooms were fine and we were close to the center of town. We would definitely stay here again!

We loved celebrating Thanksgiving here. The house was great! The upgrades were as well. Very welcoming home rather than a house. One of the very best we’ve stayed in over the years. Enjoyed the convenience to so many places to eat and shop. Loved Mama Mia’s for pizza and Italian.

We had a great stay at this VRBO. The house was as described for the amenities and its location. It was a 3 minute walk to the Martha Washington Inn where our meeting was being held. We were happy to have a space to go back to relax and regroup.

I took my 85-year-old mother and her 86-year-old friend for a weekend in Abington. We went to the Barter theater and dinner reservations in town. The location was perfect. The house was perfect. Everyone had their own space. We had great times on the front porch. Great times around the kitchen table. Great times in the living room. Thank you for such a perfect house and a great weekend!

The house was very adequate for our group, and the kitchen was well-equipped. Bathrooms were clean and adequate for all our needs. The space in all the rooms was very comfortable. The location was great for us to explore shops and restaurants on Main St., and we loved attending the play at the Barter Theater. The house is a great location for enjoying Abingdon and all it's charm.

We were supposed to spend 3 nights there. We had a race in town that was postponed by one day. We decided to arrive later with that in mind. The electricity was out all over Abingdon and surrounding areas. Our race was canceled so we ended up coming home and didn't stay. However, the house is so beautiful. We were disappointed in not getting to stay. We will definitely book this the next time we are in Abingdon. The host was great to work with on a possible late checkout and was understanding of us leaving early with no power and our race canceled.
