Dream beach home on Lewis Bay with ocean views & amazing outdoor areas

Lovely home in great location, ocean breezes on a quiet pretty street. Some upscale touches like Minka ceiling fans that you would normally never see in a rental. Mostly clean and comfortable, sufficient towels, great bedding--those are the pluses, as well as nice personal care and sufficient cleaning products. However on the negative: management company and communication were about the worse we've had, as frequent VRBO renters, and I'd expect more from Vacasa. Small issues in the home could have been handled with the proper response--To start off, ice maker in the freezer doesn't work--not the end of the world if we had been told beforehand, to bring in some ice, but that never happened. No ice on the first night of vacation isn't a good start. After several texts by me plus DM's in VRBO site, all I kept getting was No worries, this has been reported to our local team. We are still waiting for any update. However, rest assured that we will let you know once we get any information. That never happened--Bottom line is after 5 days there was still no response or help to our relatively simple problems/requests--information on the heating system and a couple non-operable lights and fans. There was no kind of instruction manual as is normally found in rentals, and we got NO ANSWERS after repeated requests. We thought that we had turned the heat completely off at the only thermostat we could find, but the entire trip felt like heat was coming from the vents.

This place was great for our girls weekend. Three renovated bathrooms and an up to date kitchen. Ocean views from some decks. Comfy furniture in the living room. Walking distance to small beaches and a nice breakfast place. We loved it and would consider staying again. Thank you!

Great place for multi family weekend parents siblings

It is in a beautiful location. Walking the neighborhood was very nice, walked to the beach

Had our little granddaughter with us. A little beach was located within a 2min walk for her first time at the ocean. Very nice quiet neighborhood.

Check-in was a breeze and owner was responsive to questions. House was very clean and in a great location close to several beaches.

The stay and the property was great. The problem came after we checked out and realized that my grandson forgot an iPod. While driving home it took an hour to speak to a representative and for them to fill out a ticket. Although it took a while, this was acceptable to us. After driving another hour, my grandson then discovered that he left his favorite stuffed animal behind. The representative we talked to this time was incompetent as he assured us that this second item would be added to the original lost item ticket. This was confirmed when an update on the lost iPod was received. This caused unnecessary distress to my grandson and another call was made to correct the incompetence of the second customer service representative. Thankfully, everything turned out well as both items left behind were delivered.

Had a late booking and didn’t know what to expect. Cape Shell is a cozy cottage a block or so from the water. We had a lovely time and would book again.

The home was clean & very comfy. 5 minute walk to a nearby beach & wonderful neighborhood to walk through during my morning walks. The soaking tub is FABULOUS! The code didn't work when we arrived at the property, and after waiting on the phone, someone was able to assist with getting into the home. The views from the balconies are beautiful. We had a wonderful time! Thank you for allowing us to stay.

Good and quiet location. Could use better pillows. Overall, good stay.
