This property is so peaceful! Door County Cottage, near Haines Beach has a large lot with room to have private camp fire with and neighbors far enough away through the woods that you feel secluded. The Cottage is very clean and remodeled recently. Beds are so comfortable with large rooms. Everything really sets this property apart, and then there is all the extras: Kayaks, bicycles, toys for littles and games for adults! I definitely recommend this property. Owners are easy to contact and fast to respond.

Quiet location outside of busy areas of door county. But just a few minutes from downtown sturgeon bay. Clean, spacious and well equipped. We enjoyed walking and biking the loop.

The cottage was very easy to get to and very accessible to Sturgeon Bay. We did have an issue with some yellow jackets, but I believe Rick's dad, was kind enough and bought an extra can of spray, since the current can only had enough to kill a few on the nest. Small suggestion, to possibly add more reinforcement to the queen size bunk bed. My daughter and husband said it was coming through the slats causing them to roll in towards the middle. But overall they still rested well and the cottage was just what we needed. We enjoyed our stay. The area is beautiful.

We enjoyed our stay. Loved the extras that came with the property such as the kayaks, bikes and baby equipment. Secluded but still close to water, beaches and the town of Sturgeon Bay.Hosts were very quick to respond to our questions.

Our family of five had a fantastic first trip to Door County, and a big part of that was thanks to this wonderful cottage. The owners were communicative, responsive, and a pleasure to work with. They’ve thoughtfully included so many family-friendly amenities—from baby gear (which we didn’t need this time), to pet supplies, board games, puzzles, video games, coolers, kayaks, bikes, and more. It’s clear they’re intentional and truly committed to helping families have a great experience.

Was a great location and the property was perfect for a guys ice fishing weekend. The house was very nice with everything you would need. Comfortable beds and bedding. Saw deer most morning and night from the front room windows! Would love to get up there again to enjoy the property in the summer!

Great home in a very quiet and secluded area. The home was relatively clean, however our dog did find some trash, presumably from a previous guest, underneath the couch. The home was otherwise very clean. The fireplace was not functional, which was a bit of a disappointment as we arrived in winter, and the heat was a little hit/miss at times, but nothing that was unmanageable. Overall we had a very nice time and would recommend the property to anyone.

This was the perfect location for our annual friends trip! It was easy to get to and the perfect amount of space for us all. The games were a hit between all of us and we played games we haven’t played in years. It was like old times! Being able to walk around the neighborhood every morning was great too. Highly recommend booking this property! You won’t regret it.

A few of my friends and I stayed at this house for a bachelorette weekend getaway. It was perfect for what we needed. The place was clean and modernized, the kitchen was fully stocked with the basics, and everything was easy to use. The owners are also easy to communicate with. It was within easy driving distance of the rest of Door County so it's easy to take day trips to explore the peninsula further. I would stay here again.

I am one of 8 siblings. We had 3 groups staying on Snake Island. 2 groups had houses on the water so this house worked for my parents and my family to escape the craziness. We were able to enjoy the other houses on the water and come back and enjoy the space and quiet of this property. This house had the most space and amenities. Tons of games, video games the garage was fully stocked. Especially liked having 2 bathrooms and laundry. Plenty of towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Our kids grabbed bikes and were able to bike to the other properties and since we had so many people we got use of having the regular size kayaks, so we could kayak in big groups. There were also a large range of sizes for life jackets to choose from and in great condition. Everyone agreed this was the best house, it was just not “ on the water”.Worked for us because I didn’t have to host a dinner and clean up after everyone. It is also with walking distance to where you can launch kayaks. The host responded whenever I had a question and offered suggestions.
