Also, the outdoor gas grill was filthy and the grease trap caught fire when we cooked hamburgers. Afterwards, I spent an hour cleaning the grill and emptying the grease trap.

There's lot's of room for all of your guests, as well as plenty of outdoor patio space. I highly recommend the linen package. You will need your own paper products and kitchen towels, though. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would highly recommend this home and this area.

The house was perfect for us. We had three generations and there was plenty of room. It was well stocked with plenty of dishes, cups and glasses as well as cookware. The views were lovely and the beds comfortable.

We had a lovely time at Family Tides. It was our first time staying at Broadkill. The house was well stocked and maintained. Although we didn’t have great weather, it was a fun relaxing time with our adult children.

My husband and two daughters and I stayed at this beautiful property. Amazing views from everywhere…..living room, two of the bedrooms, deck and screened in porch. It’s one house away from the beach so it was super convenient. Also, we really appreciated the house having quality appliances and a fully stocked kitchen.

The house is beautiful, but it was filthy when I arrived. Blood drops on the floor next to one of the beds, dandruff and other flakey debris on the rather worn sofa, hair (human and dog) all over the main (top) floor, food crumbs scattered across the counters and floors, greasy finger smudges on the appliances and sink/door handles, the trash bins under the house already packed with waste from prior guests and infested with swarms of flies (more than usual even for BKB) and one coated in maggots. I spent hours cleaning so I could sleep and eat in the place. Swiffer wipes came up caked in brown dirt from the floor. The property agent said that the last time it was cleaned was 2-3 WEEKS prior and she later found out that the owner let relatives use the house during that time, and did not arrange for it to be cleaned before I got there. The agent offered to send someone to clean while I was there but by that point, I had already done a lot of the work and unpacked, and wanted to try to relax. She offered a small partial refund and two additional nights. The house needs additional maintenance to address stained upholstery/rug, dirty handprints on the walls, etc. If you book this house, get a separate written guarantee that it will be professionally cleaned the day of your arrival or you’ll get a full refund. Giving 3 stars out of 5 (via VRBO) because the house design is great, particularly the screened porch, and the agent was very responsive and tried to be helpful.

The only thing I would say is the website notes the coffee maker is for kcups but it was a different filter. We had to go and grab coffee which was 20 minutes away from the house. Also the check out should be 11 not 10. They expect you off the property by 10 am which is early if you are on vacation and want to stay up until a little later enjoying the home. Specially if you cannot check in before 3pm.

The house is stunning inside and out. The overall floor plan is perfect for families. The bathroom downstairs is wonderful for long beach days (you don't have to track sand through the house). The bedrooms are all spacious - much more than it looks like in the photos. Everyone (even my older parents who shared the bunk/trundle room) was comfortable and happy. The big open plan on the top floor is incredible - big comfy couch, big inviting dining table, open beautiful kitchen, and relaxing screened-in porch! We were a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 littles), a family of 3 (2 adults, 1 littler), and my parents. It was a great size for us. And just steps from the beach! It is very residential mixed with rental homes. Everyone was kind and respectful. We love the little general store with ice cream and a lot of restaurants in town. The only negative (and it's not even about the house) is that the area is known to have nasty flies that attack during different weather/wind conditions. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and I hope to make it back for a return trip!
