Stayed Feb 19, 2022Me, my brother, and our wives enjoyed staying at 357 Descanso St. The unit was spacious and attractive. The full kitchen saved us money on breakfasts, and the patio was great for us scuba divers. Stephen K

Stayed Sep 11, 2025Nice clean house, with a perfect location. We really liked the fact we could put our bikes in the side yard.

Stayed Aug 9, 2024The house is typical for Avalon however there were some problems in this place for sure. The toilet ran constantly and was very loud at night. The old sofa pull out bed was broken and could not be used. The TV never worked for us even after many attempts to follow their directions. When we arrived the trash cans were full and since it was a Friday, we had to share trash with neighbors we knew. In defense of the management company we did not call for help or repairs. The place was clean but the couch and carpets are stained and bit sticky. We did have a nice stay even with all of the above, it's Catalina and things are a bit different there so you make do and this is my home town, so I get it.

Stayed Apr 18, 2024This is a spacious cottage that has been completely redone without losing the charm. Loved the location, close enough to town but far enough away to be quiet.

Stayed Jul 31, 2023Bathroom had mold in shower, paper peeling from ceiling and toilet did not flush. Whole place needs an update and deep clean. Lots of traffic on street behind house. Would not recommend to anyone. Price was high you can get a much nicer place o the island.. don’t rent this place… we were told they did upgrades 6 months before…. Don’t know where ???

Stayed Jun 26, 2023We went to Catalina to celebrate my daughter’s high school graduation and chose this property because of its close proximity to the Botanical Gardens, grocery store, and waterfront. We were able to walk everywhere. It was clean, comfortable, and the check-in process was seamless and easy. Would stay here again!

Stayed Sep 20, 2022We had a very nice stay here. I was rather surprised at the differences in the rates (we paid double the lower rate that was supposed to be an “average”. It was comfortable, beds nice, very clean overall. The two flush toilet seemed a waste of water since the first flush was usually inadequate to remove a single piece of paper.( I come from an area that is very conscious of conserving water.) I would suggest supplying at least one lounge chair in LR. If the management doesn’t warn you, DON’T close the main door to the entry hall. Renter is not provided with a key and we had to be “recused” by a service person they sent out. Be sure to ride the whole loop on the public bus for $2 to get an idea of the town and surrounding area. $5 for an all day pass. All other transportation is pricey. If I had known about it earlier I would have used it the first day there.

Stayed Aug 11, 2022I and my family spent 4 fun filled days in Catalina! The house here suited our needs. There were plenty of linens and pillows. The kitchen was stocked enough for our use which was mainly making breakfast. Though we didn’t use it, having a washer and dryer available was a plus. We also used the beach chairs and floats. Overall our stay was great. On the side of issues the main issue was that the sleeper sofa was extremely uncomfortable. Only one person slept on it and had to sleep diagonally. I wouldn’t count on two people sleeping on it. We would rent again if that was replaced as all else was good,
