Avalon's Only Waterfront Beach House! Best Location! Best Views! Best Deck!

Everything was perfect about this Catalina beach home - the lovely location right on the waterfront, very neat and clean, the gorgeous view of the harbor, the pier, the Casino, etc. It couldn’t have been better. The owner, Randy, was so very nice, answering any questions we may have had. We so appreciate that he allowed us to stay until 4, since it was raining very hard and our boat was not leaving until 5 PM. Luckily no one was checking in at 3. This beach home is definitely the best that we’ve stayed in while in Avalon. Thank you!

It was perfect for our family. We have eight from 10-70. Though the kitchen was well-stocked, we mostly ate out and enjoyed the many delights of Avalon.

They property as expected is very close to the ferry terminal, on the way into Avalon, it can't be missed. It is literally a few yards from the Veteran's memorial and the basket ball courts near the park entrance. The courts get busy at night, but that ends around 10pm. There is a bit of heavy street traffic through out the day, but not offensive. We stayed in the middle section, the neighbors above us were very nice. Our misfortune was only the weather, which after the first couple days, the weather became cooler and drizzle grey overcast. However we aproached the host to extend our stay which he did so we ended up with bright sunny weather for that last couple days. All and all the property exceeded our expectations, and recommended it to anyone considering a stay there. A convenient bonus for us and young grandchildren is the establishment at the bottom of the stairs adjoining the property, Catalina Cones. A young couple as proprietors having the best asortment of ice cream we found on the island. I highly recommend stopping there.We were grateful that our host was able to let us extend our stay the extra day, as the weather really turned around the last two days which we should have departed according to our original reservation. It helped make for a nice ending for our visit to Catalina.

10/10 Stay: Perfect Avalon Getaway at the Grisham HouseWe absolutely loved our stay at the Grisham House! The location is unbeatable, just minutes from the Catalina Express dock, steps from the beach, and walking distance to Vons, restaurants, shops, and everything Avalon has to offer.The home itself is over 100 years old, full of historic charm, but still incredibly comfortable and clean. The listing was 100% accurate, and everything exceeded expectations. We ended up cooking breakfast one morning and were pleasantly surprised to find the kitchen fully stocked with everything we needed. Cleanup was easy and the trash location (right below the stairs) was super convenient.Randy was an amazing host, communicative, organized, and made sure we had all the info we needed for a smooth and memorable stay. We were a group of seven and had more than enough space.Highly recommend the Grisham House for anyone looking to enjoy Avalon without any stress. Would definitely stay here again!

House is amazing. Views are amazing. Patio is amazing. Location is ideal. Owner is beyond responsive and accommodating. Will definitely be back and recommend to anyone considering.

This was our 2nd trip to the Grisham House. It was absolutely perfect, as usual.

The Grisham house made our whole weekend so much fun! The wrap around deck was EVERYTHING. Our group spent the majority of our time there people watching, playing games and just having a great time. Everything was exactly as listed. The location was amazing and we could walk to everything.

Randy is extremely responsive providing detailed information about the location. The place is gorgeous! My husband and I celebrated his 50th birthday with a quick weekend stay!! We couldn’t have asked for a better location!! Thank you Randy!! We hope to be able to stay again soon!

This location is magical. If you’re looking for convenience to everything in Avalon, you found it. We could not have asked for a better place to call our home away from home. Host is wonderful to work with. We’ll be back and can’t wait!

We had an excellent experience. The location was absolutely perfect—close to everything I needed, making my stay incredibly convenient. The owner was fantastic, maintaining great communication throughout the entire process. They went above and beyond and even made accommodations to our stay. This is the third time my family has stayed in this beautiful house. The location and the view of the pier and casino are unbeatable. The house has a very cozy feeling. The deck is fantastic for having a barbecue and making memories with our family.

Incredibly gracious family owner and manager and an equally wonderful property. Our three generations of family had the perfect extended weekend stay. For elderly family, this property is located about a 100yds from the ferry boat terminal - super convenient. Has everything you’d need from kitchen supplies to extra blankets and pillows. You can tell this property has established a loyal following of repeat customers, of which we’re pleased and grateful to now be a part of.

We enjoyed our visit to Catalina to celebrate our marriage on the Island 21 years ago. First time at this location. Great 4 bedroom setup made this easy. Weird that the front door enters into one of the bedrooms. Keep that in mind if you have someone who sleeps early and others who come in late, or want to leave early in the morning while folks are sleeping. We put the deep sleeper 17 year old in that room because nothing wakes them up. Those are quirks of the island I guess. The hallway bathroom’s shower was clogged so we had no access to that shower. With 2 other showers we were ok. You cannot use both showers at the same time, so that is something to note. There isn’t enough water pressure to have both showers running at the same time nor enough hot water. We had to hunt around for heaters because it was freezing in winter at night. The beds did not have warm enough blankets and there were no extra blankets that we could find. Hosts would do well with supplying some extra blankets for each room in the winter. ( We came through New Year’s). We put the space heaters on we were ok. But, the first night some of us froze as we couldn’t find out where all the space heaters were stored. Otherwise, kitchen was stocked. It was clean and we had a great stay.

This property is very special, there are no other residences this close to town and right on the water. I wanted something close to everything because my dad can’t walk very far and the view could not be better. We had a wonderful Christmas making memories that will last a lifetime

This was the most ideal location on the island for a ladies get away weekend. Wlaking distance to everything! Would definitely come back again. Host was super responsive and very helpful. Thanks again!

Our long over due family vacation was epic! We loved staying at this lovely waterfront home and truly hope to be able to enjoy the accommodations again in the near future! Convenient location!
