319CE: Budget-friendly Cottage, 2.5 Blocks to Beach and Shops + WIFI

Nice place !

Comfortably accommodated our family of 6. Our boat arrived 4 hours before check-in, but the property manager allowed us to leave our luggage in the living room while the maid finished cleaning so that we could go see the sights without dragging our luggage along. Small spaces, but that's typical for all buildings in Avalon. Heater, no A/C, but plenty of fans and extra blankets in the closet.

The outside area is well kept up and the location is perfect but the inside of the house is run down and needs some upgrades. No vents inside the bathrooms, half the blinds don’t work and some windows won’t stay opens. Also the heater inside the house was not working so we had to use space heaters.

Beautiful and comfortable little house. Space to socialize, nicely appointed kitchen, and comfortable beds. Super close to everything in downtown Avalon and just a joy to stay there.

WIFI didn't work at all,

It’s a very old home, it has a unpleasant smell, you can hear the neighbours talking, the only good thing about this place is the location.

After seeing the excellent reviews, we decided to rent this one after finding our normal rental was booked up. Location is great, walking distance to everything. Even the sleeping arrangements are good with bunk bed and another bed for the kids, and the 2nd room for parents. One of the bathrooms is a bit small and tight, other then the toilet the room wasn't used. Even my 12 y/o thought the shower was too small too confined.The pictures are a bit deceiving. One shows carpet in the living room and then wood so you didn't know what you were getting till you got there (Its wood flooring).Also, not fan of an electric stove, so was excited when the pictures showed gas. Spoiler..its electric.Plenty of cooking utensils, pots, pans, glassware, plates , etc, so for those cooking on site, you will be fine.One security issue I found was that the back door to the back yard from the back bedroom does not lock. If anyone entered the side gate (also no lock) , they could walk into the house through the back door.Other that it was great. Management quick to respond, maintenance quick to address.

Loved the place location was the greatest

Perfect place to getaway for the weekend. Family and I celebrated my birthday. BBQ and fun.

Really close to Main Street everything clean and neat and well organized. The host was very understanding of our needs.

Just what we need for a family getaway..!

I hate how this property management company has listed their properties on VRBO. These properties are falling apart, the absolute bare minimum of what is described or promised. I paid 1000 to stay for two nights. They didn't even have TOWELS in the bathroom. The property is not adequately supplied for the number of people they claim it can host. Overall, I would stay away from any Catalina properties this company manages. The only thing they have going for them is the perfect location right in the middle of Avalon.

This was the only place in Catalina we found that allowed us to bring our dog. It was such a treat to have him with us during our stay and Catalina the property was charming, not very modernized, but has that old-school Catalina feel and vibe which we appreciate.

Cute cottage, has games, collar to Von’s. Short walk to beach. Place was very clean. Only issue Wifi did not work Tv. Had to use hotspot on our phones. Message the link provided at checking didn’t great back. But had a great time with family

A very nice stay overall. Great location within walking distance to many wonderful places.
