I am only able to give this location a 2 star rating. I will start with the positive. The location was easy to find, access instructions were easy to follow and execute, the home was clean and stocked with towels, toiletries, and kitchen items. The great location is the bonus and the highlight. The home itself however was poorly maintained. There were light bulbs out in several rooms, which made the poor lighting overall even worse. The fan in the bathroom squeaked so loud we didn't use it. While the beds were conformable enough, the living room sofa was not comfortable. We can look past the age of the home, most houses on the island are very old. But the overall lack of upgrades and minimal maintenance was a disappointment. I would not book this location again.

The downstairs toilet did not work because there was rust in the tank, so it could not be used during the stay. The upstairs shower was extremely small. It required bending over the entire time just to shower.An email was sent to the contact provided about the toilet issue, but no response was received.Overall, the place did not feel worth the price paid. The location on Catalina is great, but the maintenance issues and lack of communication made the stay frustrating.

The location was ideal being in walking distance to most of Catalina’s attractions. The house was not as clean as we expected and we did not have a working fridge initially however property management did respond offering a mini replacement and when alerted about cleanliness promised they would address with cleaners for future visits. It was a quaint cottage-like home that I would recommend once the above items are resolved.

We love this place. It's perfect for our family and the location is great.

I can’t imagine a better location for a rental stay in Avalon., In the flat streets, near the boardwalk and ferry terminal. The property is a bit tired, but served our needs. The stairs leading upstairs are not to current code in several aspects (pitch, run, railing) so be careful. The most unpleasant aspect was the pool of stagnant water with mosquito larvae. That I see as a property management issue, so hopefully our pointing it out to them will address that issue. All said, we might stay there again if that was addresses. It so hard to find a place so close to town center.

The accommodations were perfect. Large and roomy with TV's in every room. Perfect for our group. The internet was speedy and great for those folks that needed to catch up on some work.

Previous reviews were very helpful. Overall this was a great place to stay, close to town, great location. The washing machine didn't work, neither did the cable. The sliding closet door in the downstairs bedroom is broken and could be dangerous for young kids. Super cute spot but could use a little TLC/deep clean, and also not perfect for very tall people. We had a great time though, it was perfect for my 82 year old mom and my 18 year old son...location was a big sell.

This house was ok. For the price we were expecting a little more. We have stayed at many hotels and str’sThe kitchen was ok but expected to have some way to store leftovers, wrap or rubber ware, coffee was not supplied. It really was the little things that added up. The bikes had flat tires, one portable heater didn’t work (house is cold so it is needed)and the blinds on front door need replacing. The office staff were very friendly and even offered us to be able to stay a little later. The location was perfect for our needs. The place just needs a littleold.

Upstair toilet flushing is not working and wash basin also plugged.

We Just stayed for three nights. Flooring is very uneven throughout the home - I worry about the safety of the foundation of this house. Lots of noise outside on the street with golf carts coming and going at all hours. I prefer something quieter.

The house we stayed in was wonderful. Excellent location. We could walk to everything. Even though it's on a very trafficed street, it wasn't noisy. The property was clean, cared for, and the property managers were available and easy to deal with.

The town of Avalon is so cute and definitely worth the trip. The VRBO is adequate but I’m not sure I’d stay here again. The location was amazing but the house seems more like your grandmas house that hasn’t been updated in at least 20 years. We spent most of our time hanging out and watching tv in the bedroom because the living room couch cushions have seen better days. It took a couple of days before we found the washer/dryer mentioned in the listing, because it’s outside! It was requested for us to was and out away dishes before leaving, which we did but there’s no dishwasher and there’s no dish rack. The bedroom tv remote only had one battery in it, but no extra batteries could be found — so now the living room remote only has one battery.

Cottage was located so close to the beach it made it very easy for us to run back to the house when we forgot something
