Great location, steps to the beach in a quiet, nice neighborhood. Property was clean and well organized. Just a note one of the bedrooms/bathrooms is not attached to the house so this may be an issue with small children.

We really enjoyed catching up at the beach. Easy walk to town and very close to beach.

When we first arrived the house didn't feel clean. The outside front and back patio's were not clean at all. we had to call to have them come back and clean it. the inside throw rugs were all wore out and the haven't been changed since we started renting it years ago. The towels that were supplied were old and wore out. you could tell that the minimum was done before the next guest arrived. The coffee cups were all stained from the previous renter and the stains would not come out. It's time for the owner or supervisor to do an evaluation on the property. The owner or Burr White has no problem raising the rates but cannot do there part to make sure it's worth it to the customer. The television service needs to be updated and provide more options to the customer. It was very difficult to operate and the service was down while we were there. All the bed sheets were stained, pillow cases were stained and some pillows did not have cases. Dust every where and hadn't been touched in a while. We used to love this location, but now we have to do a precheck to make sure its worth renting. Not pleased at all for what there asking for to rent. This may go to deaf ears but maybe someone will see it. The best thing we enjoyed was the location.

The Balboa Peninsula is one of the truly special parts of Southern California, and this home is a wonderful way to experience it.

Loved this little house. Clean, cozy and close to all we wanted to do (beach, bike rides, Great Mex, ferry to Balboa Bars), etc. Communication with property manager was fantastic and they seem to really care about guest experience.

This area of the peninsula is very quiet and away from all the action. We enjoyed riding our bikes or walking most places. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and the separate studio was perfect for guests. My only suggestion would be if you are planning for a longer stay like ours, bring better bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths. The ones provided are tiny and thin and don't do much. If you are looking for a quiet get away, I would recommend.
