Stayed May 4, 2024Where to start. This is such a magical property to stay in. Our hosts gave us a wonderful welcome, and were always available to answer any questions we had. The actual accommodation is simply superb, and anything that you could think of was supplied. I was cooking for a small group, and I have never had such a well equiped kitchen in any previous accommodation I have used. The location is fantastic for sightseeing. I cannot recommend this property enough.

Stayed Aug 2, 2025Everything was just right, with an easy checking in process, help on hand if we needed it. The kitchen was very well equipped and the laundry facilities were particularly useful. The pool was enjoyed by everyone. This was a memorable time in a special place with our children and grandchildren. Our thanks to our hosts for providing such a wonderful venue.

Stayed Jul 19, 2025Absolutely perfect stay. The rooms were amazing, the pool was perfect. We're already thinking about coming back for longer next year. The area is really interesting with lots of interesting and beautiful towns and chateaux to visit nearby, as well as great food and gorgeous landscapes, canoeing on the Dordogne all a couple of minutes away. Dan and Karen were brilliant, helpful but never invasive, and they have stocked the house with comfy furniture, luxurious beds, good quality kitchen utensils and lots of little areas to sit and be together. It's just a really wonderful place.

Stayed Jul 13, 2024Our extended family of ten spent an all too brief week at Karen and Dan’s sublime 16th century manse. The stone walls kept it cool inside - the kitchen was well equipped for family meals- the location is perfect for all you’ll want to do in this glorious region. The beds were extremely comfortable. It was very quiet and impeccably clean. And it’s amazing for each bedroom to be supplied with its own bathroom. The owners’ proximity for advice and assistance was invaluable. Everywhere you looked your eyes fell on nothing but beauty.

Stayed Aug 19, 2023We are a family of four. We stayed for a week and had various friends and family stay for short periods throughout the week ranging from 2 to 85 years old and everyone absolutely loved it. The property is stunning, the photos don’t do it justice. It is perfectly located in between beautiful towns and villages with perfect views to Chateauxs with hot air balloons in the morning. The hosts Dan and Karen have perfected the ideal blend of being welcoming, available, attentive whilst allowing you to peacefully enjoy your stay. The kitchen is really well equipped with complimentary local biscuits and coffee. The property is immaculately well kept with every small detail thought of. The beds are really comfortable, the water pressure in the showers is brilliant. The pool is clean and perfect for larger groups as well as small. We also had our two dogs. They were very welcoming and dog friendly and there are wonderful walks in the surrounding area. We booked our next stay here before we left and can’t wait to come back.

Stayed Jul 25, 2023Our extended family (grandfather, his children and their children) gathered at this special truly unique home over a period of three weeks. Years ago we had spent some time in the Dordogne and always wanted to come back. We could not have had a more beautiful or memorable time than we did in Vezac. The house is spacious, inviting and well-equipped. The vistas are stunning. The pool was refreshing and a lovely spot for gathering. We had perfect weather and enjoyed all our meals at the tables out of doors, often with hot air balloons wafting overhead. As hosts, Dan and Karen were gracious, thoughtful and attentive to details. We appreciated the good sheets and towels, fine soap, local goodies, and well-stocked kitchen and laundry. They also offered excellent advice for markets to visit, places to eat, and walking trails to local villages. The area is rich with history, culture, food and activities. We loved every minute of our stay in this extraordinary spot. We'd love to come back.

Stayed Jun 11, 2022We all enjoyed our stay. Many Chateaus and Troglodyte cave dwellings to see within a short drive and the pool provided an excellent place to relax afterwards. Facilities and furnishings in the house exceeded our expectations. Patio for dining out pleasantly shaded. Kitchen was adequate but could be a little larger, and due to unusually high temperatures while we were there, the top floor dormer bedrooms got rather hot, but fans are provided.

Stayed Dec 14, 2019This property was just perfect for our group of 3 families (6 adults and 6 older children) to get together from different corners of the world. The house was extremely comfortable and warm for our winter stay, spotlessly clean and well maintained, perfect for a lot of cooking and eating. We enjoyed the huge open fire, playing the piano, games of chess and hide and seek (lots of board games and books) and the huge flat screen TV. The house is perfectly situated to enjoy touring the Dordogne - fabulous markets every day, gorgeous little villages and castles of Beynac and Roque de Gageac (and many others - Rocamadour was a highlight too and well worth the drive.) Sarlat is close by for large supermarkets, petrol, great market and even a cinema. Dan and Karen were wonderful hosts, and left us many pantry items and treats - walnuts and pomegranates from the property, wine and chocolates, coffee..... We were all reluctant to leave!
