The location of the property is amazing. The views were great. I did feel I overpaid for the stay as the house was outdated and it had a old smell like the carpet hasn't been washed in a long time. The TVs in the house were ridiculous and don't function at all. The plumbing should be updated as well as the sink in the master bedroom did not work. Overall the location was amazing but that is all you are paying for. The house needs to be updated and cleaned properly.

The view from the front balcony and living room was beyond spectacular!!! 8 adults sat comfortably on the balcony with a birds eye view of the July 4th festivities, including the harbor dinghy parade and the fireworks. The house was clean, with a slight musty odor. Seating in the living room easily accommodated our group, with newer comfy couches and swivel seats so all seats can take in the view. The bedrooms were comfortable, with two showers, two toilets and three sinks/counters.Our issues were a quirky TV connection, a table lamp in the living room had a cut cord, the power reclining couch was not connected, and the hot water took over 15 minutes to heat, and then you had a choice between almost scalding or cold. Very difficult to regulate. It was well stocked with beach chairs, toys, and games. Overall a great place to enjoy Catalina!

Great view and perfect location, but that’s where the good stops. This is not a 3 bed 3 bath as advertised. It’s a 3 bed 2.5 bath with one of the bedrooms and bathrooms only accessible from the outside. “Private entrance” means it does not connect to the rest of the house unless you walk outside and up a flight of stairs. I thought private entrance meant it had a side door that also went to the outside of the house, not that it was a stand alone basement unit. With children traveling with us, this became an issue. Also, upstairs (the main living) had only one shower which wouldn’t turn on, leaving the only shower downstairs. We had to leave the main living quarters and go outside to go use the standalone bedroom/bathroom combo to shower. Lastly, the sink and dishwasher started leaking while we were there. I reported the issue but never heard back. Although the view was great, I will not be staying here again.

This property was just as described but the view was even more incredible in person. We woke up early to watch the sunrise and drink coffee on the balcony both days. Get up for the sunrise, you won't regret it! We were a group of 7 ranging in ages from toddler to senior. The seperate downstairs suite is only accessible by the outside stairs and is a little more updated than the rest of the house. This suite has a full bathroom as well. The main upstairs part of the house has maintained its original mid-century modern vibe. The house is a little quirky but overall lovely. We cooked/BBQ one night and found everything that we needed. The house did need a bit of maintenance, changing light bulbs and other small things but nothing that would deter us from renting again next year for our next family Catalina trip.

Me and 5 friends stayed here for 3 nights and it was perfect for us. It looks exactly like the pictures so it is a little dated but still fully functional! The view definitely made the whole place! Gorgeous! Also very close to everything we needed/ our furthest walk was about 10 minutes.Definitely recommend!

This was indeed a great location and fantastic view! Even though the place is dated, we would stay here again. The unit was clean and the management was quick to respond to questions that we had.

The living room view is worth the price, but the rest of the property is more run down than pictures suggest. Also, CIVR had no capacity to retain the dates i was coming and going, and there was no hot water Saturday night. I found the water heater in a mold ridden room off the garage and turned it back on.

Very nice and spacious older home. The view is fantastic! The property actually sleeps 6 . However, there are two air matresses that makes it sleep 8, and tons of space in the living room to wake up to a beautiful sunrise. I would definitely rent again just based on the view.

We had a great stay on Catalina. The house has gorgeous views and a great deck but quite worn inside. It could obviously use a new coat of paint, electrical work and new carpets but was decently clean for what it was. The house came with a BBQ, beach gear and deck chairs. The kitchen is also well appointed with ample dishes and service ware. It has an electric stove and the oven does not work. It was much like the photos on the website and the views were worth the worn feel. The manager was also easy to work with and came when a toilet was being finicky. All in all it suited our needs and we had a good time.

The place is fantastic. The giant steel plates on the street, however, were thunderous with every car passing. We left a cooler for the next guests.
