Stayed Aug 26, 2024The house, the location, the pool and the yard are pretty good. There are a few issues that shouldn’t be there due to the price: the house wasn’t thoroughly cleaned: it was a bit dusty, the couch had stains and the chairs outside were also dusty. The oven window is broken which is risky. The frying pan doesn’t work in a convection stove. The shower pressure isn’t great and the showers are quite small. For the price, we expected better! But it’s really near the beach which almost makes up for it.

Stayed Jun 17, 2023Our stay at the villa is requires a bit of a mixed review as the it has a lot of good features, but also some issues around maintenance and repair that need to be addressed. Good points: Location is fab, stones throw from a stunning beach which has a few restaurants, a nearby shop and a 25 minutes walk to Monte Gordo. It was spotlessly clean and well decorated. We were allowed entry at 4pm as we were coming from another villa with a baby and it was 32c, so thank you. It was quiet and we were not overlooked. The pool was great. And then the not so good points: We have stayed in lots of villas and the Welcome Pack varies, but we have never ever stayed in a villa where there was no Welcome Pack at all. Not even a bottle of water or a coffee pod which is just mean as well as inconvenient as we had to go to the shop right away. The layout in the lounge means you only have the sofa and then then a hard chair. We were only 4 adults but no one wanted to sit on the hard one. AC struggled as its open plan. In the garden, the sofa had and damaged and the cushion was badly ripped. The Sun loungers were plastic (6) with no cushions so v uncomfortable. Buy some decent cushions! Fixed shower screens leak so they have put up curtain across so now the shower is half the size. A bathroom cabinet is a mess. Carpets in 2 rooms were stained, beds were ok. 2 of the group left 3 days as they didn’t like it. Requires repairs/maintenance to be really good. For what we paid I expect better.

Stayed Oct 1, 2022Very good house for three generation family. Well equipped, good internet and TV. Managers were helpful and available. Fabulous location with lovely beach, dunes and pine woods. Great local bakery and 1K walk along beach or through woods to local town. Can recommend first two restaurants on the beach in Monte Gordo. Would happily use it again.

Stayed Sep 17, 2022This property is a few minutes' walk from a beautiful, long, sandy, clean beach. You can walk to Atura or Monte Gordo within fifteen minutes. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops to pick from. There's also an excellent supermarket/coffee shop/restaurant within five minutes walking from the Villa. The Villa itself is described as 'wonderful luxurious 4 bed, 4 bath villa'. There is a small unheated swimming pool with some pretty basic garden furniture - hard plastic loungers with no cushions , a small sofa and two chairs with cushions but the furniture was not in great condition and cushions have seen better days. There's a good outside table and plastic chairs (no cushions) plus a non gas BBQ (you have to buy coal etc for the BBQ). Inside downstairs living is a large sofa for four people at a push. Other than the sofa you'd have to sit on the hard dining room chairs. Kitchen is okay but we had to buy pretty much everything (olive oil, coffee, water, washing up liquid, cleaning liquid etc). Large-ish hall which is pretty handy and a downstairs shower room/WC/basin off the hall area. First floor are three bedrooms - one ensuite (strangely the ensuite was for the children's room with bunk beds?!), one bathroom servicing two double bedrooms (they don't have ensuites). On the top floor is a basic bedroom with tiny ensuite and a shower which is unusable as it's so small! There is also a washing machine in the eaves of the top floor bedroom. Outside attached to some of the bedrooms are lovely terrace areas which supplement the ground floor pool/BBQ/dining space. Unfortunately, there's no furniture on the terracing areas so beyond taking in the woodland views they don't actually service a purpose. That's a shame really as they would be lovely spaces if they were properly furnished (with decent quality outdoors furniture). We would go back to this area again. Loved the peacefulness of the area and the beaches, local towns and people were a joy. Faro airport is 45 minutes away and the Villa is very easy to find. There's a few decent quality hotels nearby so if we are returning we would likely go there

Stayed May 27, 2022The property was excellent, clean and stylish, plenty of room. The outside area is a good size, lovely pool and most of all because its the last property on the road (before the path to beach begins) it feels incredibly private. The owners Elise and Derrick were super friendly and helpful. With the beach only 200 metres away (wonderful long sandy beaches) and three bars/restaurants on this beach with 300 metres - it was a perfect chilled get-away. The kids loved it as too did us adults.

Stayed May 6, 2022Beautiful villa with pool. we enjoyed a wonderful holiday. Villa has a nice large private swimming pool. Everything in the house was fine, just turn on the air conditioning in the evening and the house was nice and cool for the night. The sea is within walking distance, from there you can walk across the beach to Mone Gordo. Plenty of options nearby for delicious food. From Vila Real de Santo António you can take the ferry to Ayamonte (Spain). 2 beautiful places. Stay in the villa is definitely worth repeating. Excellent communication (email) with the owner regarding questions etc.

Stayed Jun 12, 2021Everything was great. The house was exactly as shown in the pictures (even better live in all honesty), super close to the beach just as we wanted and with everything you could need for an amazing time. We enjoyed the privacy that the house offers as well. The outdoor space is extremely well thought off and offers all the comfort one could need. The owners were very thoughtful and extremely nice, making sure we would have everything we needed upon arrival. All in all, an amazing experience we will be looking to repeat some time soon.
