This unique 3 story home, built in 1931, is a one-of-a-kind vintage oceanfront property located just east of the Balboa Pier! There are 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms in the main 3 story, single family home. The 7th bedroom is a casita located off the courtyard to the left of the garage. The 3rd floor of the main home is a crow's nest bedroom with a raised marine captain's platform and dynamite views!The deck of the master bedroom is closed to guest. The home offers a huge courtyard and front patio.



The Space:

Welcome to the largest oceanfront vacation rental in Newport Beach available for weekly and nightly rentals! This unique 3500 square foot 3 story home, built in 1931, (remodeled in 2011) is a one-of-a-kind vintage oceanfront property located just east of the Balboa Pier! There are 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms in the main 3 story, single family home. The 7th bedroom is a casita located off the courtyard to the left of the garage. There are 2 full bathrooms and 2 bedrooms located downstairs. The second story has 3 full bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. There is also 1 bedroom with a small attached en suite room/closet that be can be used for cribs, play pens, or extra storage. The third story is a crow's nest bedroom with a raised marine captain's platform bed and 2 futons, dynamite views of the harbor, pier and ocean through the porthole and expansive windows!



The spacious master bedroom has a king bed with exceptional ocean views, marble bathroom, spacious walk-in closet, flat screen TV, a small kitchenette that is not for guest use, a small desk, and a sitting area where you can sit and enjoy the view of the beach, Catalina Island and the gorgeous sunsets. A great room on the first floor adjoins the sun room, dining and living rooms. The dining room has a table that seats 10-12 with an additional folding table and chairs for 6 in the hall closet for larger parties. The kitchen has stainless steel Viking appliances, granite counters, Bosch dishwasher, a dual sink, and a small walk-in pantry. The oceanfront patio has a set of lounge chairs and a covered cedar Cabana with an L-shaped sofa, perfect for hanging out with family and giving shade on a sunny day. There is an extra large courtyard in the back of the house with a picnic table, umbrellas, a gas BBQ and a hose for washing off from the beach. There is a shared laundry room for guests that is located in the courtyard, just to the right of the garage. There is a small apartment over the detached garage on the street-side of the property (not included in this rental). The only shared space is the laundry room off of the courtyard.



This house is within walking distance to local restaurants, the Balboa Island Ferry, boat rentals, shops and markets. This property is extremely popular AND it's the best deal on the beach for the size and amenities! There are 2 parking spots in the garage (no SUVs) and 3 additional spots located on the street, brick parking apron and the driveway to accommodate SUVs.



*Small kitchenette and outdoor stair case off the master bedroom is non operational and not for guest use.

Check in information will be given once you are booked and we receive your email address. The week of your check in date, guest will receive a guest portal email to download our phone app or go online to view all the property information.

-10 pm noise curfew ordinance Strictly enforced by Newport Beach Police

-Must be 26 or older to book

-Must provide your email and be able to access our company online portal for house info.

-No parties or gatherings.

-We try our best to keep updated on remodels/construction happening around our vacation units. However, construction can pop up anytime in the City of Newport Beach without notice. N.B.V.P is not responsible and will not issue refunds due to neighboring construction.

    Very old property. Small kitchen. Bedding old. Dust in casita. However, we chose this property as it has a grassy field, beach and on the boardwalk! Quick response to need of cleaning, electrical outage, and communication was clear and helpful.

    There were so many good things about our stay. There were a few issues.Upstairs 3rd floor drywall was a disaster and bugs were in this room. Our child was bit during her sleep and the bugs were in and around the bed where the drywall was exposed also opening in the wall with paint chipping and plaster. Has this been tested for asbestos? We need this confirmed. Plumbing backed up continually. Flys everywhere on the patios and then in the house. Outdoor fire pit not working. No air in the Casita. I have pics of the bites and bugs and drywall.

    Location is amazing and size of the home incredible. Tons of space to spread out, plenty of parking and great bedroom layouts. The home is a bit dated and could definitely use some new cushions on the patio and a few upgrades, but overall great stay! Management company was extremely helpful, responsive, and amazing to work with.

    Great location. Nearby bicycle rentals, restaurants and electric boat rentals. Surfing at Blackies beach just north of Newport pier 1.5 miles from home. Comfortable for our large group. The air conditioner worked for us (keep windows and doors closed when A/C is on.)

    Great location as the backyard has direct access to the beach. However, this place had an extremely strong odor when we first walked in. The light in one of the bathrooms did not work. One of the bed frames was broken on the third floor and one of our kids almost fell. Overall it is a very worn down place that needs renovation. When you check out, they ask you to remove some of the items on the beds and towels and leave them on the floor by the doors, which I don’t understand why because we had to pay all these fees. If you have a big family and you stay on the first floor, you’ll hear all the footsteps which makes it hard to sleep if you’re a light sleeper.
