Stayed Jan 1, 1The family spent a highly enjoyable week during early November at stunning Baddengorm Lodge. The property is very spacious, with many distinctive touches, comfortable and well equipped. The setting in particular was just beautiful and has very private grounds with woodland, stream and even its own Lochan. One week was simply not long enough to enjoy all that the property and surrounding area has to offer.

Stayed Jan 1, 1We gathered as a family to celebrate grandad’s 80th and found everything we wanted. Beautiful surroundings, plenty space and lots to occupy us even without travelling elsewhere. Table tennis, snooker and table football in the brilliant games room. TV, board games etc inside and a spacious cooking and dining area for celebratory meal (and cake!). The large windows in all the rooms meant lovely views in all directions.

Stayed Jan 1, 1We had a fabulous family week away at this idyllic house. Great location for access to the surrounding area and the beautiful walks in an around Aviemore and Boat of Garten. The house is secluded but a short drive from Aviemore and everything you may need. House is well stocked and has a super relaxing feel from the minute you walk in the door. We had great weather so got great use of the grounds and our dog loved the large area to explore! Would highly recommend this excellent property and the housekeeper who was very quick in responding to any queries that we had.

Stayed Jan 1, 1Another visit to Baddengorm and another great holiday. We love the location and surroundings. The house is great and suits our requirements and those of our friends. The house is in need of a wee bit of TLC, such as a coat of paint and the 'L' shaped sofa is not the comfiest. These are minor moans. We celebrated our 40th Anniversary with friends and had a Piper (Jason Faulkner) play for us. To hear the pipes as he approached the house down the drive was so atmospheric. It was a great place to celebrate our special occasion. A special shout out to the 'House Keeper' for maintaining and keeping such a large property in such excellent condition and so clean. So good we have booked our return already!

Stayed Jan 1, 1Our family of 10, myself hubby, our 2 sons their wives and our 4 grandchildren had a fabulous stay Friday 27th to 30th June at Baddengorm Estate. A beautiful property and grounds, so peaceful with plenty of space for us all to enjoy and relax. We enjoyed a walk up to the swing followed by a walk back down the river. Watching the birds and squirrels feeding and running about was great lots of videos and photos taken. We painted stones and added them to a little collection under the decking. We enjoyed a bbq and toasted marshmallows at the fire pit. A great time was had in the games room lots of laughter and fun trying to see who was best at table tennis. The house itself was amazing plenty of space if we all wanted to have a quiet moment to ourselves or join in a family game. I loved being able to look out the patio doors on the bedroom each morning and see the red squirrels running along the decking and onto the lawn. My daughter-in-laws and I had our morning yoga session on the lawn with the sounds of the stream running and the birds chirping it was so relaxing. A definite 10 out of 10 experience. We would recommend a holiday at Baddengorm.

Stayed Jan 1, 1The wonder that is Baddengorm. What a setting, what a great place for our stay in June and the weather behaved as well! Baddengorm is a wonderful property surrounded by Scots pines with a lovely burn bubbling through the grounds. Isolated, but not far from civilisation or the wonderful Cairngorms. A great place to relax and enjoy the company of good friends. We had a great stay. Add in the excellent meals from Speyside Kitchen and the holiday was perfect.

Stayed Jan 1, 1Wonderful location, quiet and secluded, but close to the village. We were a group of 5 couples celebrating 50 years of friendship and had a great time. The house is spacious and well equipped, and with so many windows you felt part of the landscape. Great place for birdwatching and we had the pleasure of the company of a red squirrel who came to one of the bird feeders in the morning! We had hoped to have a barbecue but couldn't find instructions or utensils but that is a minor quibble, and the only other point to make is that the sign post leading to the property could be a bit more noticeable, all 5 cars heading there missed it!! Highly recommend this holiday retreat.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Our families had a magical time at Badengorm. The location is stunning and our grandchildren had freedom to explore and play by the burn and also space within the lodge to do their own thing. The games room is a bonus...the snooker table was well used by the adults. However as other reviewers have mentioned space is limited in the kitchen area and we found a blackened pan on arrival. We loved Badengorm but the sofas were not comfy!!! As a family of 10...everyone asked me to mention the seating. We only used them of an evening as there is so much to see and do in this superb setting...however...comfort is everything! Making more use of the utility room...perhaps a basin to wash more dishes would be helpful? We ran out of space in the kitchen area for preparation etc. Thankyou for sharing your amazing home.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Location is idyllic, accommodation very comfortable. However, there are a few areas which need to be addressed to maintain the high standard of this accommodation. On arrival the kitchen floor around the sink area was not clean. One of the smaller pots had a burnt base which was black and had not been cleaned. Measuring bowl required cleaning before use. The large frying pan was bevelled on the base and not suitable for purpose. In general the kitchen felt pretty disorganised in terms of cooking utensils, knives, and occasional use dishes all stored in random drawers and cupboards. This could be improved. The freezer was heavily frosted and required defrosting. The curtain in the main bedroom downstairs had hooks which had come off the rail. The en-suite bathroom had a wicker basket for toilet rolls which needed a good clean. BBQ was full of ash and unburnt bark. Fire pit had there empty cider cans. The outside area at the back door felt unkept and unclean with a flip top bin which a mouse jumped out of. As well as this bin, there were other random boxes left at the back porch area. Empty tonic cans in the games room. The above issues are very minor intended for constructive feedback. They are not complaints. All in all we had an amazing stay but feel the above minor issues could easily be addressed to maintain this fantastic property. We would certainly recommend the Baddengorm Lodge and we hope that we have the opportunity to stay again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Baddengorm is a wonderful, spacious and comfortable property. Everyone had a great stay. The grounds are lovely with the stream, pond and bridges. The games room is excellent. Couple all of this together with the fantastic scenery of the Cairngorms and you have the perfect holiday. Wonderful.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The house was brilliant for our 2 families of 8 adults, with plenty of en-suite bedrooms, and a separate family bathroom. A few things that could help improve the comfort, is a larger kitchen workspace with more storage - there was very limited worktop space especially when trying to prepare meals for 8 people, and the ovens need updating/improving. Also there were no spare kitchen cupboards for our food. Also, there were very few wardrobes/cupboards or drawers in any of the bedrooms. In fact the Master Bedroom only had a small hanging rail with a few shelves - no wardrobe or drawers at all. Definitely needs more storage in the bedrooms! But the house is amazing set in beautiful tranquil grounds, with the fantastic bar/games room for those that fancy it! The owner also supplied some toiletries and cleaning products - very useful! And despite my few ideas for improving the house, we would recommend it.
