When we arrived where we parked our car had poo from an animal everywhere it was difficult to not stand in and we cleaned this up ourselves. The lodge overall is lovely and cosy, perfect for our getaway and great north lodges were so accommodating when we needed to change our dates due to medical reasons. Apart from the outside it was clean and welcoming. During our stay someone did come over to check the hot tub levels and these facilities were easy to use with instructions provided. Other appliances such as the hob and Cooker were unnecessarily complex to operate and the instructions were not clear. When looking for a contact during our stay we finally found a number to help with the operation of the appliances and they responded that they were on holiday. They did advise via text answering our questions but otherwise felt very alone if we needed anything else during this time. General waste bin was full when we left but were clearly labelled which was good. Overall lovely stay.

We had a peaceful stay at Wolf Lodge. It has cool alpine vibes. The log burner soon makes the room nice and cozy. We were able to cook some delicious meals in the kitchen. The sauna was amazing and on the clear nights the stars were beautiful from the hot tub.

We had a really nice week at wolf lodge. The lodge was cosy and fun, and had everything we needed really, and hot tub/sauna was really nice in the cool autumn weather, as was the wood burner and plenty of logs thanks (the hatchet was very blunt so making kindling was trickier but doable! - and I guess I could’ve just bought some!). Nice quiet location on the lane, with the path down to the river leading into the village etc and a great base for exploring area, the forests and mountains in the Cairngorms. Really nice week away.

While the pictures make it seem bigger then it is, I still enjoyed my stay there very much. Coming from Canada, it took a little getting used to. The stove ... HoB? was completely new to me. While the weather didn't co-operate too much, i did manage to sneak into the hot hot once, for a very relaxing time. The wood stove, while small, heats it up fast as well. My only complaint, was the shower/toilet. Not to say there's anything wrong with it, but being 6'1, 350lb, it was a tight fit for me. I would still stay there again though, in a heartbeat. It was a very good place to explore norther Scotland from!

Wolf Lodge was a lovely cosy, rustic retreat which we would highly recommend. The setting was secluded and private and the location really convenient for several attractions and activities. The place was clean, comfortable and had a lot of character - the upstairs floor accessed via ladder in particular was very charming. The hot tub was also a very nice feature and we were pleasantly surprised to find a sauna there too, (we may have overlooked this but it wasn't super evident from the website that there would be a sauna) although from the instructions it took us a short while to realise there were two switches to turn on the sauna rather than just one, and watch your step as you enter, as part of the wood has worn away but part has not. The space in the lodge generally is quite tight inside, to the point where you wonder if it would be better used as a retreat for two instead of four: if the bunk bed was removed the living/dining area could be extended. As a very minor point, at least one of the pans was not compatible with the induction hob and a couple of extra sharp knives wouldn't go amiss. Overall though, a really pleasant and enjoyable stay!

We had a great stay at the Wolf Lodge, place was clean and location is brilliant. The kids loved the hot tub and we were very comfortable. You can tell when built Wolf Lodge was very very nice, but we felt it looked a bit like it needed some TLC. Only a few issues really, we didn't have enough soace to all eat together on the table, and the kids couldn't explore the woods directly opposite due to the INSANE amount of dog poo. Which wasn't nice to see. We would come again though!

We are a family of 3 and our daughter was 6 at the time of stay. We all loved the location, the lodge itself had a magical feel to it and the hot tub was a bonus! Surrounded by trees, friendly birds popped by the bird feeders while we chilled in the hot tub. It was ideally placed for a trip to Landmark adventure park, which was only a 20 minute walk away. We also took a short drive to Loch Morlich and Lochan Uaine as part of our trip. All in all a great place to stay, and had all the facilities we could possibly need

really lovely stay at Wolf Lodge, great location. We stayed for a week of cycling and its located next to lots of amazing cycle paths. the sauna and hot tub were great. We were three people and it would be a bit cramped for any more.

Had the most amazing time at Wolf Lodge, it was cosy! Spotless and eveything you could want. Everything you need in the kitchen, we cooked a lovely meal every night and enjoyed it infront of the fire. My labrador felt right at home too, lazy mornings with the fire on. Great location with just a short drive into Aviemore. Already been looking when we can book and come again!

The location of this lodge is excelent. The facilities other than the sauna and jacuzzi are poor considering the cost. Little details have not been thought of, no welcome pack, the axe for wood is blunt and instructions for oven which is faulty are not provided. The design of the lodge is fun but everthing feels like it needs a bit of tlc the decking seems to be rotten in places and the treads outside are loose. The tv is very small for a holiday let of this cost. The garden is great for dogs and kids and a decent size. The forest bank outside the property close to where you park is used as a dog toilet by neighbours and even some rubbish in the wooded area. This is not pleasent for a holiday cottage experience.

We know the area well and have stayed in a few different accommodations. This was a treat because of the hot tub and the sauna. For the price we paid, the lodge is tired. The settee is very soft and not the easiest to get up from (being of a certain age). The kitchen is very function-able except for seeing the controls on the cooker. It functions well for a couple, would be small for a family of 4.

We recently stayed at Wolf Lodge, seeking a peaceful retreat from the daily grind, and it mostly delivered on that promise. Here's our take: Pros: - Hot Tub and Sauna: The highlight of our stay was definitely the hot tub and sauna. It was the perfect way to unwind after exploring the area. The hot tub was always warm and inviting, offering a relaxing experience every time we dipped in. - Location: Nestled in a scenic spot, the lodge's location was ideal for those looking to connect with nature. The surrounding views were breathtaking, and it was conveniently close to hiking trails and local attractions. - Cleanliness: For the most part, the lodge was clean. The kitchen and bathroom facilities were spotless, which is crucial for a comfortable stay. Cons: - Furniture Condition: While the overall cleanliness was good, some of the furniture could use an update or a thorough cleaning. We noticed dust on several pieces, which somewhat detracted from the experience. - Drawers: A minor inconvenience but worth noting, some of the drawers in the lodge were broken or sticking, which made unpacking and storage a bit challenging. Overall Experience: Despite these minor hiccups, our stay at wolf Lodge was enjoyable. The rustic charm, combined with the excellent relaxation facilities, made it a memorable getaway. For those who prioritize comfort over perfection, this lodge offers a nice balance. We'd return for another visit, perhaps with a gentle reminder to the management about the furniture upkeep.

The lodge had everything we needed for our stay and all information was provided without needing to ask. The instructions for how to use the induction hob were missing (someone mentioned this in a previous review), which are important if you’ve never used one before so I had to spend a good 30 minutes on the internet trying to fathom it out! And maybe the instruction manual needs an overhaul as some of the equipment in the lodge has been updated so not everything in the manual is relevant. We enjoyed our time at Wolf Lodge, it was comfortable and clean - I would stay there again for sure!
