Aviemore, 7 miles, is known for its good walking as well as riding, watersports and many outdoor activities. Inverness is 24 miles away where you can visit castles, museums, or take a walk along the river banks. There is golf locally less than a mile away, a championship course in Aviemore and another championship course at Nairn, on the Moray Firth Coastline. Near to the property is a bowling green, bike park and children’s playground. Landmark, Scotland’s most exciting family Forest Adventure Park is 350 yards. Further south, in Kingussie, is the Highland Wildlife Park where wolves, Siberian tigers and a host of other animals can be seen. There are many historical houses and castles in the area to visit or follow the Whisky Trail to the numerous distilleries. Great hillwalking, bird watching, off road cycling, mountain biking, climbing and golfing can be also found in the region (storage is available for all outdoor sports equipment).
