A Touch of Paris - Gorgeous 3BR JUST RENOVATED Cottage in Heart of Atlanta

Atlanta, Georgia

This is a charming TUDOR cottage, with three bedrooms and two baths, on a quiet tree-lined street in the lovely area of Morningside. JUST RENOVATED WITH ALL NEW EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR PAINT and redecorated by well known interior designer with many of our French antiques and works of art, it's a stunner.

It's just minutes from Downtown, (World Congress Center, Apparel Mart and Aquarium) Midtown, Va HIghlands, Emory/CDC and Buckhead.

For the last twenty years, we have been privileged to be the owners of a similar company in Paris, France (Our Home in Paris), where we have many wonderful properties that are renovated and designed for the sophisticated business or vacationing client. We now have eight properties in and around Atanta, Georgia as well -- see all of our other listings please.

This home is modeled after our Parisian ventures, with wonderful polished rich dark brown oak wood floors, soft white linen curtains, mosaic tiled kitchen and fresh new Parisian white subway tiled bathrooms with granite counter tops.

The floor plan is perfect - enter first into a large screened in porch, a delightful spot for that early evening summer cocktail! Then the living room, flooded with light, and a handsome fireplace. The dining room overlooks the front lawn, and boasts an antique crystal chandelier. Turn to a butler's pantry, with an antique oak drop leaf table, perfect for coffee and a croissant in the morning. The kitchen is large, and counter tops are hand-made mosaic tiles. There is a master bedroom with its own en-suite bathroom, and then two other bedrooms sharing a large bathroom in between.

This home can easily accommodate SEVEN guests, two per bedroom and the front room has a very comfortable sofa bed for one more guest.

We offer a fusion of a comfortable private home, with all of the amenities of a five star hotel, including top notch housekeeping, plush linens, delicious French and British soaps and shampoos, fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, WI-FI, and flat screen HI DEF TV with all major cable channels, including CNN/BBC, and DVD player.

Also available: FRIDGE STOCKING SERVICE (small additional charges).

Our homes are spotless - we use the 'WHITE RIBBON' policy - that is, all linens, hypoallergenic blankets and robes are wrapped in a white ribbon that tells our guests: this item has been freshly laundered.

Who are the perfect clients for this home?

1 - Visiting professionals: lawyers, professors, physicians who need a comfortable, full equipped private home for a prolonged stay, and who will take advantage of this premium Morningside/Midtown location.

2 - Visitors and tourists who would appreciate an alternative to a hotel, with much more value, amenities and space.

3 - Guests traveling with friends or family (as many as SEVEN) who would rather all stay together in one cozy, private place.

We were in town on business, and found this home a welcome retreat after long, busy days. The house was exceptionally clean and the owners were super attentive. We avoided the hassle and stress of renting a car by using Lyft for this stay. The house is located in a nice, safe neighborhood, just 10 minutes to downtown. While there are lots of great restaurants nearby, we chose to eat in, and the concierge service made that easy by stocking the fridge for us. We'll be returning next year!

This is a very comfortable and well-appointed home. We had three couples sharing the space together and it worked out perfectly for us. It's in a quiet, pedestrian-friendly intown neighborhood that is close to all downtown Atlanta activities with several restaurants, etc within walking distance. The rental process was easy & seamless and Jim/Karl have been great to work with. We would highly recommend this property.

Five of us where in Atlanta for a conference and wanted the comfort of a home for the week instead of a hotel. We were not disappointed! This cottage is truly lovely with exceptionally comfortable beds, lovely furnishings throughout, and attention to detail and cleanliness. Our favorite place to hang out was the sun porch. The bonus of this home is the gorgeous neighborhood and close proximity to Piedmont Park. I went out for a run every day and loved the beauty of the homes in the neighborhood and the trails in the park. This house is also close to great restaurants and grocery options. It was such a fun neighborhood to explore and allowed us easy access to our conference. We also appreciated the short drive to enjoy the MLK National Historical Site and the Carter Presidential Library. Atlanta does not lack for things to do. This home is a gem!

It provided comfort, beauty, and respite during this exciting celebration. With all of its amenities, this home was the perfect space to create memories that we will cherish forever. Our youngest traveler now appreciates beautiful decor, art and angels in a new way.

Seven friends that celebrate when one turns 70 enjoyed this house. The Birthday Girl gets to choose the city and the house. I am definitely a hero with the six for finding this location to celebrate in Atlanta. The house is appointed with the best of linens, beautiful interesting art work, just wonderful furnishing. All the amenities of a five star hotel await your arrival. We enjoyed being so near to all the attractions anyone visiting would want to enjoy in the city. Everything is just minutes away. Parks, restaurants are within walking distance. The owners have thought of everything that visitors need. Two of our seven are Atlanta natives and we definitely highly recommend this home and neighborhood.

As a former resident of Atlanta, I am very familiar with the Morningside/Virginia Highlands neighborhood. It is by far, the most desirable, in-town neighborhood in Atlanta, and is close to ALL activities. The cottage was just perfect for me and my 2 children for our 3 week visit. The house was well furnished and comfortable and Jim was very accommodating. We will certainly stay in the cottage on our future visits!

I was the hero for finding this lovely home. Three adults and a teenager stayed here for a busy graduation weekend. It was a quiet respite for us in between social events and was a welcoming meeting place for other out of towners. The home is spotless, comfortable, well located with easy access to Midtown and Druid Hills where we spent most of our time. The hosts very were very attentive, making sure we had not lost electricity during a storm. The beds are comfortable, artwork is great and the neighborhood is fun. We would definitely return!

Who knew Atlanta could be so tranquil! A short stroll to Piedmont Park with the new access about 1/4 mile of the cottage. The variety of restaurants within walking distance kept all guests satisfied. Quick morning commute to Phillips Arena for meetings then back to the cottage for drinks on the sunporch. Spotless! Looking forward to our next stay.

Even though it was minutes to anyplace we needed to get to, it felt like we were at home. We stayed three nights and even as we were leaving we noticed some wonderful artwork we hadn't noticed before. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay.

Downtown was easily accessible...about 10-15 minutes by car. The house is very clean comfortable with all of the modern conveniences. We cooked dinner and found all of the basics at hand. Jim, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

My parents rented this house for two months to help my husband and I with our newborn baby girl. The setting was absolutely perfect, and I got to know the house quite well myself. The owners have thought of everything, making sure your stay is as comfortable as being in your own home including fully stocked linens, towels, paper products, kitchen, and even soaps for the bathrooms. It is located on a peaceful street right next to a popular neighborhood playground. And you barely need to use your car- Piedmont Park, coffee shops, grocery stores, neighborhood restaurants, and the gym are all within walking distance. This is also one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Atlanta, so you will be perfectly located. The owners are quick to respond, extremely organized, and care very much about the comfort of your stay. Highly recommend this rental!

My family and I stayed at Jim's house all summer while I worked in Atlanta for two months. The location is outstanding; extremely close to Midtown offices and the MARTA stop, but also is incredibly quiet and peaceful. My two young children adored the park immediately next to the house, though Piedmont Park (which has an entrance nearby that is only a five minute walk) came in close second. Overall we had a wonderful stay and will be back if I ever need to spend more time in the Atlanta office. Highly recommend!

We recently stayed at this wonderful property for my son's graduation weekend. Our need for three bedrooms for a four night stay prompted me to explore options other than the hotel we've enjoyed staying in for the last four years. This home met and exceeded our every expectation! It was cozy, beautifully furnished, well-appointed and we were made to feel like welcomed guests from the very beginning of our stay. My only regret is that we didnt discover this property sooner because we would have enjoyed spending time there throughout our son's college years. We hope to visit Jim's sister property in Paris someday

This home is located close to everything we needed while in Atlanta, it turned out to be perfect for our month away from home! Everyone associated with this home was very helpful and responded promptly to any needs we had. The neighborhood is safe for walking or jogging, close to shopping, and for our needs it close to Emory University and several metro hosptials and outpatient clinics. I would recommend this to anyone who needs an extended stay related to Emory University! Being able to stay in a fully furnished home with a full kitchen, washer & dryer, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was wonderful. The enclosed front porch was a beautiful way to spend the evenings. We were lucky that our time in Atlanta was the month of April - could not have been a more beautiful time of the year.

I stayed in this great home the first week in March 2012 while in Atlanta for a conference. I did not want to spend five days in a hotel room and was looking for a place with more space and comfort. I was looking for a one bed room but all that was available was this three bedroom cottage. It is a lovely, expertly remodeled, three bedroom home full of wonderful charm in an established neighborhood loaded with charm about a ten minute drive to Georgia World Convention Center on city streets, no freeway. The home is very comfortably furnished. The beds are all double and very comfortable. The linens are top scale!! In all an extremely satisfying experience!!

My wife and I recently stayed for three weeks in March at Cumberland Cottage. Jim, the owner, and Audey, the concierge, were so easy to work with and available if we had any questions. In a word, we LOVED staying there. We were visiting children and young grandchildren who live in the area, and when they came to 'our cottage' to visit, we all fit comfortably entertaining an extended family of eight. But at the same time, the three bedroom, two bath, first floor living was cozy, warmed by oriental rugs and elegant and comfortable furniture and beds. My wife's word for this lovely cottage would be charming, mine would be immaculate. Everything is provided from lightbulbs to a welcoming bottle of wine. We spent much of our time on the sunporch with the windows open to perfect spring days, looking out at flowering fruit trees, azaleas, and dogwoods. All the comforts of home and none of the responsibilities. A wonderful peaceful neighborhood, in suburban surroundings, but only minutes from stores and the bright lights of Atlanta. Try it-- You'll love it! We'll be back next year.

We loved the beautifully decorated rooms and all of the little touches (starbucks coffee, bottle of wine, robes) that made our stay truly wonderful! The location was perfect as well. My girls were thrilled with the playground area at the Piedmont Park and all of the Atlanta attractions we visited were a short drive. We also appreciated how courteous and prompt you and Audey were in helping us get our plans in order. A trip to Paris seems on our radar now that we know experts who can help us arrange that trip as well. Thanks again for all your assistance and warmth. Best regards, The Moorhead Family

Jim sees to every need that a visitor could want, from a carefully chosen complimentary bottle of wine to an on call concierge service whenever you need it. Excellent proximity to downtown, great shopping and fine dining. We travel extensively and would put this property (pricing, location, furnishings) at the top of any list. My husband, dear friends (a couple), and I spent new year's weekend/Chick-fil-A Bowl at the cottage. Its proximity to downtown, and other areas of Atlanta, as well, was perfect for us. It's also very close to Piedmont Park, which is lovely, as well as to numerous restaurants. The cottage is decorated in such a chic, clever, and tasteful manner. The layout worked perfectly for our needs. Also, it was extremely clean. Would I recommend this adorable cottage to others? Absolutely!!!

It was a magical weekend at the Cumberland Cottage in the Morningside section of Atlanta. We were in town for the wedding of my daughter's best friend from college and were perfectly situated for the ceremony in Buckhead and the reception in Druid Hills. The home is well-appointed with comfortable furniture and several of us practically lived in the front sunroom with its quarry-tiled floor, painted brick, and oversized mirror. Bed linens were exquisite. We had breakfast each morning in the beautiful dining room and felt as if we were guests in someone's home. This truly may become "our home in Atlanta"!

In Atlanta for our son's wedding, the Tudor Cottage became our 'home-away-from-home'..... instantly inviting, well appointed and elegant...... our home base for 3 nights/4days..... It gave three adults (me, my wife, and my father) easy access to all of our hectic activities in Midtown, Buckhead, Little-Five-Points, and Decatur... plus, a restful place to 'depressurize'..... Location-wise, it was a perfect rendezvous point. Like when our Atlanta family met at the cottage, then followed us to "The American Roadhouse" for brunch in the Virginia Highlands area..... And, after returning, Grandpa "hung back" at the cottage to leisurely enjoy the sun porch, while we scattered to run wedding errands around town..... Best of all, our car was parked outside the kitchen door (no navigating hotel hallways, lobbies, parking lots)..... The convenience of Monroe Drive and Piedmont Road led us in all the right directions to destinations throughout Atlanta. Actually, anything we needed, like groceries, coffee shops, eateries, etc.., was just minutes away..... Being in the Morningside neighborhood felt like we were 'living' in Atlanta rather than 'staying' in Atlanta. Which was (and is) important to us... more like residents than tourists..... We also had to be respectful of the neighborhood, and mindful of it's speed humps, joggers, bikers, dog-walkers, children, etc... and cautiously driving the narrow streets..... Directions given were good. For newcomers, however, I recommend using GPS to navigate Atlanta streets... signage is generally awful especially when driving the side streets at night..... The cottage however, is relatively easy to find. If you get disoriented, remember Monroe Drive at Piedmont..... By the way, if you ever wanted to taste life lived in Atlanta's famous Morningside, what better way to try the neighborhood 'on for size'. My early morning walks were like touring the pages of "Southern Living Magazine". Beautiful homes, quaint, tree-lined streets, etc..... We hope to be back in the Fall and stay here again.

I stayed here night before last and have already recommended this cottage to three friends. It's small town quiet and peaceful, feels private, but is in the heart of the big city. Immaculately clean. The beds are very comfortable. There's lot's of light. Furnishings are comfortable and inviting, elegant without being fussy. There are large enough rooms (even the kitchen) to gather people, but also intimate little corners. This was a great place to unwind. My first thought was that I'd come back and spend some time reading and writing, but I'd also like to bring my family for a holiday or weekend in the city. This is not a big screen TV, loud music, wild party kind of place. It would work well for a small group of friends or business associates. A short walk through a quiet neighborhood takes you to a variety of restaurants, bars, a shopping center and the gym. Just a little farther and you're in Piedmont Park and the Botanical Gardens. You'll want to come back - with others, with one special person, or maybe just by yourself.

It was truly lovely and the French furnishings were exceedingly tasteful (and not too fragile to cause undue fretting). Absolute perfect location to downtown in a wonderful neighborhood. The house was finely appointed and it almost felt like being at home. Not only was there plenty of room in this charming house, it also afforded us outdoor space for my 6 yr old grandson to play (learned to hula hoop -- which he mastered). The owner, Jim, was very charming and his associate Audie, was most helpful. We could not recommend this home enough. I just LOVE VRBO --such a delightful alternative to hotels -- and wonderful for being with family. You'll love this home.

We rented Jim's beautiful home in Downtown Atlanta for our wedding guests who flew out from London for the week. It was a wonderful experience, my friends had all the home comforts, they relaxed indoors and enjoyed going for morning runs around the peaceful neighbourhood. They were only 10 minutes drive away from centennial park, lenox mall and phipps plaza. Piedmont Park was literally around the corner as well as some great restaurants. Jim welcomed us warmly, the air con was already on when we arrived which was a great relief! The house was stocked with linens and even other essentials such as hand soap and tissues! The decor was luxurious and the house was spotless, a cleaner also came during our stay. During the wedding there was so much to do but I was completely worry-free when it came to my guests' accommodation and for that I am extremely grateful. I would highly recommend both the house and Jim who was a gentleman and made arrangements very easy, he was always at the other end of the telephone or an email if we needed to ask even the smallest question. Thank you!

I have just completed a 9-day stay at this charming property, which was conveniently situated for my purposes - near to theatre, shopping, restaurants, etc. The listing description, while accurate, does not, in my opinion, do justice to this gem of a property. The house was immaculate, spacious, obviously well-maintained, with so much character. I am an antiques enthusiast and found that the interior design of the house was amazing. Additionally, Jim and Audey were both most helpful in ensuring that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Any and all questions were answered quickly and, not being too familiar with the area, their suggestions for entertainment and meals were perfect. We patronised Franco's and Atmosphere and were not disappointed at all! I would most certainly and without hesitation recommend this property to my friends and relatives visiting Atlanta. My recent stay at this property was truly memorable.

Our visit to ATL was initially to check off one of the destinations on my mother n law's 'bucket list!' She knew we weren't staying in a hotel but trusted our accomodations would be nice. After we settled into this charming and immaculate bungalow, my mother n law declared the house was FABULOUS and thanked us profusely for making her visit to this city so special. Jim [co-owner] is warm and wonderful [I'm sure Audey is as well but did not actually meet him:] and everything in this meticulously restored home is so artfully and beautifully placed. The attention to details abound. Everything you need is within reach. I'm a big believer in authentic experiences and this is definitely one of them because it truly set the tone for our entire visit. Thank you Jim and if we should return we will definitely contact you!

Best Kept Secret- Cottage in Atlanta- Cumberland

My sister and I spent a month in this beautiful cottage. This little jewel is nestled among beautiful homes in a quiet, warm, friendly neighborhood. It also has easy access to wonderful restaurants and is very near to shopping of all kinds. The cottage itself is beautifully furnished and the attention to detail left us wanting for nothing. The management is the greatest: very friendly, very responsive to any questions or needs we may have. This is our third time staying in a ourhomeinatlanta property and again we are impressed with care and pride give to both the properties and the guests. We can't wait to return!

    Great Alternative to a Hotel!

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely Atlanta bungalow! We have stayed in one of the owner's Paris properties a couple of years ago and still talk about how wonderful it was! When we were dreaming about another trip to Paris and went to their website www.ourhomeinparis.com, we saw that they had just opened this property in Atlanta. We were planning a trip to see friends and decided to cancel our hotel reservations and stay here instead...we are so glad we did! The home is nestled among huge oak trees on a very quite street. Though the house is in a neighborhood close to everything you could want to do in the Atlanta, you feel like you are in the middle of a beautifully manicured forest! There are lovely views of gardens, greenery and so many different birds I am going to suggest that the owners provide a pair of binoculars to watch them...and this is just the description of the outside! Inside you will find a truly eurporean experience....gorgeous furnishings reminiscent of our stay in the apartment in Paris, luxurious carpets and beautiful artwork to stir the imagination. The beds and linens alone will bring you back! The beds are comfortable and beautifully appointed with crisp white, soft linens over down comforters and lots of pillows. The bathrooms are "to die for" with black and white tile, gorgeous fixtures, cushy towels, wonderful toiletires and plenty of light. The house was impecabbly clean and so welcoming. There is more than enough room for 6 people or a family to stay comfortably. It has such a warm inviting feel...wish I could find a house like this to live in! We enjoyed the front porch tremendously...It was so pleasant to sit outside and enjoy a cocktail with the sun setting and a breeze blowing the smell of fragrant flowering bushes through the screens. If you choose to eat in- everthing you need to prepare and serve a meal is there (grocery stores within walking distance)- but, don't forget there are so many wonderful restaurants in the surrounding neighborhoods, within a short drive or a nice walk to take advantage of. We recommend One Midtown Kitchen which is just down the hill and a little french restuarant called Atmosphere. We had a GPS in our car so getting anywhere- restaurants, Midtown, Downtown where the Aquarium and the Georgia Dome are was so easy and quick. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for an alternative to the same old hotel you've stayed in before. You won't be disappointed!

We gathered in Atlanta to celebrate my Dad's birthday. My sister and I originally booked hotel rooms then found this charming cottage. This is a Q tip clean house with lots of thought put into making the rental experience far superior to any hotel. Six adults and one child were easily accommodated. No parking problems even though we were in town for the Dogwood Festival. We will be back!
