Cute refurbished lake cottage with view of Lake Ellen. Quiet neighborhood to relax and unwind. Enjoy sitting and enjoying the view of Lake Ellen or jump in the kayaks (free for guests to use) and go kayaking or fishing. Full kitchen and relaxing light filled cottage to help you get away from it all. Wifi is included. A great place to spend the winter months for those who want to get away from winter weather. No shoveling snow! Just a note-there is no tv.
Quiet hours begin at 10 pm. This is a quiet neighborhood. Please be considerate! Swing, firepit and dock on the beach are private and not for renters.
Wonderful place but could not let couch out since that is where the TV was to be able to get comfortable.
Such a great place and awesome experience from start to finish. Gorgeous little place to just get away from the world.
Ruby cottage was a quaint and nostalgic getaway. Lake view and lake access are an added bonus. Relaxing, quiet and charming setting. The Crawfordville area is short driving distance from great beaches, historic places and great food and hospitality.
This was a perfect little cottage for a weekend trip to visit family. We enjoyed the quiet.
Wished it had a tv.
This cottage was so clean and neat. It really made the trip an amazing experience. Drove 14 hours to come there and staying here really made the trip worth it! Really close to a few beaches also. Definitely would stay here again
Nice place clean could use a few more lamps and a light over the kitchen sink. House is on dirt road. Neighbor are nice.
I really enjoyed our stay, it was really wonderful. The place was decorated very nicely, clean and very peaceful. I would definitely stay again. Thank you!
Property was exceptionally clean. Set in a VERY quiet small neighborhood with access to the lake. The bed is as quite comfortable and everything you might need was provided. A bit of an odd arrangement as the kitchen and bedroom are one and the same but it works !! Once you read the helpful book on the cottage you will understand why, and it just adds to the unique charm of this property. This cottage was perfect for our stay in the area as we are avid birders and wanted to spend most of our time at St. Marks NRA . We had a wonderful time and ended up with 100 different species total for our 4 days at St. Marks. The recommendations provided for restaurants were great. We enjoyed meals at Posey’s up the Creek and The Seineyard Rock Landing, both in Panacea, just up the road and we thoroughly enjoyed our take out Pizza from Myra Jeans in Crawfordville. We loved the electric fireplace for a little ambiance ( and warmth, it gives out great heat) It was nice to relax with a glass of wine, some nice music and the fireplace, while looking at our bird pictures from the day. No TV so bring you a great book to read. If your looking for a stay at the Ritz Carlton, this is not it, but if you are looking for a place to relax and unwind, away from the stresses of the world, you’ve come to the right place.
The cabin is well maintained and near St. Marks, which was our primary target for the trip. Being able to access a kitchen and control what and how much you eat is a big plus, so we are always looking for places that offer such amenities. Hostess was very responsive to everything we asked and pointed us to good local seafood places. Overall, very good stay.
Beautiful peaceful property and accurate description. I would return. P
My husband and I spent 10 days at the cottage! It was such a special place. The neighborhood is very quiet. As soon as you pull in you feel as though you can escape the craziness of the outside world. The decor is great. The bed was very comfortable. Everything is supplied to cook. From the house you are steps from relaxing on the beautiful lake! The owner is very responsive if anything is needed! We will be back!!
Quaint, quiet, and relaxing. The property was perfect, everything was in perfect order, very homey. I have stayed at several places thru VRBO, this one being the most guest-friendly. Everything you could possibly think of was provided. Please take a moment to read the contents of the folder prepared by the owner and it should answer any questions you have. The entrance to the property was a little tricky to navigate and may be difficult for larger vehicles or anyone pulling a trailer, boat, etc. Would highly recommend and will stay again if in the area.
It was very quite. Great for a quick get away to refresh and re-center
The process was so easy and smooth. Definitely booking here next time we come to the area.
This place was exactly what I needed. I was looking for something quiet and secluded. Over the course of four days, I saw maybe five people and heard next to nothing from anyone. The house was great and Anne's responses were quick and insightful. Aside from some VRBO issues - which had nothing to do with Anne - everything was great. I am booking for my birthday trip later in the year.
My partner and I stayed here over July 4th weekend, not only did Anne make accommodations to let us stay when she just came back into town, but the cabin was more than we expected. Super quiet and CLEAN spot for a romantic weekend during this pandemic. Neighbors were super friendly! While there were Kayaks provided, we were offered the paddle boat and it was such a fun ride around the lake. We caught some awesome fireworks over the lake, and all in all it was just the perfect place for the perfect weekend. If you’re on the fence about booking here, do it. Best place to stay near Wakulla Springs!
Perfect small get away. Worked great to get away from the madness. There’s not a grille for steaks, so take your own. Other than that.... it’s a charming little cabin, with everything you’d need.
