Nice place. Comfortable. Cozy. A little hard to get upstairs, particularly with a pup but beautiful up there. Nice yard. Convenient farm stand. Complicated TV. Wish we had the code to get in earlier. We were nervous when we got there that we didn't have the code. Owner very responsive though.
Loves the coziness and the backyard, the place is very cute and well equipped, we loved the nearby farm.
This was a lovely place to stay. I loved the log cabin atmosphere. Everything was clean and the beds were comfy. The only downsides were the stairs to the loft are really tricky (glad my kids are tweens) and it was quite a distance to downtown Great Barrington. We loved it anyway.
Great little get away convenient for exploring the Berkshire’s.
Our family very much enjoyed our stay at this property. We had no trouble accessing the cabin and found everything neat and clean. The location is very convenient to nearby attractions, and we were able to visit Ski Butternut as well as nearby sledding and ice skating. In between, we warmed up by the fire. Our kids loved the upstairs area, which is very spacious. The only warning I would give is that the staircase takes some dexterity and would pose an issue for very young kids or those with mobility issues. Thanks!
We had a wonderful time staying at the cabin for two nights for my husband’s birthday. It was romantic and cozy. It felt remote when we were there by the fire while simultaneously being convenient to town and there was a market at the corner with everything we needed. The owner was delightful. We’d definitely stay there again.
Cozy log cabin right outside of town. Very nice place and ambiance.
Very nice place for vacation
We had a lovely, cozy stay! We had fires at night and went hiking during the day. We also checked out some local antique stores and some restaurants downtown for takeout. Highly recommend hiking Monument Mountain which is just down the street!
The cabin was just what we had imagined for our fall weekend in the Berkshires. Everything was perfectly decorated and the house had some kid toys and books that my four year old loved. The windy steps up can be a bit tricky but we felt they added more character to the place. The only thing I had wished were that the beds were fully made. Perhaps due to Covid restrictions l, the clean bedding was in a pile on each bed but when you just want to relax, the last thing you want to do is make a bed. But that was very minor. We loved hearing the roosters from the farm next door and took a walk to Tufts Farm at the end of the street. Their pies really are amazing! We were happy with all of the restaurants we visited but recommend you make reservations in advance. Monument Mountain was great to hike and we made the 45 minute drive to Jiminy Peak's Adventure Park. So much fun! Truly a great stay. Will definitely come back again.
The Kenyon cabin was such a wonderful place to stay after our wedding.
Loved the cabin , the location was great easy to get to everything . The hiking was excellent , monument mountain is a must if you like to hike. The cabin was equipped with all the amenities super clean felt very comfortable . We would Love to go back again .
My sister and I had a wonderful time at Lori’s cabin. We loved all the decorations throughout the house which gave it a warm and cozy feeling. We enjoyed sitting outside in the backyard watching rabbits play in the grass and the statue of the bear gave it a nice touch. We hope to return again in the Spring!
My roommate and I greatly enjoyed our month away from the city in quarantine at this cabin. It was the perfect location and you didn't have to worry at all about social distancing from any neighbors. 4 stars because the cabin had a fair amount of spider webs and was a bit dark for a place to be during the summer (which is probably to be expected for a log cabin, but didn't look so in the photos), but was great for the price for a full month. Lorie was extremely communicative which was also great.
We spent time skiing at the local mountains and had a wonderful time. The Berkshires are a fantastic place to spend time with friends and family.
The house was very clean and cozy.
Very cosy with room for all, we enjoyed our stay. Great location close to Butternut and Great Barrington .
Beautiful cozy cabin! Easy enjoyable stay! Loved bird watching and cuddling by the fire!
We had a great visit. 5 of us friends (moms) decided to have a quick night off to just relax and enjoy a little peace. The space was amazing, clean and had the all around log cabin feel.
The property was adorable. Close to everything. Peaceful. Clean. Charming. Definitely a nice place to stay for an extended stay. The downside was the couch was too small to cozy up together. Very uncomfortable.Could not take a hot shower but we should have contacted the host. We just didn’t want to get caught up in the mechanics. Overall it was a very nice place. It had very loving energy inside. It’s perfect for all seasons!
Perfect spot for our ski weekends in Berkshires. Close to butternut and Catamount mountains. Perfect space for our family of four.
Lorie is very kind and the place is very cozy indeed :)
We had a terrific vacation in the Berkshires, made better by our stay at this wonderful little house. An adorable log cabin, beautiful and rustic, inside and out. Laurie made our stay there one we will remember fondly. Well appointed and furnished, beautiful open floor plan. We hoped for a “charming little cabin” in the Berkshires, and we were not dissapointed. Great location. Close to downtown Great Barrington, Tanglewood, and excellent hiking trails close by (Monument Mountain is 3 minutes away). The Guthrie Center...that neat little church from Arlo Guthrie’s “Alice’s Restaurant” is right down street.(check it out). Our thanks to Laurie for making our summer in the Berkshires so special.
We had our office retreat here and the log cabin was cute, cozy and clean. It was also super convenient and easy to find, which was a huge plus because we had different people arriving at different times. The grounds were well kept and we even saw fireflies at night (look for them). We would use again and recommend to others.
This place was soooo lovely! Our group of six thought it was a perfect place to stay and Lorie was a lovely host. It was also a great location, near both Caramount and Butternut mountains. I highly recommend this place! We will definitely go back!
Everything we read about the cabin was as stated. We came for a ladies weekend to celebrate a 50 birthday, and had a great time. Lorie was great to work with and answered all our questions right away. The cabin was a perfect setting to hang out and relax. The spiral stairs to get up are tricky, but manageable. Would definitely seek out this property again if the need were to arise. Great memories were made here this weekend. Thank you, Lorie.
This is a great little log cabin perfectly located about 5-10 min away from the slopes and great little restaurants. There is a nice backyard area where our dogs were able to run and play. We really enjoyed the warm vibe, the fireplace and the sweet notes that were left for us. My one remark is that its listed to sleep 10 people and as a group of 10 it was very tight. We ended up bringing two air mattresses and using the pull out sofa bed. Comfortably this can fit 6-8 people. Even though it was very tight with 10 adults, we had a blast (even with one bathroom) and really enjoyed our time spent in the Cozy Log Home! Very grateful for a lovely weekend.
We came up for a post Christmas getaway and had an unbeliavble time. Thank you so much :)
Wonderful house! Really lovely and a great location!
There was 6 of us that stayed for a day at this beautiful home. Lorie was excellent and responded instantly to all of my questions. I would recommend staying here to anyone who loves the quiet country setting. Everything was very clean and the house had everything we needed as far as blankets, pillows, utensils, firewood etc. Thank you so much and we will be back again!
This little gem is so cute and original. With the spiral wooden staircase leading to the second floor and the true Berkshire feel. It is easy to get to and is also tucked away for enough privacy at the same time. There is a cute market down the street with sandwiches, jellies, pies and anything you can think of from local farms and stores in the Berkshires. The owners of this place were fabulous! I would absolutely stay again! Thank you !!!!!
Perfect spot for us, very clean and a fun place to stay. We would definitely stay there again, has all the amenities of home.
Lorie is great to work with. Great location.
A terrific, convenient location. Cabin is neat as a pin and well appointed! We had a wonderful experience but the stairs are something to think about--
7 friends and I stayed at the cabin for a birthday party, and everyone was blown away by how beautiful this place is! Great kitchen for preparing breakfast, comfy beds, and Lorie is super easy to deal with. 5 stars!
Only exception to an enjoyable stay were the lightning- cabin is very dark and the lack of photos to reveal the narrow staircase - in consideration for older individuals or those who may be handicapped .
We came to this cabin looking specifically for a place to enjoy all the theatre, music, dance and dining the area offers while still being able to bring our two small dogs. To that end, this is a great place to stay. Everything in the cabin feels new, the kitchen, the furniture, the a/c (which we really needed). There are a couple of caveats to note. In the cabin itself, there is a small bedroom/office on the ground floor. And though the only closets are on the second floor, we found that we could only use the downstairs area because indoor access to the upstairs is via very steep spiral stairs that kind of float upwards with no handrails. Staying up there would have made late night access to the downstairs (i.e. The Bathroom) too scary for us. A young family with kids would've found the challenge to be fun, I'm sure. Also, the property, although nice and private, is on a very busy road. Though we could've driven elsewhere to walk the dogs, I made small walks on the road with them and questioned how safe that idea was. Still in all, I would recommend staying here as it is a charming cabin with easy access to all the Berkshire attractions.
My friends and I had a terrific visit at this property! We loved the cabin's ambiance, the cute pond in the backyard and the tire swing. There was plenty of room for our five person group, and it was great that the cabin was equipped with kitchen appliances, towels and sheets. The location was perfectly nestled between several towns in the Berkshires, being particularly close to Great Barrington, making our destinations easily accessible! We would all definitely recommend :)
Lovely property. Well equipped home. Accurately described. Would likely return again.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It is very much a log cabin feel and the pictures are an accurate representation of the house. It is very cozy. As the listing states it has been recently remodeled and the kitchen and bath are new and nice. I found everything I needed in the kitchen to cook breakfast everyday and eat in pick up meals several nights. The property is close to the road which is rather busy and well used so there is some street noise during early morning rush hour travel which was not a problem but something I didn't anticipate from the photos. There is a farm next door which has a few horses and is very picturesque. We brought our two small dogs and the photos do not show the stairwell which is really neat but also a bit harrowing. It is clearly original to the house and is a few logs ascending upwards in a spiral but with no hand rail or risers so the dogs had to be carefully carrying upstairs where we slept. There is the option of using the outside stairs that go to a deck off the second floor and through a sliding glass door which is another option. Again this wasn't really a big problem or even a negative but it is not shown in the photos and is something to be aware of. Definitely not for the mobility challenged however. Overall we were very pleased with the house and it was accurately represented by the listing. Relaxing, comfortable, clean, safe, cozy. Nice location, out of town enough to be a rural setting but just a short few minute drive to Great Barrington. We would definitely return.
Absolutely perfect! Everything we would have needed for our Father's Day weekend was at Lorie's adorable cabin. Great location near downtown Grear Barrington, the Norman Rockwell Museum and our two visits to Tanglewood. Hope to return soon! Thank you Lorie!
We stayed at this wonderful home. Everything was great and we had an amazing time. loved the fireplace and the cozy feel. This home is so close to everything. We will definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful overnight at this cabin. It was extremely clean and ready for our arrival! We made use of the fireplace (they stocked the house with firewood for us), and loved the flannel sheets on the bed. It was negative temps outside but you wouldn't know it inside. It was the cabin getaway we were looking for. Lorie responded promptly to my emails and answered all my questions. The listing was accurately described. Would recommend to friends and family!
Our stay at the cabin was ideal. Everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and relaxing was provided. The sun filled kitchen is well supplied for preparing simple meals and the dining area faces the pond in the back yard where the bird watching is awesome. We even spotted a ring neck pheasant doing a crazy dance one morning there. Every view from inside the cabin is special. We enjoyed watching the horses next door especially in the mornings. From sunrise to moonrise you can see it all from the cabin. Great grocery shopping is just up the road on the corner at the Taft Market, they had everything we needed. We really appreciated that the cabin was so clean and well equipped. There was plenty of firewood for the huge fireplace we enjoyed so much. Truly a carefree holiday in the Berkshires so much so that we are already planning for next Thanksgiving and maybe even early spring in the wonderful Kenyons cabin. Thank you Lorie for creating such a delightful and relaxing home away from home.
We Loved Kenyons cabin. It was rustic and charming and so clean. Perfect for our girls weekend! The open first floor had many great gathering areas.
Cabin was perfect for 2 -3 adults and 2 children. Very clean, cozy, well appointed and updated! We skied Butternut for 4 days with kids, about 5 minutes away. Great memory for everyone. Thanks
Lorie, Thanks for sharing your home with us! We had a great time at the cabin, and loved the openess of the main floor! It allowed for some fun times eating and visiting with our family. The location is very convienent, but the cabin and property are private to enjoy! Happy New Year and look forward to a revisit!
This quiet little cabin is an excellent place to stay; off the main roads, but still near so many of the happening events the Berkshires has to offer.
clean quiet and quaint getaway! convenient location.privacy in backyard, peaceful
Arriving to the cabin was a joy, the area in Great Barrington is just so beautiful. The cabin has a gorgeous yard to cook out and relax in - not to mention the atheistically pleasing house! It was so rustic and such a warm, inviting atmosphere. It is fully finished and was very clean. It was such a pleasure to have stayed. I recommend it to others!
When we found out that almost every hotel in the Berkshires was sold out we turned to VRBO. We came across this charming cabin and were lucky it was available. The owner was wonderful to deal with. She was easily reachable and couldn't be more accommodating! We had a great stay!! Highly recommended....
