Our chic and sprawling mountain getaway is located 10,500 feet in the sky. Located in the popular St. Mary’s sub-division, we are 2 miles from the St. Mary’s Glacier trailhead. Decompress in our sauna or relax in our NEW premium hot-tub after a long day outdoors. Not going out? Cozy-up and cook with a fully stocked kitchen or our outdoor grill while enjoying the peace, quiet, and scenic views from our home. We are the perfect launch point for outdoor enthusiasts! We are 30 minutes from the closest ski resort (Loveland Pass) and only an hour and 15 minutes from Vail! Go white water rafting, zip-lining or fly-fishing in the Clear Creek River as close as 20 minutes from our home. If it's a little city flavor you desire, Denver is only 50 minutes away or Downtown Idaho Springs within 20 minutes. Enjoy the solitude of the mountains with the convenience of activities & destinations.

The Space:
Our vacation retreat boasts three bedrooms and two spacious full bathrooms. Upon arrival you will walk into our cozy living room with sauna. After using the sauna, stop-outside to our deck with hot tub for a real vacation retreat. On this level you will also find our first bedroom and bath. Head upstairs to our main level that has incredible views of the mountains. Sprawl out on the sofa, cook some food, dine with family and friends or sit outside to enjoy all mountain life has to offer. Our second bedroom and bathroom can be found on this level. Our third bedroom is lofted above the main level. Thanks to our well-designed floor plan, you can enjoy time with friends and family while still finding the space you need for some privacy.

Our 6 seat, 45-jet Hercules hot tub is conveniently located on the first level (and same level as the sauna). Our top-of-the-line hot tub sits beneath our upstairs deck, which is wonderful for those snowy nights. Receive the ultimate massage while the UV disinfection technology of our hot tub protects you from germs and bacteria. On the main level you can find additional outdoor space with plenty of seating and a grill on which to cook your favorite meals on. This level is great for taking in the one-of-a-kind views our home offers.

We are located 10,500 feet above sea level. Located off of I-70, we are a 20-minute drive up the mountain with the last 0.50 miles of the drive being a gravel road. We recommend AWD or 4WD during snowy season. We find the drive relatively easy for the elevation. HOWEVER, this is subjective to each individual's experience with the climate and natural elements. Our driveway is steep and because of this, we do recommend 4WD. We do have street level parking if you’re not comfortable with the driveway but you will need the proper hiking boots or snow shoes with good grip to walk up. We do provide snow removal in the winter months and do our very best to maintain it but with unpredictable high winds throughout the year, snow drifts are common. We cannot guarantee the driveway will be completely cleared prior to your arrival. Please come prepared. This means hiking shoes or snow boots with good footing. We do provide snow shovels for guests to use for light snow or in-between snow plows. Many guests love and enjoy this experience, but if you are not the adventurous type or do not have experience in these elements this might not be the rental for you. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns before booking.

Guest Access:
Our entire home is available to guests. Self-checkin instructions will be sent 48 hours before your stay.

Getting Around:
We highly recommend a 4WD or AWD drive vehicle in snowy season. We feel the drive is relatively easy given the elevation but is relative to your experience with high elevation and mountain roads. Send us a message if you have any questions or concerns.

Other Things to Note:
If it snows during your stay guests may need to shovel the deck to clear a path. The steps to access the rental are steep and can be slick at times. Please use the snow salt. If roads are open and you can't make it to the rental no refunds will be issued.

Two cars only per reservation. The driveway is steep but there is a flat grade closest to the house that will comfortably fit at least one car. Guests can park on designated spots on the street as well.

Use of either fireplace is not permitted.

There are no parties or events allowed at the rental.
Maximum occupancy is 8 guests.
If house rules are broken we reserve the right to withhold your security deposit and/or cancel your reservation.

Guest understands that no special efforts have been made to “childproof” this house and accepts the risk or harm to any children/infants we allow on the property.

Due to the popular nature of our rental, WE CANNOT ACCOMMODATE EARLY CHECK-INS AND LATE CHECK-OUTS. We need this small window of time in-between guests to prepare for your stay.

    Good location not too far from Idaho Springs but high enough for great views of Mt Evans etc . Nice view from the outside tub too and the temp was good but the water was a little green . The kitchen was well equipped . Was very glad to find a coffee press. Nice size deck for four. The grill was fine . We liked the solar array loved the weather and the fabulous water . The beds were nice and it was quiet . Hot water and nice downstairs shower . Great downstairs seating area and bedroom like a suite . Lots of No Parking signs on the public road below . Neighbors have a plethora of campers trucks and plows parked below the house clogging the mountain scene . I received way too many emails and texts about staying out of the neighbors way and don't ask them for anything . Geeze ! We travel a lot and Geeze again !! They have a compound of like 8 vehicles scattered . The house is basically in the wilderness but then there's the neighbors 200' over and below . The lot seems very small and barely room for a treacherous driveway . Our 4x4 Denali scaled it with ease . The bathtub is slick as butter . The greatroom couch was very poor so we didn't use . In essence we were very pleased . We come from the City and desired isolation so the only drawback being the neighbor thing .

    My family enjoyed staying at this prime location for hiking and views! Be sure you have 4x4 wheel drive to get up the driveway
