Bidwell Park is Chico’s jewel! With the park as your backyard, you will be immediately transferred to another world as you step into it. With huge sycamore and oak trees surrounding you to the year round creek full of swimming holes, you feel free and away from it all. You will see why The adventures of Robin Hood (1938)used Bidwell Park to film its Sherwood Forest scenes and General John Bidwell decided to make the region home.
We offer an amazing location on Bidwell Park with 2 complimentary beach cruisers that gives you quick access to Downtown Chico (6 minutes), One Mile Pool (3 minutes), the Chico Mall (5 minutes), 5 Mile Pool ( 7 minutes), and Upper Park (15 minutes) . City bus stop only 50 yards from house. Access to dozens of walking paths in lower Bidwell Park.
This was our first trip to Chico. What a great location and comfortable get away. We hope to stay again on our next trip. Thank you!
Overall a cute place really well positioned for access to Bidwell park, which is super good if you have a dog as we did. It was clean and ready earlier than expected. The pictures may need to be updated to better reflect what is available: we didn’t bring our Bluetooth speaker because it showed one, but it was not there, and we assumed when seeing the coffee container that coffee was going to be supplied, but it was not. Careful in the shower as the handle gives you very hot or very cold (maybe replace it?), and maybe check the batteries in the remote more frequently. Little issues, but they can add up. Got the wrong text information for the wrong place (they have two), but it got resolved after a few more texts. Still, we do recommend this place with the few caveats mentioned.
We were in town for my grandma's 90th birthday. This was a nice cozy place to lay our heads for a few nights. If you don't like the hassle of a hotel, this was easy and secluded. Very quiet.
It took a little bit to get used to how to drive to the property. Kind of confusing but once I figured it out it was very convenient. Access to Bidwell Park is super fabulous. We loaded our bicycles and drove them all the way to Chico. We did not find out they had bicycles to loan us until The day we were to check in.
Perfect spot to stay and spend time with our daughter, hiked in park daily, walked to coffee and breakfast houses. Unit is super efficient and modern, hosts very tolerant of our dogs, much appreciated!
Easy check-in, clean and modern. Close to bike trail has it’s advantages for adventurous guests, on the downside a lot of foot traffic and bikes. Kitchen had all the necessities. Sofa and bed were comfy! Enjoyed our stay in Chico.
Super cute place right near bike trail. Went to farmers market on the beach cruisers, which was a blast! Overall, great spot and the mimosa tree had tons of butterflies and birds, making outdoor coffee session super entertaining!
Love the proximity to Bidwell Park, and easy access to the town.
Lovely, private, clean location with everything we needed. Next time we will stay longer and enjoy the bikes and the park.
Great place for 1 person or a couple. Very clean, with a remodeled kitchen. Enjoyed my time here very much. Thanks Paul and Britt!
