Stayed Jul 16, 2023This was a nice property. If you know what you’re getting (and that’s ok) then this might be perfect. It was fine for us, but I don’t think we’d return. This unit is a suite with a kitchen in a very, very large property. The unit itself was clean, but the stairwell and elevator areas were used often had trash littered around them. I assumed that it would be like other Marriott resorts, and have multiple restaurants and beautiful grounds to walk on. It only has one restaurant at the pool, but it does have a well-stocked little grocery store and Starbucks. You should be prepared to either bring your own food and cook in the kitchen, which is a decent size, order in or go out. Additionally, the resort, if that’s what you call it, was very very full. The pools were crowded with children and adults, and lots of noise. The grounds were pretty and well-maintained, but we’re mostly just roads between the various complexes. The beach is about a 15 minute walk mostly along a highway. The check in process was long and tedious. The hosts were friendly and professional but seemed to know little about the area or the resort and referred me to hotel staff to get answers to questions. Again, this could be a perfect spot for you and your family, but for me, it was far less personal than other VRBO’s I’ve stayed at. And unfortunately, far less inclusive than other resorts.

Stayed Mar 24, 2023This resort is top notch and the owner did a great job sharing our requests for a quiet unit with a view. We had a beautiful unit, walking distance to the pools, view of the ocean and tucked away from the noise for our special needs daughter. The staff was wonderful and the unit was stocked well for eating in. We will definitely be coming back! Thanks for a great getaway!

Stayed Jul 12, 2022The Marriott resort was beautiful and the location was in between Newport and Laguna Beaches. The closest beach is Crystal Cove but we did not go there. Wish we had though. The condo had everything we needed and Trader Joe’s was close for groceries. The pools were beautiful and hot tubs are full. Just wait a couple minutes and there will be room. We did not partake in other activities on the resort. We wanted to play pickleball but all courts were booked from 7 AM-10 PM. I recommend they only allow reservations 24 hours before. If you want to reserve courts it can be done several weeks in advance. The only low rating I gave was because of owner communication. I messaged asking if we could come a day early and the over said we could have the day but would need to give up our reservation and book the following week. That made no sense to go the 11th and then come back for the 16th-23rd. Our original reservation was for the 12-17th. When we arrived, the resort showed us checking in on the 10th, so we could have stayed the 11th. Instead we staying in a hotel. A final recommendation, make dinner reservations at least a week in advance. Also don’t got to Newport on Saturday. It’s very busy. Stay at the resort and relax.
