Waterfront, Spectacular Sunset Views, Beautiful Updated Cottage!

We could not have asked for a better stay at this beautiful cottage. The accommodations, the cleanliness, the hospitality, the spectacular beach front views, the pumpkin carving (yes!), and everything listed above was also so incredibly family friendly. Ryan, his family, and everything about this property was absolutely wonderful. We would definitely book again!

We loved everything about our stay! The home was very clean and had everything we needed. The yard and lake views were amazing! Everything was extremely well maintained. We could not have hoped for a better home to stay. We were there for an extended anniversary weekend. Everything was perfection. Would highly recommend the home!

This was one of our most memorable mini vacations. The house was perfect. The sunsets were beautiful, fire pit roasted both hot dogs and s’mores. A perfect base location to explore Door County. The hosts were wonderful.

We had a nice time and the hosts were very accommodating and friendly. The cleanliness was amazing - cleanest VRBO we have ever stayed at! Appreciated the many extra touches - having travel sized shampoo and conditioner available, plenty of helpful things in the kitchen, the welcome basket. They have put a lot of effort into making guests feel comfortable. The only drawback was the weather - it was too windy and choppy on the lake for us to kayak, swim, have a fire or fish for all but part of one day of our visit. Nothing the hosts can do about the weather but be prepared that staying on Lake Michigan is very different than interior lakes (I know - duh). The shoreline is completely rocky so we weren’t able to walk along it at all. This is no reflection on the hosts - Ryan even got a kayak all set for us to take into town if we decided to find a calmer beach, and gave us tips on locations! It’s a beautiful property and great hosts.

We had a wonderful stay! House was very nice - clean, updated, spacious. Well equipped with everything we needed for our family including crib/high chair for our baby. Outdoor space was beautiful - kids had a blast swimming in the lake and fishing off the dock. Fun lawn games to play. Great lakeside firepit. Hosts were very accommodating and friendly - setup swimming mats and water trampoline for the kids which made water play more fun!! Easy drive to everything we wanted to do at the various towns in door county. Great stay!

We absolutely loved the cottage and location. Couldn’t have asked for a better family vacation. It was perfect for our family of 4. The kids loved the water toys and fishing off the dock, and playing games in the screened in porch at night.

Our family had a wonderful time relaxing and reconnecting during our stay. As a couple with a 3 adult children, this cottage was the perfect layout for us to spend time together, as well as provided ample the space to escape to enjoy quiet time to ourselves. The house was nicely updated/decorated, and very clean. The property is beautifully landscaped and maintained. We would definitely recommend and will keep this on our list for future get-aways. We had an amazing stay at Sunset Bay Cottage. This home was perfect… cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. Watching the sunsets over the Bay each evening was absolutely breathtaking and the perfect way to end our days. We felt right at home and made great family memories! Thanks for a perfect vacation!

We were taking a girls trip to the Door, and wanted a house on the bay for the beautiful sunsets. This house was perfect! 3 bedrooms and 2-1/2 baths with comfy places to relax in the living room, and a fantastic sun porch. Even though it was brisk in the mornings, we enjoyed turning on the overhead heater on the porch and drinking our morning coffee while we watched the waves. Ryan and Beth were the most gracious hosts, and even joined us for sunset by the bay one evening. The welcome basket was such a special touch, too. We would love to come back again some day!!

The house was absolutely amazing. Very clean and they literally thought of everything when it came to making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.
