The Cottage on Lake Michigan –- huge sand beach, wooded lot, family friendly

This was our 2nd stay and we love this place for it's privacy and quiet setting. However, we were not informed that there was a house being built next door. Power tools, banging, heavy metal music and a crew of 5 showed up every day from 7:00am - 4:30pm. We reached out to the owner to comment and never heard a word back. Sadly disappointing.

Amazing Beach! Lovely Cabin! We loved the old family cabin vibe with comfy furnishings and homey decorations throughout the place. Too many properties like this with charm and soul that take years to grow have been torn down and overbuilt. It was nice to see the commitment to keep this one going. The updated kitchen and bathroom just added to the level of comfort. We appreciated the excellent, clear communication about our arrival, stay and departure. Didn’t want to leave! Would highly recommend.

This was our 7th year returning to the cottage and it was wonderful as always! The cottage was spotless and well-stocked, the beach and lake were beautiful and our family had a relaxing week. We were especially thankful for Susan's proactive communication with us on the day of our check-in as there were huge storms in the area the night before. She made sure that the cabin had power and water and that the roads to get there were passable before we had even left for Door County. Thanks for another great year!

The beach was awesome! Retro cabin right out of On Golden Pond. We wanted quiet solitude and got it !I can still hear the waves rolling in. Great vacation !

This was our family's ninth summer staying at the cottage. As always, it was a wonderful experience. My kids love the cozy, homey cottage, and they equally enjoy playing on the beach and in the water. This trip has become part of our family's summer, and we all look forward to it every year -- we're already looking forward to going back next year!

The property was as described and pictured! Beautiful beach and it was very quiet. The beach is amazing and the property was perfect for myself, wife and 5 year old grand daughter.

We had a wonderful stay at Susan’s cabin on the lake. All the vintage charm with nice updates for comfort. Our weather was on the cool side - expected in June - but we still enjoyed the gorgeous beach and crashing waves. The beds are comfortable and everything was considered and communicated clearly. We hope to visit again in the future. Thanks for sharing this very special place!

We loved our stay in this cozy cabin! Beautiful views along the sandy shoreline with picturesque sunrises. The 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin is comfortable plus we enjoyed the quiet side of Door County.

We love staying at the cottage. For eleven years, we have returned to stay with our family. Our kids love to revisit their summer memories and discover new fun as they grow older. We are delighted to spend our time on the beach and swimming in the lake when the weather is good and love to explore all the richness of Door County culture when the weather is less good. The cottage is our anchor for our stay each year, and it never disappoints.
