One of the best rentals we've stayed at on the island. Having designated parking spot makes leaving the island stress-free, although street parking was plentiful. Overall a super comfortable place that was clean and was stocked with everything you need.

Cozy Mariners cottage, well equipped kitchen, gas fireplace, tastefully furnished -1/2 block from Ocean in quiet neighborhood & 6 blocks from Balboa Island shops & restaurants! Fire Pit & Jacuzzi on private enclosed patio. Off street Parking provided as well. Property Manager is super accommodating helpful.

Absolutely loved and enjoyed our short getaway at Newport Island. I highly recommend and will definitely plan second stay. Chase, property management was exceptional in all aspects during our visit. This cottage is just perfect. It’s spacious, tastefully decorated, and wonderfully stocked. The directions were detailed and precise. The host was incredibly quick to reply. The backyard with the hot tub is huge and comfy. Can’t wait to stay again.

Property exceeded expectations. Everything that could be needed was accessible and available including a fully stocked kitchen plus beach towels and equipment. Would definitely stay again. Close to the ferry and the island shops/restaurants.

We had a wonderful quiet stay. Very fun island to stay on and we were able to take day trips to Laguna and Dana Point while here. Very convenient and nice and peaceful area. Host was wonderful and called to make sure our check in went smoothly. We’d definitely entertain staying again if it’s available.

A really beautiful place in an equally beatiful location. The garage parking and the outdoor space were particular highlights for this cottage. Cozy and comfortable place that exceeded our expectations for the visit.

We stayed here during a vacation with our children and grandchildren. They shared a larger house where we spent a lot of time. We returned to this house at the end of the evenings for peaceful nights. This was perfect for a couple! We kept the windows open during the day and only ran the AC in the bedroom at night for coolness and white noise. This little house is conveniently located equal distance from the ferry and Marine St. It’s a quick 1/2 block to the walking path around the island. We didn’t use the hot tub, but it was conveniently located in a quiet courtyard just out the back door. We love Balboa Island and have made several trips here. I love that everything is within walking distance. We parked the car and walked all week. It’s very convenient to have a parking spot in the rear of the house. Check in and out was quick and easy. We definitely would stay here again!

We so enjoyed our long weekend stay at Mariners Cottage. The proximity to the water allowed us to stay cool with the breeze blowing in the windows. We could walk everywhere easily - a great location! Our stay was quick so we didn't have time to enjoy the fire pit or hot tub but the privacy of the back patio was nice to have available. Chase was very responsive to questions and the check in process was seamless. I would highly recommend this property!
