The place is nice and made the overall weekend better with no problems.
Comfortable, accessible, perfect for us.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Beaufort and the cottage just added to it. The cottage was extremely clean and comfortable. Better than even expected. Towels and linens were of good quality and the kitchen was very well stocked. There were absolutely no issues. The location in the historic district was perfect. Easily walkable to the waterfront and main street. The manager Denise was so friendly and helpful as well. We'll hopefully be back!
Wonderful visit to Beaufort, great location for day trips and walking the area. The house was comfortable and had a fully equipped kitchen for dining in although the restaurants in Beaufort are delicious! We bought a park pass and spent lovely afternoons at Hunting Island. A lovely stay!
This cottage was in the perfect area to enjoy all Beaufort has to offer. Very quiet neighborhood. Also allows day trips to Charleston and Savannah. Would definitely stay here again.
The cottage was adorable, clean, and walking distance to the little downtown. Denise was so quick to respond to messages and very accommodating.
This was our first stay with a VRBO host; we were not really sure what to expect. This cottage is thoughtfully appointed, having everything guests could need or want and more for a enjoyable stay. The property is very cute and was super clean when we arrived. The check-in process was was incredible easy. Everything is exactly as advertised and more. There is a bakery/breakfast shop right around the corner; the historic and picturesque areas of Beaufort are all within easy walking distance from the cottage, including the downtown commercial and waterfront areas. We highly recommend a walking exploration of the town. Exceptional is the only appropriate word to describe our host and experience. Our messages were responded to promptly and politely. The few of requests we had were answered in the positive and addressed well above our expectations. Denise, Thank you so much! Our stay ended just yesterday and we have already recommended this cottage to friends & family and are looking forward to our next visit.
Excellent in every way.
This cottage was great for our family and dog. Clean, plenty of room and absolutely adorable. Our stay wasn’t long enough. Beautiful area.
Lovely, quaint cottage that makes you feel right at home. We love Beaufort, and this house was perfect for our trip.
The property was very clean.
The property is an older historic cottage with a lot of charm. The actual gas lanterns outside the door was a great touch. The cottage was spotless and it had one of the best stocked kitchens of any VBRO I've stayed at. It's within walking distance of the waterfront park and main shopping street and a short driving distance to some of the islands and beaches. If I'm in Beaufort again, I will definitely plan on staying here. If there was any complaint, it's that there really is not any private space outside. There are some chairs and a firepit, but they're pretty exposed to the street, but not a big deal
My husband and our 2 little dogs enjoyed this delightful cottage. It was easy and well equipped.
Ours was an impromptu trip, much needed to provide support to my son who lives in Beaufort during a personal challenging time. We were very lucky to get the rental quite last minute. The cottage was tranquil and serene. We appreciated the cleanliness as well as the adequately supplied kitchen. We would choose these accommodations again!
We absolutely loved our stay at this cute little cottage!
Very nice clean place. Has everything. Close to everything. We even walked to the downtown area. The area is very nice and has a lot to do. Great restaurants. Beach is a short drive but worth it. Will be back.
It was our first time visiting this area and the first VRBO we’d ever done. First impression of the cottage was very good it is very cute and well appointed. The area of Beaufort it is located on is a tad run down but we did not have any issues or concerns. Many good restaurants on the area to pick from and having the washer and dryer was fantastic. We were disappointed there was no cable. We would have liked to be able to flip on the news with breakfast or unwind at night with some TV rather then have to use apps on a smart TV. The funrnishings were not very comfortable either as the couch cover needed a cleaning with it being a pet friendly place. We were expecting a grill and that’s my fault but a fire pit is not a grill. And the snack basket was pretty much packets of oyster crackers lol - nothing at all like the photo and not my idea of a snack. Minor details it was a good stay bit probably would stay on Hilton head next time.
Perfect cottage. Had everything! Dish soap, laundry soap, nice shampoo, tons of towels, washer dryer. Best VRBO experience so far. Great neighborhood, close to everything. Two blocks from water. We had 6 people and 2 dogs. It worked great. Would love to go back.
All of the amenities you could ever want. Warm gas lites awaiting your arrival. Very accommodating cottage for pets. Highly recommend visiting Beaufort, SC with the marshes, low country waters, waterfront, and Spanish Moss bike trail.
This place was just perfect. One of the best I've ever stayed in. Great location, wonderful house, and great owners. They communicated wonderfully. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.
This cottage is not only comfortable and attractive, but the guest’s needs have been beautifully anticipated. The owner is easy to work with and very helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Pelican Cottage.
I cannot say enough good things about this property. The pictures really don't do it justice. Very clean, comfortable and accommodating. Don't let the fact that it's pet friendly deter you if you're not an animal fan, you would never know pets were present. We stayed for the convenient location to Parris Island and it was easily accessible. I wish we would have been able to stay longer.
The place was lovely and very well equipped but we were expecting 2 bathrooms, not 1 and 3 bedrooms, not 2. We expected this because that’s how it was listed on VRBO (and I have a screen grab to prove it.) When I contacted the owner she said they didn’t advertise 3 bedrooms/2bathrooms. I responded that the VRBO listing most certainly did list it that way and I never heard another word from her about it. I also asked where the hair dryer was and she simply responded that there wasn’t one. The listing said there would be a hair dryer also. The hair dryer was not a big deal—we bought a cheap one. But the missing bathroom was. One person in our party has medical issues and I specifically sought out 2 bathrooms for that reason. Also I’d hoped our daughter who goes to school in Savannah would be able to stay with us, but since there wasn’t a bedroom she just stayed in Savannah and we spent a lot of time driving back and forth. Finally, the AC stopped working after the first day. I never even bothered bringing that up. So while the place was clean, cute and very well equipped, it wasn’t what we thought we were getting. We made the best of it and had a good time anyway since we were hardly there except for sleeping.
Thank you for the lovely hospitality and wonderful stay.
The property is outstanding! Cleanest and best equipped rental we have ever stayed in. The owner thought of everything; and made the house so welcoming for us, and our pups. It is so nice to find a pet friendly property that is this clean. I am allergic to most dogs, and am limited in which ones I can have. At previous pet friendly rentals I have had allergy attacks due to past fuzzy guests; that did not happen this time! Wonderful rental, would highly recommend.
Wonderful renovated property that we found very warm and comfortable. It is located so close to downtown Beaufort but, convenient to Ladys Island, Hunting Beach, Bluffton, Paris Island, Savannah, Charleston,,and others. Its nice to find a reasonable place that has the charm, style and provisions this place offered. Loved it. Thank YOU.
Was a beautiful place to stay. If I have plans to come back to Beaufort I would stay again.
