Homelands is a charitable trust which provides fully accessible luxury self catering accommodation in 9 purpose built lodges (Lundin, Largo, Drummochy, Massney, Cardy, Keil, Selkirk, Durham and Emsdorf). The lodges are situated in the picturesque village of Lundin Links overlooking Lundin Links Golf course with open views to Edinburgh over the Firth of Forth.

Lundin Links rests in the coastal Levenmouth area of Fife, 12 miles from St Andrews; the home of golf and the home of third oldest university in the English speaking world, and a short distance from the East Neuk's rugged coastline and its character filled fishing villages such as Crail, Anstruther, and Pitenweem. Lower Largo and Lundin Links themselves are famed for their links to the original Robinson Crusoe (Alexander Selkirk) whose birthplace in Lower Largo is a short distance from the Lodge. The village features a bar, restaurant, sports club (including tennis courts) and a small parade of shops including pharmacy, butchers, bakers, post office, and general store all within a short distance of the lodges. Also very close are beautiful woodland and coastal paths leading in both directions, towards Lower Largo or towards Silverburn Park.

The region is famed for its outdoor sports/activities, water sports, history and fresh produce / sea food; served in many of the local restaurants which range from Michelin starred to world famous and favoured by Royals fish and chips in Anstruther.

Further afield we are an hour from Edinburgh (Scotland's Capital City) and Dundee which houses the famous Discovery ship, the V&A and a great shopping centre.

The lodges have been specifically designed with accessibility in mind and a wealth of features have been incorporated into the designs to ensure they are as accessible as possible, including specialist support equipment/ facilities such as ceiling tracking hoists, a full spacious wetroom, profiling beds, airflow mattress, Clos-o-Mat toilet (depending upon lodge) and riser/recliner chair. We can also provide a range of specialist equipment free of charge on request such as mobile hoists, various shower chairs, a shower trolley, and equipment for people who have a hearing loss. These specialist items must be booked in advance and are allocated on a first come first served basis. For more information about what we provide please get in touch, our helpful staff will happily discuss your requirements.

We rented three lodges—Drummochy, Keil, and Lundin—for a wonderful double family celebration of Thanksgiving and my granddaughter’s 16th birthday. It was the perfect setup: plenty of time together, with the bonus of being able to spread out across the lodges and enjoy some peaceful downtime whenever we needed a break from the buzz. We loved being able to welcome several local family members and friends to join us, which made the celebration even more special and memorable. A real highlight was taking part in a needle-felting workshop at the Paxton Centre. Everyone had great fun creating Christmas-themed cards and decorations, and it added a lovely festive touch to an already fantastic stay.

My family took my elderly dad for a weekend. Every thing was there that we needed. Very spacious for the kids to run around and entertain dad and make it fun for all ages (3years to 89 years) clean and welcoming. Location was good for trips out and beautiful costal views to enjoy.

I'm so impressed with the thought that has gone into putting these holiday homes together. Everything has been carefully worked out to make a stay for anyone with a disability and their companions as easy and comfortable as possible. We stayed in the Lundin Lodge which was so spacious and beautifully fitted out. There are wide doorways, tracking for hoists if you need them and mobility aids can be ordered in advance. The house has an air of luxury, quality fixtures, fitments and furnishings. It is set in manicured grounds with easy parking and good proximity for walks or drives to beautiful towns, coastal villages, and countryside.

Homelands have really thought of everything! We had the most relaxing and comfortable long weekend for our extended family celebrations. Very clean, warm, spacious and so welcoming. Lundin lodge was fully accessible. Staff were lovely and very accommodating. We borrowed some equipment which made our stay so much easier. Definitely recommend this peaceful holiday haven.

Great holiday in fabulous surroundings. The house had everything I needed for a stay with my son who requires track hoists, a profiling bed and lots of space for his wheelchair. The tearoom in the grounds was perfect for a light lunch and we were made to feel very welcome.

A lovely spacious house with a sun trap patio to the rear with a view of the sea. We were extremely fortunate in April to have brilliant sunshine daily. Rooms were spacious, well laid out. We had the use of the Sara Stedy and my sister was delighted to see that when we arrived. This has been our first visit to adapted accommodation and I think the bar has been set very high. We enjoyed our stay very much and will be booking again for another couple of visits this year. Staff at reception were very welcoming and my sister had a good chat with the cleaning staff as we left and they too were very friendly. Perhaps having a TV in one of the upstairs rooms would be good as we as family slept downstairs and our support worker had time off upstairs. Altogether delighted to have found suitable accommodation for my sister, a recent wheelchair user. The area has plenty to explore and numerous accessible place to eat out. Many thanks to all involved with Homelands.

We had a fabulous long weekend celebrating Dad’s birthday. On this occasion he even asked to stay for longer!! Fabulous accommodation for the whole family - spacious & comfortable. Great location with all amenities in easy reach or places to explore further afield! The addition of the outdoor dog lead poles is sensible & appreciated. We hope to be back soon!

Even though we visited in November our stay was very comfortable and pleasant . The facilities are just amazing which makes it possible just to relax and enjoy the stay . Think it is great value for money for facilities and the no of bedrooms .

We stayed in Lundin Lodge during the second week of August '24. On arriving, we noted that the lodge was sparkling clean and very much appreciated the fresh milk, tea, coffee, cake and some cleaning materials. We find it very difficult to find holiday accommodation that can cater for our profoundly disabled twins, who are both full time wheelchair users and who both need hoisting, profiling beds, etc, so to be able to have two separate rooms with hoists and profiling beds was a huge bonus. There was plenty of space to manoeuvre around the lodge, we loved being able to have the doors to the downstairs bedrooms and the living room, open to the lovely view over the sea. We also appreciated being able to recycle the majority of the multitudes of plastics that go along with two tube fed children (and one with a tracheostomy).

Stayed at Homelands in Lundin Lodge for a family celebration. Originally booked for wheelchair accessibility which was no longer required, but family enjoyed the space and would recommend the lodges to anyone with mobility issues as everything on ground floor is completely accessible. kids enjoyed the space outside and the area is lovely. staff at reception were friendly and we had no issues during stay. plenty if parking at new lodges

We had a lovely time away in the Lundin at Homelands. We had two small children with us and they were so excited on our arrival as were we. The layout was great for us all, we were particularly impressed with the kitchen facilities and the large open spaces for the wheelchair to access everything . It made the stay very relaxed knowing we had everything we needed upon arrival and the parking close to the property. We can’t wait to return! Thank you

This is our third stay at homelands and we love it. Great location, designed for disabled people but great quality for everyone. Even the recliner chair is part of the deal. It’s secluded and the wear Small issue with the showers. Both start strong but run slower after a couple of minutes. Is this a water pressure issue? Another excellent stay, thank you.

Could not believe how beautiful this accommodation was. Everything was well thought out and catered to the needs of people with disabilities. So spacious inside, and outside area was well kept, private, and had a view of the sea! In a prime spot for a wee walk to Lower Largo ( 15 mins) with a few local shops and hotel within 5 mins walk. All accessible for people in wheelchairs or mobility scooters. Weekend stay from 17th to 20th May 2024, terrific weather. Would certainly stay again and highly recommend.
