The region is famed for its outdoor sports/activities, water sports, history and fresh produce / sea food; served in many of the local restaurants which range from Michelin Starred to world famous and favoured by Royals fish and chips in Anstruther.

Further afield we are an hour from Edinburgh (Scotland's Capital City) and Dundee which houses the Discovery museum and V&A Dundee, Scotland’s first design museum

This was our third pre-Christmas visit to Homelands as a family with a wheelchair user. Once again, the weather was (relatively) kind to us and we enjoyed a lovely break exploring the delights of the East Neuk of Fife. The lodges are ideally equipped for both able bodied and disabled visitors and the Christmas tree is a welcome touch. We hope to visit again in the Spring and will definitely return in December 2026. Thanks to all involved in Homelands.

We enjoyed a few days in Durham Lodge which is a wonderful house with everything that we needed and much more. We live locally and we were having work done in our house. Durham is very well designed and equipped and the grounds are beautiful and peaceful. We had some visitors while we were there and they were all very impressed by our accommodation.

We stayed in Durham which is a 3 bed lodge in November. The disable facilities were excellent. We’ve never been able to find an accessible holiday property that provides as much equipment and also being a luxury accommodation. The beautiful beach is within easy walking distance, which was brilliant for us to take our dog every morning for his walk. Lots of places to visit nearby, including St Andrews which was beautiful and had a lovely beach too. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

I booked through disabled holidays and their booking fee turned out to be very expensive. I would not use them again but book direct which I believe is a reasonable value for money

Lovely place to stay in a great location with fully accessible accommodation. Very helpful and friendly staff from booking to leaving. Ample parking for the group and access for wheelchair users. Also very good for the elderly and neurodivergent groups and individuals - providing much needed quiet as well as open areas. We would recommend Homelands highly and would like to return.

If you, like we do, have people with limited mobility because of a disability in your family and you have, like we have, year after year problems finding a decent place to spend your holidays, then we have some good news. In August 2025, we have spent our yearly family holidays with our sons with such a disability in the Durham lodge of the Homelands resort in Fife, Scotland. The lodge had all the space you need if you have a person with a powerchair in your party, as well as ceiling hoist in the bedroom and the bathroom. The lodge was well equipped and clean. The domain is situated in a beautiful environment, close to the water, with plenty of locations to visit and enjoy, while the lodge itself is also a good fit for some relaxing days ‘at home’. Spending our vacation at the Durham lodge of Homelands has raised our bar with regards to expectations for our future holidays.

The lodge was amazing. So comfortable and quiet what we needed. Gordon had a lovely shower each morning and chilled with music/TV. Would definitely come back again.

Homelands in Lundin Links, Fife, is a great location for a short break away from home. Durham is a 3 bedroom house with all the accessible facilities provided to make an easy ‘home from home’. The house is bright and airy with plenty of space for a wheelchair and no hazards for a walking frame. The site is quiet and peaceful with lovely views from all the windows. Lundin Links has a very good row of shops an easy distance from the site and plenty of open spaces nearby. There is an excellent restaurant, Crusoe, a short walk down to Lower Largo where they will accommodate wheelchairs and dietary needs..

Homelands is a truly wonderful facility for holidays where a member of the group has a disability. This was our second pre-Christmas visit. We have a wheelchair user in the family and her every need was catered for in the spacious and well equipped lodge. Lundin Links is very well situated on the Fife coast south of St Andrews and within easy reach of the lovely seaside villages of the East Neuk. We were very lucky with the weather and greatly enjoyed our early Christmas visit with family and friends. Thank you!

Perfect accommodation with disabled child and a dog. Cleanliness of the accommodation and having equipment for disabled was brilliant. Only downside was a bit of a struggle with the wheelchair in the area.

My husband is completely wheelchair dependent. We absolutely loved it. Clean and tidy, washing machine and tumble dryer absolute god send. Everything my husband uses and needs at home in the way of equipment was there. The beds are amazingly comfy. My husband said his air mattress was amazing. Absolutely amazing.

Best adapted place we've ever stayed in after25 years with wheelchair! A few suggestions: Lighting at kitchen sink is poor need under cupboard lights. A TV upstairs would be nice. TV in downstairs bedroom cupboard odd but presumably for the bedridden? A to do before leaving list would be helpful, we were hunting back thru folders! And still missed the windows.
