Dana is a very responsive and gracious host. Her place is fantastic...I absolutely LOVED sitting in the lazy chair and staring out the back yard...seeing the colorful trees on the property and across the water. The house is very clean, comfortably decorated and lots of spices to help flavor the soup we made (: The neighborhood is beautiful to walk in and quiet. I still close my eyes and picture the beautiful view of the backyard. We enjoyed delicious vegan pierogis at Prince of Pierogi Restaurant and oat milk latte at Kick Coffee!

We had a great 7-night stay at Sawyer Harbor Retreat with family (4 adults and 2 teens). The house is very well-equipped and clean. The space was great for our family of four plus grandparents that can't do stairs. The host was very responsive and they were even able to accommodate us checking in 1.5 hours early. The only negative was the private dock, was described as easy to launch kayaks and canoe and this is not the case as the dock is small and the water level is super low with high grasses and cattails. You might be able to launch from the dock but it certainly would not be easy, however, we were able to get the kayaks down to the boat launch just a few blocks away. Overall, I would recommend Sawyer Harbor Retreat.

This cottage is perfect. The owners have literally thought of everything. There were 10 of us for a family vacation. It’s far enough away from the hustle and bustle of door county but close enough to enjoy it all. We took the kayaks out, the water is shallow but we were still able to get out there and enjoy the water. Beds were comfortable! Plenty of room for all of us, we had a great time! Owners were super responsive if we had any questions, we didn’t have too many because they had us prepared for anything we might need. We would love to come back again!

House is WELL stocked with just about everything you would need! Beds were comfortable, and the bedding was a big hit!A full septic tank caused a stressful late afternoon into evening. Host responded quickly once they was informed of the problem, and situation was resolved. An abundance of ticks limited yard activity. Bay was too shallow so we were unable to use canoe/kayaks that were provided! We would go back again!

Our stay was awesome! Great cabin feel, water views, huge yard, and very private. The best part however is that this cabin is fully outfitted with all the essentials for the minute you get there and realize you may have forgot something. They had complimentary toothbrushes, toothpaste, coffee, condiments, and more than just one roll of toilet paper and one garbage bag! That means a lot when 4 guys have their minds on fishing, not shopping! Dana was great, communication was superb. Will be back annually if its up to me. Great Job Dana!

My daughter & I spent 4 days at Sawyer Harbor Retreat for a quiet, mid week getaway. It was absolutely perfect! We had everything we could ever want. Linens were luxurious & cozy. There was plenty of coffee & teas. The fireplace was perfect. It was so quiet & beautiful. The view was just so gorgeous. Arrival was simple, as was departure. Host is super well organized. Can't wait to go back.

The house we very comfortable and had everything you need for a kitchen. House sits level and was easy to access for my elderly mother with walker. Fire pit was very nice as we had fires nightly. Kayaks were great and the water is calm.

The house was clean neat well kept. It has everything you needed and more. Everything needed in kitchen and laundry. Seasonings, detergents etc. you could not be disappointed. Plenty of linens, towels and feminine products, new still in package toothpaste and brushes. Outside was private, peaceful. Only visitors were a dozen turkeys passing through. Highly recommend and will stay again if we need to.

Our family booked this property as a way to celebarte my Father in Law's 75th Birthday. We had a wonderful time, and the location was beautiful. We were a little suprised however that the home felt smaller than the photos led on, and there was an ongoing fruit fly issue from the time we arrived until departure. I did reach out to the host about, and did not feel the response was consistent with the 5 star intentions, communicated/advertised. Overall, though, we had a wonderful time!

The only word that describes this place -- perfect. It was impeccably clean and had practically everything we needed. The kids loved kayaking, the fire pit, and running around the back yard. The owner was incredibly communicative as well. It was the highlight of our trip to Door County!

What a terrific stay. The host was terrific and responsive. The house was perfect. We were only there for a couple days. If you are just relaxing at the house that is good, but if you are new to Door County and want some exploration and down time, I suggest no fewer than 3 days. It would be a great house for a week long stay.

The cottage made our second visit to Door County an enjoyable one. It quickly felt like coming home after we were out for the day. We had all amenities that we could possibly need. The huge yard was excellent for the kids throwing frisbee and balls. Great fire pit. There were 4 kayaks and 1 canoe available for our use near the bay inlet on the property. Dana, the host could not have been better!
