Balboa Island is a gem whether you drive, walk, bike or take the Balboa Island Ferry to the island. Balboa Island’s Marine Avenue is home to chic coastal shops featuring unique nautical designs, stylish beach fashions, art and jewelry. It’s also home to quaint restaurants and bistros serving up a variety of dishes bursting with flavor. The selections on Balboa Island go beyond the local fresh seafood of the day with flavors of Italian, Mexican, and French-Swiss mixed in to the culinary choices.

There may be nothing more iconic than the island’s two famous desserts, the Balboa Bar and Frozen Banana. The local sweet tooth treasures have been mainstays for nearly 75 years, and have been imitated and replicated, including on the hit TV show “Arrested Development.” The tasty treats are dipped in chocolate and covered with a variety of coatings from nuts and sprinkles to cookie crumbs.

If you want to visit the DISNEYLAND, our property is located just under 20 miles to the resort and it's two main parks. After a great day at the parks, you can return back to your villa, refresh, relax, and take a stroll down to the beach.

If you are interested in the Laguna Beach PAGEANT OF MASTERS during July, this is a fantastic place to stay. Lyft or Uber is the easiest way to get to the event. You can enjoy a nice glass of wine on the balcony before your ride picks you up and takes you to Laguna Beach.

Additional local attractions include Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, Whale Watching (included in the FREE FUN package), Aquarium of the Pacific, South Coast Plaza, and Fashion Island.

But a trip to Balboa Island wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Balboa Fun Zone or the Peninsula, where the Ferris wheel has stood for more than 80 years, and the world famous Balboa Island Ferry. The Ferry is about 10 minute walk from the cottage.

This cottage can also be rented in conjunction with the front unit for larger families.

We do allow dogs and there is a $100 per pet fee that will be charged.

Both televisions are Smart TVs and you can log into your favorite streaming services.

Please note that our properties may have electronic devices installed such as electronic locks, front door cameras, or noise monitors. There are no video devices inside the property. Balboa Island, as a whole, is undergoing a process of moving utilities underground and roads may be closed.

It was a very comfortable place to stay. I liked what was included. We had nearby family come by and the sitting area was spacious and comfortable.

Everything was perfect! We love this little cottage and have created some amazing memories on Balboa! Having a parking space was great, but we were also able to find street parking. Scott/iTrip and his team are incredibly responsive and helpful!

Property Manager failed to mention extensive construction on Balboa Island resulting in road closures and a constant flow of traffic streaming past the unit resulting in a noisy, miserable stay. A different VRBO location would have been selected had this been communicated.

We had the pleasure of staying at 1106 Park Ave for a week with our fur kids, and it was a great experience. Scott and his team really came through for us in a pinch—we're so thankful we found them! The cottage is older and has a charming, quaint vibe, but it's well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The home was clean and stocked with plenty of towels. The queen bed was cozy, and all the couches were super comfy too. Having a dedicated parking space was a big plus, especially since parking in Balboa can be tricky. Our large SUV just barely fit, but it worked! Although the cottage is on a main road, we didn’t find it noisy—everyone seemed to respect the local noise ordinance. There’s no air conditioning, but the fans made a big difference. It could get a bit warm in the summer, but we were fine during our stay. The stairs to the upstairs area are a little steep, and taller folks might need to duck on the way down—but it wasn’t a big issue. Another huge perk is the location—there are plenty of shops, restaurants, and cafes all within walking distance, which made exploring the area super convenient and fun. Overall, we’d definitely recommend this spot for a small family or anyone traveling with pets. We'd happily stay again!

This beach rental is absolutely amazing! You’re walking distance to everything and can hear the waves crashing from the rental. It is extremely relaxing and it’s a great rental to recharge yourself at. Everything was clean and well kept which was appreciated. This space is great for a couples getaway and to spend time with your family as well. I highly recommend you give yourself an opportunity to check this space out.

This was our 3rd time staying at this location. Everything was as expected. Excellent location! Even better value! We love the patio, the dedicated parking space inside the gate, and the house is always well-stocked and perfect for our family of four. We will be back again!

1106 Park is a duplex. It began many years ago as one house but was refigured as two rental properties. As advertised, it is less expensive than most of the properties on the island, however it has some interesting aspects. The upstairs double bed room and the twin bed room has only 1 outlet which makes for difficulty with plugging in phones, fans and lamps. The drawers are old and difficult to open and close. The staircase is difficult to walk if you are very young or old. It is steep and narrow and can be dangerous if you get up in the middle of the night to use the facilities. The kitchen and living room are nice and the patio which overlooks the alley is comfortable and nice. There are nice amenities. Overall it is an old duplex but a good value.
