At the front of the cottage, a small enclosed gravel garden leads to the front door, opening directly into a welcoming open-plan living and kitchen area. Thoughtfully decorated in calming shades of blue and teal, the living room offers comfortable seating for four around a wood-burning stove and TV — perfect for cosy evenings in.
The tiled kitchen area is well equipped with an electric oven, hob, fridge with small freezer compartment, dining table and chairs. Beyond the kitchen, a useful porch provides storage space for coats and shoes by the back door. From here, you'll find the modern ground-floor bathroom, complete with a bath and shower over, washbasin and WC.
Upstairs, there are two comfortable bedrooms: one with a standard double bed and the other with a 4ft-wide double bed.
Through the back door, you'll step into a small enclosed courtyard, with access to the outhouse opposite where you'll find a washing machine and freezer.
Parking is available for one car on the road directly beside the cottage, with additional parking nearby on Old Chapel Road. Two dogs are warmly welcomed free of charge. Dogs are welcome in the downstairs living areas, but we kindly ask that they are kept off the furniture.

Lovely little place, Everything you could need at the cottage, very cosy, 5mins walk from shop beach pub ect. There's a small village walk. Only criticism is there was so many 'useful' things no where to put our own stuff! 2 extra chests of draws In the wardrobe plus other stuff, made it hard to hang things, food cupboard was full of scent sticks , prob could of gone under sink! Mattress comfy but will need update soon. Other than that smashing stay, Cottage had interesting bit of history , and big storage space, laundry room outside if needed and nice little table back and front. Nice welcome basket, thankyou. Winterton is a lovely quiet village. When you see what they've done to the next town along makes you appreciate it even more!! Would stay again : )

We booked a very last minute break away for October half term and what a gem we found. The property from the moment you opened the door was warm and welcoming and smelt absolutely devine - no doggy smell at all considering a dog friendly cottage. It had everything we needed for our break. The beds were really comfortable and the welcome hamper was such a lovely touch. We only have a small dog so the yard was fine for us plus the beach was only a 5 minute walk away. Fab local fish and chip shop and the corner shop had the essentials. Thank you for a lovely stay and would definitely love to return!

Spent five days at 1 Old Chapel Cottages, and we found the cottage to be very warm, comfortable and well equipped. We had our two, lively spaniels with us so it was great to have the dunes and beach so close by, and the village of Winterton has a decent shop, pub, cafe and a very good fish and chip shop. The cottage has only a small patio at the back and another at the front, enough to sit and have a coffee in but nowhere for the dogs to run around, but the dunes are very close by so that was not a major problem. Very good value, so long as you can manage without a larger garden.

A lovely cottage perfectly located for centre of village and short walk to beach. Cottage was well equipped and had benefit of outbuilding with washing machine and freezer. Lovely cottage inside and just right for a lovely holiday.

Couldn't have asked for a better location. Right by the sand dunes and in a lovely quiet village. The cottage was very cosy and was ideal for two people and a dog. The court yard was a little bit tiny for our dog to stretch her legs but fortunately it wasn't far from the sand dunes. Just a very tiny negative in that there was no grill pan or baking tray which would have been useful.

We had a fabulous few days in your beautiful cosy cottage . It was in a great location to access the dunes, we loved seeing the seals , very handy for the little shop and the yummy fish & chip shop too. The cottage itself was very clean and comfy for the 3 of us and had everything we needed and more . We loved the wood burner when we returned from a cold walk on the beach and the boot/ utility room outside was perfect for sorting our two dogs out and getting out of muddy / wet wellies at the end of the day. Thankyou for letting us stay , we wouldn’t hesitate in staying again .

We had a lovely 4 night stay. The cottage suited us perfectly. Christmas decorations up for a stay in the first few days of December was a nice touch! Sadly the fish and chip shop was closed when we were there but we had a good meal at the local pub. Corner shop had plenty of supplies should they have been needed. We will definitely be returning.

Booked this cottage last minute based on recommendations. It was absolutely lovely. There was just me and my dogs and it was perfect, everything I needed, warm and comfortable. The location though was the icing on the cake just a short stroll to the dunes and the most beautiful beach where I was often the only human there (occasionally accompanied by seals!) Village shops had everything you might need - lovely doggy treats in the tearoom. I will definitely be back

A lovely well presented cottage with a warm glow from the Christmas lights as we entered. It had everything we needed for our short stay with the added extra of a welcome basket. The location was great as it was only a 3 mins walk to the dunes.
