This cosy cottage is up a country lane, in the picturesque countryside surrounding the market town of Moffat, in the owner’s grounds. Moffat is an attractive conservation town, coaching stop and 19th Century spa town. Its ’double’ high street has lots of specialist shops and due to its weaving associations you can choose from wool and cashmere in colours to match the local hills. The town lays claim to the narrowest street in Scotland and the shortest street in the UK. According to the Guinness Book of Records, the ’world famous’ Star Hotel, at only 20 feet across, is the narrowest hotel in Britain, if not the world! Moffat is so easily reached and if calculations are to be believed, it is situated one mile south of the centre of Britain! Both Glasgow and Edinburgh can be reached in under an hour and Carlisle is around forty minutes to the south.

The double bed is in the open-plan living room.

Chest freezer available for guests use can be found in an outbuilding.

There is open water in the property grounds.

Lovely cottage, conveniently situated within walking distance of all Moffat amenities. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and Charlie was on hand to solve any problems we had. Would recommend Dye Mill Cottage to anyone wanting to explore the Borders.
