Cosy Rural Cabin With Hillside Viewpoint

We arrived late so it was dark. When we woke up Saturday morning the views were sensational. The campsite has six glamping pods which are well spaced so you do not feel on top of each other. Right off the main Moffat to Selkirk road but far enough back you do not hear a thing. Definitely recommend and will visit again.

This was a lovely peaceful place. Stunning views with a night sky that is fantastic on a clear night. Dog friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Very pet friendly, gorgeous views and close to some lovely hike trails. A warm shower and comfortable bed with free wifi, nothing more you can ask for.

Great location between Moffat & Grey Mare's Tail. We used it as a base for the Moffat Walking Weekend and a swim in St Mary's Loch. A comfortable, roomy glamping pod with plenty of room in between. Even had the pleasure of meeting the proprietors which makes you feel part of the family. Cannot fault.

This is our 6th year coming to moffat wigwams with our group of friends, the weather wasnt great but made for misty mornings & cosy evenings catching up in the bbq hut!

Exactly as described, lovely area to stay in and explore. Host was very nice.

Only six pods so very quiet. Lovely welcome and everything was as described so no untoward surprises. Would absolutely return and recommend.

The Wigwams were beautifully presented and clean, kitted out with everything you need for a stay. The location was far out enough away for peace and quiet but not too far a drive to the shops. Would definitely stay again.

Gorgeous area, lovely views, went for a walk next to a waterfall which is a 5 minute drive from the campsite.

The pod was spotless with so many useful bits inside, the views from the site were amazing. Our favourite part was the trails on the hill above, hours of walking from the pod, so many lovely little touches with the sign posts, many benches and shelter to use. We loved using the fire pit and watching the world go by, then seeing the amazing dark skies and stars. We’d love to come back soon. Have recommended to our friends too! Cleanliness of the pod and area surrounding and John was a very good host.

The area is so peaceful & beautiful. Dog friendly which is an added bonus and lovely walks around the pods. We had such an amazing time & already looking to return. The pods were so clean and cosy, the hosts even went above and beyond for my partners birthday with banners and bunting - was beyond our expectations!

We had an amazing stay at the cabin! The location was absolutely stunning, offering peace and tranquility, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The cabin itself was cozy, spotless, and well-equipped with everything we needed. What made our stay even more memorable was the incredible kindness of the hosts. When our car broke down and we couldn’t leave on time, they were so understanding and went above and beyond to assist us. Their hospitality truly made our experience unforgettable.

We had an lovely time in the hut just 10 minutes away from the picturesque town of Moffat. The hut itself was warm, cosy and inviting and felt more than spacious enough for two adults and two dogs. Check-in was simple and the hut came with everything needed to be self-sufficient. Nearby day trips to St Mary's Loch and Gray Mare's waterfall made this a really special few days away. Moffat nearby has a great selection of local pubs and shops to keep you stocked up. Would definitely return.

What a beautiful magical place to spend our honeymoon! Laura made our stay so very special with fairy lights, candles, Prosecco, flowers and chocolates. We had the most chilled out stay with wonderful views. The weather didn’t put us off it just made our stay more charming. I would highly recommend visiting this idyllic location with fantastic hosts. Stayed here with family for a night. The pod was clean and could accommodate us, including 2 children, comfortably. Location-wise, around 10 min drive from Moffat town. Check-in instruction was clear and had no issues at all. The fire pit was an extra purchase, but it was worth considering the weather and children loved the fire and family time around it. I would imagine if the sky was clear, it would have been a bonus for star gazing. Will try to come back again.
