Bryce Resort is located 8 miles from Shenandoah Caverns and 7 miles from Meems Bottom Covered Bridge, the fourth formally recorded bridge across the North Fork of the Shenandoah River.
The Space
The Bryce House is our favorite vacation home. We tried to keep that period vibe throughout the chalet during the remodel, when we built the fireplace, remodeled the bathrooms, and selected the furniture rugs and artwork.
The chalet has tons of windows and a great view of the golf course and airstrip.
If you get lucky, you may get to see one or two planes fly by the upper deck! It’s super fun to watch them zoom by!

There is ample parking in front of the house; the property includes an extra lot for privacy.
Sorry, no pets, and of course, no smoking.
The Kitchen
If you like cooking, our kitchen is fully stocked with pots/pans, dishes, glasses, wine glasses, eating/cooking utensils, 4 slice toaster, Keurig coffee maker, pour-over coffee maker, cocktail ice maker, electric kettle, rice cooker, air fryer, and slow cooker.
The entertainment.
The upper level features a large new gas fireplace with multiple fire settings and remote-control thermostat, 40-inch tv with Roku and soundbar, and a 12-bottle single-zone temperature Wine Fridge.
The bottom level includes a comfy seating space with a 4k 65-inch Fire TV.
The bedrooms
One upper-level bedroom with a new queen bed. The mattress is firm with 2-inch memory foam for extra coziness.
Three lower-level bedrooms.
- Queen bedroom with new adjustable platform bed and softer mattress.
- Bunkbed bedroom with 3 beds, all feature 2-inch memory foam over the mattresses.
- Twin bedroom with 2 beds that also feature 2-inch memory foam over the mattresses.
The bathrooms
Upper level – One full bathroom.
Lower Level - One full bathroom and a second bathroom with shower and washer and dryer.
We decided to keep the retro bathtubs and countertops. Everything else is remodeled.
Cleaning
We follow a 6-step enhanced cleaning process that includes - UV light sanitizing between guest stays for the entire chalet.

The property was as pictured. It was refershing to have rented a property with a well stocked kitchen!! All of the necessary essentials were provided.
Cozy house. nicely decorated. very clean!! Effie want above and beyond in ensuring the home was well stocked with essentials in the kitchen, bathrooms, laundry room. also provided bottled water. Beds were very plush and comfortable. very homely feeling. kids had lots of entertainment with games and streaming service.
Wonderful home right nearby Bryce Resort. Super cozy and incredibly clean home, which is always a huge plus when traveling in someone else's space. Kitchen was well stocked and we loved the separate living room downstairs to send the kids to play. Effie was a great host who even left us a bottle of wine to welcome us, which was a very nice personal touch. She also prepared toiletries and loofahs! We felt very well received and would love to come back!
Everything about our visit was really great. We got lots of info from Effie before arrival, our own entry code and wifi password were set up and the house was clean, tidy and filled with everything we could need. We were altogether 12 people with kids in the party and there were enough beds for everybody, including enough towels. Beds were clean, everything in the kitchen was tidy and clean as well. The house is really charming with a giant fireplace and a giant tv. It's so big too that you can enjoy each other's company but also have places to quietly read. The weather was cold but I'm sure the big deck out front with beautiful views would be lovely in summer. Effie (the host) was amazing, kept in touch during our visit, responded quickly and tried to help us out with the icy weather and get us info. We definitely recommend this house if you are coming to the area.
We had a great time at this cabin. The listing was accurate and very comfortable for our family. Beautifully renovated - only wish the weather had been better for skiing! We will definitely return.
This was a perfect place to stay for our multi-generational family! Cozy, well-decorated, comfortable, and so close to the Bryce Resort, with beautiful views of the mountains. The hostess is wonderful - very responsive and accommodating. We hope to return soon!
We had a fantastic time! Cabin was perfect for 6 adults with 3 kids for the Thanksgiving weekend. The kitchen was outfitted with all the supplies and cutlery we needed to enjoy meals made right at the cabin. The fire place was a perfect touch. Our kids were able to have their own bunk beds and the beds/bedrooms were clean and comfortable. Everything in the house was clean and sanitized and there was even a basket of goodies with wine when we checked in. Its a great location for ski lovers which is just a mile away. There were also a ton of board games and cards which we really enjoyed during our stay. I will highly recommend this place 👍🏼 Effie was a great host, very responsive and we look forward to staying at her wonderful chalet again in the future.
