First, we planned to come over Mardi Gras break, but the ice storm forced us to reschedule. The owners were more than accommodating with us to reschedule. When we arrived, the check in was super easy and the cabin was clean & inviting. The back porch and fire pit was perfect for gathering and making s’mores. The view wasn’t to shabby ether! One afternoon we drove down to the river and kayaked for a bit. This place is tucked out of the way, quiet and the drive into Hochatown was quick. Highly recommend! Thanks darlin & Anna!
This cabin was an unbelievable find! Three bedrooms, 2 full baths, full kitchen with granite countertops, washer/dryer, wifi. It was pristine and sparkling, inside and out, when we arrived. The inside of the fridge and oven, as well as the bathtubs, looked like no one had ever used them before. It smelled great and there was soft music playing when we walked in. This cabin is in Smithville, about a 45-minute drive from Hochatown, which is perfect if you want to be away from the loud tourists. This does mean, though, that there are no restaurants nearby, nor grocery stores, so make sure you bring everything you need for cooking. They had olive oil, salt/pepper, a couple other spices, some flour and sugar. Make sure to BYO charcoal for the smoker, as well as staples like butter, ketchup, and any other food/bev you might want. The kitchen is well-stocked with utensils, pots and pans of all shapes and sizes; I also saw muffin pans, cake pans, and a large slow-cooker. They had detergent for dishes, dishwasher, and washing machine, which was very nice. Travel sizes of body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion were also supplied in each bathroom. It's a nice walk to the river where we used the kayaks, which was delightful. We also made a fire in the firepit several nights (they had a nice stash of firewood all stacked up for us). The TV has DirecTV but you can also bring your Roku/firestick. Darin stopped by midweek to check in and see if we needed anything, but everything was perfect. We've stayed in VRBOs all over the US and in a few countries, but Darin and Anne's cabin was as nice as anywhere. We highly recommend it and are already plotting a return trip to see the fall leaves change.
This area was a half way point for us and some of our family. We had 7 adults, a toddler and an infant. It was plenty of room, extremely clean and had everything we needed. They even had some extra games and movies that came in handy, especially paw patrol when it was raining and my toddler couldn’t run around outside. The property is beautiful. Definitely planning on coming back for another weekend in the summer.
The property is great! A very nice cabin right on the river. You can hear the river from the cabin and their are benches to sit on and watch it. The cabin has a patio where you can eat and charcoal your dinner. The cabin is very up-to-date and has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Beautifully decorated. The owner is very friendly and responded to any problems we had immediately. They even checked up on us because we were late arriving. It was during the winter storm of 2021 and Darin even carried our luggage to the door so we wouldn't slip on the ice. I just can't say enough good things about our experience.
Loved everything about this property! Quiet, peaceful locale surrounded by natural beauty makes this a great place for a relaxing getaway. The owners were very helpful and courteous, and the cabin was well-maintained and comfortable. The sight and sound of Mountain Fork River behind the property is incredible, and can be enjoyed from the fire pit or the deck.
We had a fantastic time at Deer Run cabin. It was clean and secluded with plenty of room for the kids to run and play outside. It’s about a 30 minute drive from Hochatown.
Our family of 6 (2 adults, 9 y/o and 7 y/o triplets absolutely loved our 4 night stay! Cabin is clean, cozy, private, and had eve to you need! Highly recommended!
This was an amazing cabin tucked away in the woods with the river flowing behind it. It truly was a winter wonderland! We will be back!
10 stars for our hosts and their cabin!! I am a cancer patient, so going away from the COVID ravaged DFW and spending 2 days (we’d stay a week if not for work and school) in tranquility was priceless for me, my wife and our two daughters. I don’t remember the last time I was able to sit down outside without a laptop or a smart device and fall asleep for an hour. Thank you, Annamarie, for making your beautiful cabin available for us.
This was our families very first away Thanksgiving from home. We couldn't have asked for a better property to fit our needs. It was beautiful, roomie & very secluded and quiet. It had everyyhing we needed. The owners were fantastic & there in petson when we needed something. They care about their guest & are very proud of their property! We will definitely be back and highly reccomend this property for your next family getaway!!!
Loved every moment at deee run. The most perfect cabin for a family get away. Had everything we needed and more. Pictures don’t do justice of it ❤️
We had a great time at this cabin. Property was great, had everything we needed. One of the shower curtain liners needs replacing and some of the beds mattresses were loud and uncomfortable. But the property is otherwise very nice and worth the price.
Thank you so much for sharing your incredible property with me and my family! The check in process was fast and easy. The property was clean and well stocked with all of the essentials. All that we needed was our food and drink. If we had a question or need, Darin was quick to respond. We hope that we can stay again. Thanks again, Tony and Pat
This place is amazing. Quite, peaceful secluded. Amenities galore and I have to say it’s the cleanest cabin we have ever stayed in. Darin and Anne are there to help and they are just precious. We shall return. No doubt. Loved every minute!
Very pleased with rental. Enjoyed taking Talimena Drive and going into Hochatown.
The property was amazing and the river and surrounding area looked like it had never been touched.
Great experience! Definitely plan to come back. Very grateful for everything
The property was just what we were looking for. Very clean and all of the necessities were provided. We loved our evenings spent by the campfire, with the sound of the river and the forest. We definitely hope to return.
Couldn’t have been any better. Everything we needed was there and then some. Wonderful house on the river. We caught a few fish, had s’mores, relaxed, and enjoyed the beauty of the river and the property. Darin and Anna Marie were delightful and responsive. We will certainly be back!
This was the perfect weekend getaway with the family. The cabin was clean upon arrival and had absolutely gorgeous views of the river. There’s a place to grill out and a campfire location in the back yard. The cabin is stocked with board games which my family enjoyed on the back patio. The owners Darrin & Anne Burks took time out of their day to Kayak down the river with us which was very generous and helpful. The river is very close to launch kayaks. There are kayaks available on first come first serve basis along with life jackets. Very friendly and caring owners which made our stay that much better. We will definitely be back to visit Legacy Trails in the near future.
We LOVED our stay at Deer Run! The cabin was just as or even better than described. We kayaked on the river and had a great time. The water was calm and it was easy access to the water. We would definitely stay here again - Thank you so much!
The cabin was everything we expected. It was super clean and comfortable. There was a great DVD selection. The river was nice. The owners were friendly. We enjoyed our time.
Secluded property surrounded by trees and nature. My family thoroughly enjoyed the hummingbirds and deer watching. We were able to build a campfire for s'mores one evening after it cooled down. The inside of the cabin was clean and included everything we needed for kitchen and bathroom. It was a great private quiet getaway that we really needed.
Beautiful peaceful cabin just steps from the river. Owners were very helpful and friendly. If I had a question or need something they were right there.
Beautiful property! House and grounds are well kept. Summer foliage blocked the view of the river a bit. We wanted a peaceful weekend out of town and got it. Recommend!!
My family thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day getaway in a private, secluded, beautiful cabin about 25 minutes north of Broken Bow lake. We enjoyed the surrounding nature and woods that encompassed the location, the fire pit and nice back porch was an inviting setting in the evening. The cabin was full of amenities and was a very relaxing environment away from our normal, busy lives. Highly recommended! We will be back for sure!
We were very pleased to how well the cabin was stocked with cookware, laundry supplies, oweners were friendly. will return
Very nice cabin with river access a short distance away. Kayaking was awesome.
This is a great property and the Owners have thought of everything, even a water hose long enough to reach the fire pit. We had a great stay at Deer Run! Saw deer at the feeder every evening, plenty of other wildlife as well. Fishing from the kayaks was fun and relaxing. The Owners are available and helpful if needed. Overall a 5 Star experience. Looking forward to going back!
We really enjoyed the cabin and the area it is located. Quiet area with space to get out and walk or just sit and watch the river. The cabin is centrally located between Broken Bow and the Kiamichi Mtn areas so you’re only 30-40 minutes away from Beaver Bend or some great trails near Arkansas. We loved it and the owners were really responsive. The river was up too high due to heavy rains but we’ll definitely be back to stay again and kayak!
We had a great time. The only negatives were the queen size beds weren’t comfortable and they were super loud when you moved. They have basically everything you need except food. Be sure to get food before you visit, there’s not a good stocked grocery store close by.
Our very first impression was just utter excitement! My kids ran through the cabin screaming “whoa!” as they immediately picked their rooms. The cabin was immaculately clean and the decor is what completed the experience. This isn’t just a house in the woods. Stepping out the back door was breathtaking. There’s a nice fire pit set up, a porch swing among the trees, and the best view/sound was the calming trickle of the river. Lots of hiking and exploring from the backyard. Walking down to the river steps/entrance is about a mile down the road. Kayaks and life vests were provided, that the other few cabins share. A few pros that we didn’t know were so essential: WIFI, washer /dryer, close to Dollar General, outdoor/indoor games. The only con: no hot tub. The owners thought of everything... Shampoo, dish soap, laundry soap, and even dryer sheets!
Everything about renting this property was easy and efficient. It was incredibly clean and nice.
Thank you both for the wonderful service and sharing Deer Run Cabin. We will be back for the third time soon.
This cabin was the best. It was decorated so cute! The owners had everything we needed besides our food/drinks and clothes! We were very impressed! We will be booking this cabin again!!!!
The cabins were great. However the dogs across the street from the cabin park were very aggressive.
We came out during our spring break to just relax as a family and get away from the school year. This. Place. Was. Perfect. It was so quiet and peaceful -- you really can't see any of the neighbors from the cabin and the back yard area is designed to be outside relaxing -- there's a fire pit, a deck with a dining set, a swing, etc. We could also be on the front porch, which was lovely while it was raining. The cabin itself was ridiculously clean and VERY well equipped. You can tell they take great care of this place. We will definitely come back to this exact cabin the next time we need to get away from it all.
Really enjoyed the seclusion of Smithville but was still close enough to Broken Bow to shop and eat out. The little extras at the property like the fire pit (with wood) and the cornhole boards, made the visit special. It is about 30 miles from Broken Bow, so you aren't crowded by the tourists. We enjoyed the view of the river and the walks through the woods.
My husband & I loved our little weekend away! We brought our dog Brody with us & he loved it more than us we think! Thanks so much for opening your beautiful home!
This was an all girl family get away and we all had a wonderful time. Cabin is clean and well stocked with essentials, all we brought was our food and personal items. Very peaceful and secluded.
My wife and I took a lay minute trip to this lovely cabin. Very clean and had to be the most relaxing trip we have taken in years. The peacefulness and sounds of the river running by was well needed down time. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend for anyone wanting a quiet place to decompress
Our family of three kids enjoyed the property. The site is secluded with minimal traffic noise. A running river in the back is enjoyable for view and sound. We were able to have our privacy yet go exploring in Broken Bow. Beaver Bend State Park is about 35 min drive. We will be back.
Wow! This place could be on a Christmas card. Our 2 sons and their families enjoyed some much needed down time at this amazing cabin. It was very clean, comfortable, and cozy. Our only complaint was our stay was too short! The Little Family Dec. 25-27/2019
We had an excellent mini vacation for two families at the cabin. The check in and communication process was seamless. All questions were answered promptly. The cabin was beautifully decorated and very clean with small cute details giving it a very cosy feel. Cooking utensils and pots were in abundance so we whipped up two meals in the cabin. Fairy lights look lovely when sitting on the patio sipping tea. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely visit again!
Great cabin. Highly recommended.
Excellent property secluded just enough for that get away feeling. The home was clean, comfortable, and a joy for a week with the family to reset from 2019! There were multiple paths to the river directly from the house that require some leg work and super fun, as well as an easier access to the drop-in down the road a bit. The patio and its lighting were a welcome surprise and lead to enjoyable dinners in the open. As we were there for 7 days, Darin/Anne were nice enough to swing by and help us with our ever-growing Thanksgiving week trash needs while still affording us privacy with our family! Thanks D&A!
So relaxing and beautiful!
The Cabin was perfect! It was very clean and had everything we needed for a nice get a away.
Place was perfect and had everything we needed
very nice, everthing was perfect, property was even better then i expected
We enjoyed our stay at Deer Run. The view is somewhat hidden by the forest, but you could see the river and hear the water which was relaxing and peaceful. The cabin is beautifully decorated and well made with beautiful pine walls and ceilings. We used the corn hole game and the kiddie pool came in handy for our 15 month old. We spent a lot of time on the back deck where the river view is. There is a deck with a large table and shade umbrella and pretty patio lights and also a loveseat. The parking area was perfect and plenty of room for 3 vehicles and more. The entrance right into the gate was a bit bumpy as was the ride to the river where the water access is. Four of our party enjoyed the kayaks. There is a dollar general right before you turn onto Hwy 4 which we bought a lot of supplies from. They have an extensive inventory almost like a small Walmart. Impressive. Take advantage of it. It’s quite a drive to Hochatown about 30 minutes. Another 30 to Mena. Drawbacks. The bedrooms were quite small and nowhere to place your luggage. No luggage table and no dressers. The last bedroom bed was too high for my tastes, but I’m only 5’3 so that could have been a factor. There were only 8 bath towels in the entire house. Adding double that would be preferred as most women use two towels. There were plenty of hand towels and wash clothes. There was more than enough trash bags, laundry detergent and dishwasher soap which we utilized since we were traveling with two babies. The washer dryer was a big plus! The kids enjoyed the Netflix and WiFi was slow, but adequate for our needs. There were plenty of bowls, cups, silverware, casserole dish, cookie sheets under the stove and pots and pans. However the pots and pans maybe need to be replaced soon as I had issues with eggs sticking in the pan. Could have been my error as I am Not used to an electric stove. We cooked several times and I had everything I needed except a metal spatula which the owner Anne brought immediately to us when I asked. She was very accommodating when we had a last minute change of plans and brought a small dog. She made the process of paying the deposit quite simple and never made us feel bad for the change. The lawn is beautiful and soft with no stickers and was perfect for baby feet. We enjoyed the cabin and it was plenty of room for our 6 adults and two babies. Although the bedrooms are quite small we managed with two play and packs.
This was exactly what we needed!! Thank You!
Our girls weekend was by far the most amazing we could have asked for. Darin and Anne are so kind and even helped us choose where to Horseback ride. The property is beautiful and the views are hard to beat. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to get away from the big city. It is so peaceful and has so many activities to do! We look forward to our next visit!
So relaxing and peaceful. The place was immaculate and obviously well taken care of. Spent most of our time in the patio just listening to nature and enjoying the view. Will book again!!
The cabin was perfect for our family. It was very clean and well kept and had everything needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We saw many deer and hummingbirds. It is just a short drive from Hochatown, where the dining and shops are great. We will definitley be back!
We had a great time. The cabin was very clean. We hated to leave. Hope to come back again.
Property was perfect for our needs and a beautiful location!
Pwrfect place to have good time
We enjoyed our getaway at this cabin. Kids had a blast kayaking and swimming in the river. Lots of deer as well! We would love to come back again.
Awesome adventure for all 4 kids ranging from 10yrs old to 23, and their dad as well!! Owners were fantastic and made sure we had everything we needed. Even looked out for us when bad weather blew thru during the week of our stay! Looking forward to coming back soon!
Clean, cabin had everything we needed! Beautiful property!! Can’t wait to come back!!
Awesome property, awesome cabin.
Wonderful stay we will be back again!
Beautiful home with amazing views! Perfect place to “get away” from the crowds. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed this cabin so much. They provided all of the basics plus a lovely view. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Smithville.
Beautiful cabin. Pictures don’t do it justice. Extremely clean and has everything you need. Will stay again!
Decorated so cute, had all we needed in supplies. Plenty of room for 6 adults. Great family weekend, bbqing, playing corn hole and relaxing. Went on a trail in the area and that was nice. Enjoyed the home and the atmosphere.
Cleanest cabin I have ever stayed at. Had everything needed and Anna and Daren were awesome hosts!!
This was our third family/friends trip to this BEAUTIFUL cabin. It never fails that we have the most relaxing and enjoyable time. It is always a pleasure getting away from the big city lights to enjoy the peace and quite of this cabin. We will continue to recommend this cabin to all of our friends and family in the future & cannot wait to come back to Deer Run!
Loved everything about the cabin. Will definitely be back soon
Enjoyed every aspect. The cabin was clean and fully stocked. Everything was in good repair and easy to use. The beds were comfortable. Definitely will visit again.
Fantastic cabin and beautiful scenery. We prefer Legacy Trails due to more privacy and seclusion unlike most areas in Broken Bow that seem more like cookie cutter/track houses with limited privacy. We will back in the Spring to Kayak the Upper Mountain Fork River and do some fishing! Cant wait!
This is a beautiful cabin that has everything you need for your stay, just bring your food and enjoy!
Our family had a wonderful stay in Deer Run. The cabin is very cozy, with everything you can possibly need and filled with so many little accents, making it even more relaxing. It is located at Smithville OK in a peaceful area with the river close by and the short proximity of Broken Bow. This is just the perfect cabin, so lovely with lots of memories made this holiday !
Beautiful, quiet, nicely decorated cabin in a peaceful setting. Owners are very easy to deal with and responded to all questions immediately. Many thanks!
We met the owner and he was helpful and very nice. The cabin had everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable. I loved the Christmas decorations, even had a Christmas tree! They had music playing when we arrived and it smelled so nice. Overall it was perfect!!!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The property is more away from another place we stayed in Broken Bow before. It felt more secluded and quieter than the other cabin. We spent a lot of time by the fire pit relaxing, which was fully stocked with plenty of firewood. The inside was a nice setup with the bedrooms and bathrooms down one hallway. We would certainly go back!
The property has a view like no other. All of the cabins in this area are so well planned out.
The cabin was very clean and nicely decorated. We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit and listening to the river. I highly recommend staying here. It was truly a great experience.
Amazing cabin. Super clean. This cabin is perfectly nestled in the woods with wildlife and the sound of the river. One day when and if I ever retire I hope it’s to a little piece of heaven like this. You can forget the worries and hustle that interfere with life. Deer Run is a perfect place to enjoy what God has created.
Was pleasantly surprised when we arrived and the cabin was one story. Not sure why I thought it was 2 stories...maybe because so many are. It was beautifully furnished and very comfortable for 5 adults and 2 small dogs. We enjoyed the fire pit and the sound of the river. The guys fished the river and drove down to fly fish at Broken Bow. The cabin was situated well for us to go up to the Talimena Parkway which was gorgeous with the fall colors. It is a bit far to run out for dinner in Hochatown, but we had planned meals to cook for our stay. We did go to town and explore a few shops and have lunch. Having stayed at numerous VRBO properties, I searched for more detailed instructions for the TV and for our departure. Many ask you to put dishes in dishwasher and start it, place towels in one location, etc., but there were no instructions, so we just did what we are used to. The only issue we had is not something that is easily controlled... the weather. It was beautiful until the morning we departed and had rained all night. The drive was very muddy so loading the truck was a mess. We did back up to the walkway to load the back, but shoes were messy going back and forth. Unfortunately, that made the house dirtier than it had been all week and the truck needs a big clean up! Maybe adding some more gravel to the drive would help during inclement weather. Otherwise, the stay was great! We were used to traveling together but pulling RV’s. Both RV’s were sold recently and we really enjoyed the woods, a campfire and all the luxuries of home, then just coming home without having an RV to clean! Thanks for sharing your beautiful cabin with us!
We absolutely loved our stay. The house was immaculately clean and had everything we needed (might want to bring your own iron). We sat on the back porch and could hear the river running. Access to the river with kayaks is just a short drive down a dirt road. Kayaking and fishing on the river was the highlight of our trip. Just exceptional. We met Darrin, the manager and he was super friendly. I highly recommend this property if you’re willing to be about 30 min from Hochatown area.
This is a great spot for a family vacation. We saw deer everyday and the cabin is top notch. We had a lot of fun.
It rained half of the day Saturday. Luckily, the cabin had plenty of DVD's and board games. We had a great time even with a storm. Thank you for wonderful memories.
Deer Run Cabin inside was beautiful, relaxing and had everything that we needed for a wonderful stay. The deck outside had a beautiful view of the Lake which allowed us to listen to the water run by and see all the wild life while drinking our coffee. The kids and adults enjoyed making s'mores at the fire pit, kayaking in the river and hiking on the property. If your looking for a safe, comfortable, beautiful place to stay. THIS IS IT!
During our stay, we had some problems with the internet usage, but Darin was always quick on solving the problem for us. We generally don't use the internet so much during our vacations, but unfortunately, it rained during our entire stay and outdoor activities were not possible ... so the slow and limited data usage became a bigger problem to us for this vacation. [Tip: There is a library in Cove, AR, about 15 minutes away, you can use their WiFi without being a patron. While you are there, do stop by the Mexico restaurant crossed street from the library -- excellent food and very reasonable price.] The cabin is very clean and well equipped with almost everything needed. The only things missing are places for clothing -- there are no dressers (except a plastic bin in the MS bedroom) or hangers so we ended up just keeping all our clothes in our bags. The cabin is nicely decorated -- I especially love all the cute bears. We enjoyed watching the deer and hummingbirds from the front porch (when not raining) or the front window (when raining). It's too bad that we did not get to do any of the outdoor activities this time. Hopefully when we come back in the future, the weather will cooperate with us.
We stayed three nights at Deer Run and couldnt have asked for a more relaxing getaway. The cabin was absolutely beautiful and secluded. Fully stocked with everything we could need. Darin & Anne were so nice! We were able to kayak the Mountain Fork River from our location, no kayak outfitters needed. Deer and wildlife to watch all over the grounds! Easy access to restaraunts and shopping. We will definitely be back!!
Great property, location and experience. Highly recommend it for a getaway!
Totally enjoyed the stay at Deer Run and the owners are great. Location is soooo quiet the cabin is large , clean , cool in the summer, roomy. Absolutely no cons. Location is abou a 25 min drive to Hochatown beavers bend. The river access is close by. Fishing swimming and kayaking are all there.
Deer Run gave our family a wonderful vacation of time together fishing and kayaking and simply relaxing. The cabin is perfectly stocked and comfortable and clean. Owners are prompt to respond and help in any way. We’d love to come back!
My family visited Deer Run cabin on July 3-5, 2018. We had a wonderful, relaxing visit. The cabin exceeded our expectations and the owners were very nice - making sure we had everything we needed. We highly recommend a visit to this (or any) Legacy Trails Cabin. We cannot wait to return!
Had an amazing stay here. It was quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The cabin was perfect.
We had a wonderful time at deer run. Its was very relaxing and enjoyed watching the wild life around us. The owners are very sweet
We had the best time! The house was so clean and had everything we needed!
This is an amazing property to unplug. The cabin has plenty of room for 3 couples. The cabin is set among the pines with the back of the cabin providing a view of the MT Fork River with a peaceful sound of the flowing water and wildlife, in the mornings and evenings you can enjoy the deer eating and passing through from the front porch. There is nice fire pit with a generous amount of firewood to spend your evenings enjoying the company and eating smores. The cabin is nicely decorated and it was a pleasant surprise to find fishing rods and a corn hole game as well as kayaks at the rivers’ edge which is just a short drive from Deer Run Cabin. We had the privilege to visit with the owners and learn a little bit about them and area. The cabin was well kept and exceptionally clean. We are definitely planning future stays at this location and recommend it to others.
Absolutely loved Deer Run Cabin! We can’t wait to go back again.
What an amazing cabin. Very cozy. We were greeted with a perfectly fitting soundtrack of nature sounds with guitar and piano coming from the TV soundbar. We ended up leaving it on pretty much all weekend as it fit the mood of the entire trip. We were just getting settled in when I realized the grill was charcoal and we did not bring any with us. I called and 10 min later it was delivered to our front door by the owners. Talk about service to their customers. We will be coming back soon as it’s a relaxing, back road road drive up from Dallas. Highly recommended.
This is a beautiful property. The cabin was great for 3 couples -plenty of room. There is large fire pit where we spent our evenings. There was a generous amount of firewood. It was a pleasant surprise to find fishing rods and a corn hole game. We took advantage of the available kayaks at the rivers’ edge as well. The owners were wonderful to work with and were very accommodating. The cabin was well kept and exceptionally clean. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.
Beautiful, secluded cabin that was perfect for our family. We enjoyed sitting outside and listening to the birds and watching the squirrels play. The view was breathtaking! We enjoyed kayaking and hiking. This is a perfect place to get away from the hustle of the city. We will definitely be returning! Curt and Reagan Landers Mansfield, TX
We have had the privilege of staying in this cabin four different times. Each time we have enjoyed our stay better than the last time. The cabin is beautiful, the beds are comfortable, the view of the lake is breathtaking; from the front porch in the evening you can watch the deer walk through the property. Whether you are kayaking on the river, hiking on one of the trails or taking it easy by the campfire, you can't help but have a great time. We will see you soon, John,Lena,Payton and Katie Jim and Kay
My wife and I rented this cabin for our anniversary and it delivered exactly what we needed for a long weekend. The cabin looks out over the Mountain Fork River and is within a short drive of Broken Bow Lake and Queen Wilhelmina State Park in Arkansas. Kayaking, hiking and many other activities are easily accessible and within a short walk or drive. The cabin is very spacious and offers a large front porch and a back deck area that is great for taking in the relaxing sounds of the river down below. The beds and bedrooms are very comfortable and large and there is plenty of kitchen space along with a grill for outdoor cooking. We both enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!
Our time together at Deer Run was wonderful. The cabin setting gave us all that we needed and wanted--a rustic, but well appointed cabin for one middle aged and two more than middle aged women. The three bedrooms and two bathrooms accommodated us and the kitchen provided adequate items to meet our dining needs. It was a fun time!!!
We had a very enjoyable and relaxing experience at Deer Run! Great cabin right off of the river!
The cabin at Deer Run was fantastic. Everything except the food was all provided. The cabin spacious, clean and very inviting. The property provided plenty of hiking and wildlife to enjoy.
Loved our getaway to Deer Run Cabin. It was peaceful, beautiful, and clean. We loved the music when we arrived. We started out the morning walking the trails and going by the river. We highly recommend going to A to Z ranch and going on a horse trail ride. It’s only 15 minutes away and the views are breathtaking. Thanks for a great weekend getaway!
My family and my Brother-in-law and his wife stayed for four nights. We enjoyed the beautiful cabin and the wonderful outdoors. One thing that was tough was finding the plugs for the kayaks and there isn't a close grocery store. There is a dollar General about 8 minutes away so you van get some staples. Other than that it is a wonderful place to escape from the city life. A to Z Guest Ranch has great horses and magnificent trails.
Do yourself a favor and consider this Cabin. The owners are really nice and helpful. It's a short 30-40 minute from lake but well worth the sirenity.
We enjoyed our restful time at Deer Run Cabin and would recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet, secluded place to rest and meditate on the beauty God has created. The cabin was clean, fresh, and well maintained. The kitchen does have all the amenities as advertised. We even built a fire and roasted marshmallows in the outside fire pit. To stay very comfortably, you only need to bring food and personal items. Although there is a lake 40 or so minutes away, we chose to enjoy walking around the property. The Wi-Fi connection is weak, but our phones and electronics worked well inside the cabin, but not outside. We would also suggest installing a rail beside each bathtub for safety. We gave this cabin 5 stars because we are making memories each day of our lives, and our stay was most memorable! We had friends stay with us and the cabin was large enough to accommodate 4 adults and 2 children. Thank you, and may God continue to bless you. Harry and Vicki, Wylie, TX
Had a wonderful relaxing weekend away from home . Peace and quiet watching nature away from traffic and noise.
This is one great getaway and i will be back! The owners are more than accommodating! We had an exceptional time and enjoyed the immaculate scenery. It is far enough away to escape the hustle and clear your mind yet still close enough to the regions attractions and the nearby casino $$$$. Calling all wildlife(Sasquatch) enthusiast, adventurers', and Casino connoisseur's.......you will not regret it!
Had a great weekend with friends. The cabin was perfect, clean and had everything we needed. This was our second visit and we will for sure be back. Can't wait to kayak and enjoy the river.
I LOVE this cabin! I have stayed in several different cabins in the area and this one is my favorite. It's clean, well kept, and the beds are very comfortable, even for my very tall Husband. The location is perfect. Standing on the back porch I could hear the river. I have recommended this cabin to several of my family amd friends and plan on staying again this summer.
What a fantastic stay! The cabin is beautifully decorated, immaculate and equipped with everything we needed, including outdoor games, kitchen utensils, etc. The property is very pretty, well kept and offers a calming setting, perfect for a relaxing and fun getaway with the family and the dog :) The river view and the diverse wildlife made it even more special. The owners are super friendly, helpful and attentive. Great people! We will return!
