We enjoyed our week at The Peanut. There are 3 cottages to choose from and a large paddock for the dogs to play in and its also very rural. We didn't hear many fireworks as we put the television on loud. The cottage was well furnished and the owners were very helpful. The two other families that were in the other cottages were going to rebook again straightaway, we didn't rebook as we do like to try a different one each time. I would recommend this place.

The cottage is beautiful, comfortable and the perfect size for us and our labrador. Our hosts Paul & Stella were very friendly and on hand if we needed them yet unobtrusive. Our pup celebrated his 1st birthday while we were there and he had a blast on the beach (his first holiday), Paul & Stella even kindly gave him a birthday present. He loved the private dog paddock and made friends with some lovely dogs who were staying in The Walnut. Our pup loved the beaches at Walcott, Happisburgh, Cart Gap and Waxham, although he wasn't so sure about the sea. We had adventures on the North Norfolk Railway Poppy Line steam strain at Sheringham and had a fabulous trip with Ross' Wildlife Boat Trips at Martham. We enjoyed meals at Hill House Inn, Smallsticks Cafe, Dunes Cafe, Star at Lessingham, Hirsts Farm Shop and Poppylands Tearoom. We had a wonderful week at The Peanut and will definitely return.

I couldn’t believe how warming and homely The Peanut was. My dog, a toy poodle, had a good look round and settled straight away. The food hamper was amazing, full of locally sourced food. The Peanut was so clean and I attempted to keep it just so. The garden was just big enough and a mop was left to clean up after my dog. Very thoughtful. The paddock was lovely for dogs to have a run and the view across the fields was lovely. Really enjoyed my stay, thank you.

Having stayed with ERC for a few years now this may have been our favourite escape to the country!!! Beautiful cottages immaculate and clean everything is top quality from the kitchen, the bedrooms, bathrooms the patio area and hartman outdoor patio set then to top it off the high end hot tub was the icing on the cake!! So stunning in so many ways, the countryside walks on the doorstep were lovely and quiet for my reactive dogs. We were a mile or so from the beach, smallsticks cafe and the star at Lessingham with Tesco a 5 minute drive!! What more could you want from a break away beautiful peaceful countryside surroundings, high end luxury cottage and food and drink accessible. The hosts live on the grounds and are super helpful and lovely but not intrusive. The patio is a nice size and the paddock was lovely my 3 Mastiffs loved it and ran and rolled and played on the large grassed area just outside the side gate. It was perfect for me and my husband and our 3 dogues and with mum and dad next door in Bumblebee with their dog worked out the perfect solution for the dogs to have space and settle as well. ☆☆☆☆☆ 5 star for me all round .... would give 6 stars if there was the option!!!

A perfect place for a peaceful holiday with our westie, Paul and Stella are wonderful hosts and the cottage is like a home away from home, very comfortable and the hot tub is an added bonus. Views across the fields to watch the owl, hares and other birds is lovely.

Our first time in Norfolk. The Peanut is in a stunning spot. Great location. Lots of sandy beaches within 10 to 15 mins drive. There’s a very useful ‘secure’ paddock for your dogs but beware, if you have a jumper….. my setter had to stay on a longline as he would’ve easily cleared the height. Lovely and clean. Practical non slip flooring throughout and a wonderful welcome basket filled with all manner of goodies.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Peanut - the cottage itself is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean inside and out. The courtyard is lovely and the hot tub is the cherry on top! Will definitely return in the future. Brilliant location and fantastic hosts too! We had a lovely time with our two dogs, one of which can be very nervous, but he settled right in. Couldn’t ask for anything more, it was great! :)

We had the most relaxing holiday at The Peanut. Everything single detail at the property had been so well thought out. The Peanut itself was spotlessly clean and so comfortable but also very dog friendly (dog bowls, throws, bed, treats etc all provided). The outside space is also great for dogs. The Peanut has a large patio and a small grassy area but with direct access to the shared paddock. Our dog can be reactive to other dogs but this wasn’t a problem at all. We could easily see if the paddock was being used or not. The location is great as it is situated in a lovely quiet rural area but only a 20 minute walk to the pub (The Star at Lessingham) and a 5 minute drive to the beach at Cart Gap and Smallsticks cafe. We would highly recommend The Peanut and will definitely be booking again.

The cottage is very clean, well supplied with kitchen items and good quality furniture. A lovely tiled shower room, with towels provided. Outside, a well maintained garden with large patio, enclosed and safe for dogs with outside furniture and two person hot tub. Access to a secure paddock for dog walks was really convenient and easy to use. The owners were very friendly.

The cottage was lovely. With a dog area which was well maintained. The owner were extremely welcoming and everything in the cottage was up to date and clean and comfortable. You are only a very short drive from a lovely beach and several beaches within a slightly longer drive.

We had a nice relaxing stay at the peanut. Paul and Stella are very friendly and helpful hosts, the cottage is very well equipped and includes a lovely hot tub, the Star at Lessingham was a welcoming, dog friendly pub serving good food. Thank you to Paul and Stella for a great week, the dogs enjoyed their holiday too. The location is very good for access to nearby beaches and well suited for dog owners.
