Clean Apartment adjacent to Beach

Great location. The kitchen is lacking a few supplies. No can opener. No coffee filters. We ran out of toilet paper. No dishwasher soap. No sheets for the futon.

First, the positives, it has a full kitchen and was relatively clean. There were no bugs. The mattress is comfortable. It is on the ocean side of the peninsula and the bike/walking path is just steps away. There is one very narrow parking spot in the carport which you really need because parking here is impossible on the weekends.The inside of this unit is beyond basic. There are zero frills and zero amenities. Everything inside is the cheapest possible materials. From the bed headboard to the non-existent decor. There is no beach chair or a place to store a bike where you can lock it. The patio is only for apartment A so if you’re in B you’re not supposed to be on it at all or use the grill. The linens are sparse. There is no washer and dryer so you have 4 bath towels, 4 beach towels, 2 hand towels and 2 facecloths for an 8 day stay with no ability to wash them. There is one flat sheet and one blanket if you want to try and lay the futon couch down to have a guest, that’s all you’ll have for them. The tables and nightstands are such trash. Paper products they provide are the cheapest you can possibly find and I ran out of them before my stay ended. The bathroom is TERRIBLE. They have managed to find the crappiest shower curtain and liner on earth and even the one they have has black mildew on it. Not a chance I’d soak in the tub. The light in the bathroom doesn’t shut off. When switched to the off position it’s still on and sparked. Hated this place.

We love the area and the location can't be beat. However, this time the most basic necessities were not there. We had to call to get plates,etc for rhe kitxhen. The TV didn't work due to corrosion of the inputs. The issue is these things and a couple more should be checked before we arrived. The manager was quick to fix the problems and is always available. Kudos to him in that respect.

Clean apartment that was right on the beach. We appreciated the cooler and wagon access.

I’ve stayed at this house for several years and love it more than any of the other houses. The location is just perfect! It has everything we need!

Julio is an amazing host! Without a doubt one of the smoothest bookings to date on any platform. Great communication and responsive. My spouse clogged the toilet and a plunger was provided within minutes. Location is fantastic and the apartment itself is good. It's not the Chateau, it's an older beachfront property so expect some sand and brick walls. With that being said, be sure to note than when booking this lower level apartment, that people will be above you. Unfortunately outside of Julio's control there were several mornings throughout our stay that we were woken at 4a-6am by loud upstairs neighbors. Blatantly stomping up the steps that are right above your head. It sounded like they were dragging things across the floor. Despite our reaching out to the host, this continued until our last day. Unfortunately, this is not under Julio's control as you can't physically control what others do. I'll definitely be booking with Julio again, however I'll be booking the upstairs apartment knowing what I know now.

The property was just as described! Clean and perfect ready to go. Location was awesome and literally steps to the boardwalk. Julio got back to us quick with any questions or concerns so that’s always a plus. I’ve stayed in many places in this area before and I would gladly choose this place first over any of the rest!

Property manager was great. The VRBO automated process and system was terrible to deal with and actually misleading.

The location was wonderful but the overall cleanliness of the apartment was poor. There was dust on every surface, random hairs, gross stains on the pillow cases. In particular, there was a red stain on one pillow case and orange stains within the sheets. The bathroom sink was clogged and there is mold under every sink. The shower curtain was corroded with black and orange mold. At night, the room was moist and wet. All the sheets felt damp. We slept on top of the sheets with blankets we bought. This was not a comfortably stay due to the moisture and uncleanliness of the apartment.

This place is incredible - the property and manager are awesome. You even have your own off street parking spot.

I was in from NJ to help my son move into UC Irvine for freshman year. A lot of in and out of the apartment and the first floor access and parking space made it perfect. Deliveries were easy. And when I had breaks I would just walk out to the beach or down the strand 10 mins to restaurants and bars. The unit is clean and has a good layout. Not a lot of natural light from inside but being so close to the beach...just walk out your door anytime when you need sun and fresh ocean air! Julio was very responsive to any support I needed. The only issue was the TV in the bedroom broke down and didn't work all week but the main TV in the living area was good. I highly recommend if you want something close to the beach and things to do in Newport. Not glamorous but clean, safe and comfortable.

Property is dirty and very outdated! If you plan on cooking don’t stay here! Very limited cookware and only 2 forks! Stained towels, one wash cloth, no cleaning supplies. When we arrived there was a dirty used ball cap hanging on a hat rack. A couple days later it was gone! So that means someone came in and got it while we were out! Not cool! The location is awesome!
