Whether you are vacationing, relaxing, visiting family/friends, passing through, or working in the Albuquerque area, this comfortable and cozy 2 bedroom jewel is just right for you!
Cozy, clean, comfy, quiet, and so cleverly decorated. Discovered something new every day. Beautiful flowers and patio to enjoy. Owner was very helpful. We hope to stay here again. This was our first VRBO and it was perfect.
Jan and Richard were great hosts. One of the most comfortable and well-maintained properties we have stayed in!
We spent three nights in this light and wonderful apartment during our recent trip to Albuquerque. It is perfectly kept, amply spacious, and incredibly pleasant and comfortable, with many conveniences. It's an easy trip into downtown Albuquerque, including the convention center. The two ample bedrooms were great for the three of us - one couple and a friend - and would be equally comfortable for Four. Jan and Richard provided basics (and a bottle of wine) so when we arrived we didn't have to run out to get supplies. The apartment itself is great, and their hospitality made our stay even better - Jan gave us helpful information on goings-on and things to do in the area, and Richard provided good restaurant advice (there are many close by) and even called us to let us know about a traffic jam on the highway on the day we planned to travel to Acoma Pueblo.. The apartment is also within easy walking distance of the University of New Mexico campus, which is worth a visit itself and is surrounded by college-oriented shops, restaurants, and book stores. The apartment would be perfect for a family doing their college tours. In all, it was a lovely stay - if we get back to Albuquerque, we'll hope to stay there again.
Loved the location, area was charming, perfect space for what we needed, host super nice in providing snacks, maps, reading etc. did have some overhead noise from walking upstairs but was not loud enough to truly disturb us. would recommend.
This is our second time staying at this exceptionally comfortable apartment. It has everything you could need and is centrally located. We will be renting it again next year.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Casa Central. It was perfect for four of us to enjoy the Balloon Fiesta and central Albuquerque. The home is spacious and bright with comfortable beds, a beautiful bathroom with double sinks and a hot shower, and a kitchen adequately stocked with everything you need (although we ate out most of the time). We appreciated all the extra amenities supplied such as lotion, shampoo, towels to wash off makeup, and everything was very well marked. We especially enjoyed the welcome basket with wine, chips and salsa, and the provided coffee and fresh cream. The outdoor veranda was a favorite place to enjoy a glass of wine and here we had great conversation with the owners who gave us excellent tips on places to eat and shop. Our favorite was Duran Central Pharmacy! We’ll definitely stay again the next time in Albuquerque.
This was a quiet and comfortable place to unwind each evening after our day trips sightseeing stunning New Mexico. Jan and Richard are welcoming and hospitable and have included many touches to make their guests feel as if they are at home. They were available to answer any questions and gave fabulous recommendations for restaurants or local "don't miss"sites. We felt their warmth and sincerity throughout our stay. Thanks for sharing your place with us.
We had a delightful stay when we drove our daughter to begin her studies at University of New Mexico. Casa central is conveniently located to the campus, as well as the airport, old town, and any shopping we needed to do. Our hosts were very thoughtful. A chilled bottle of wine, coffee with half and half, chips with local salsa and a chocolate bar crafted locally all waited for us upon arrival. We will definitely be staying here again!
Perfect location for exploring Central Ave's great restaurants and bars, as well as for a stroll on the UNM campus.
Really enjoyed the stay. Nice place.
We stayed here for 4 nights in July 2018. It is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The owners live right upstairs and greeted us when we arrived to show us around. The local food basket and wine were appreciated. Just note that there is no oven/stove - likely because it is a basement apartment. Me being surprised by that was my fault as I didn't read the amenities list carefully. There is a hot plate, toaster oven and microwave provided and it worked out just fine for us. We would definitely stay here again.
This place was perfect for our visit! The location was great. The apartment was very clean and well maintained. Jan and Richard were very easy to work with. They go above and beyond with the extra amenities they provide. We would definitely stay here again.
Wonderful hosts, spacious and clean, superb location! We'll be back!
This was a great place to stay. The hosts had thought of everything and were available for advice and information. The place was spacious, immaculately clean and very comfortable. The bed was great! The location was convenient with good restaurants nearby. Thanks!!!!
This was one of the best VRBO rentals we have ever stayed at. Jan thinks of everything a person might need during their stay. Beautifully decorated and appointed. Jan and Richard were so helpful and responsive to any requests. Thank you for a lovely stay. We will definitely be returning.
This was the first time my sister and I have travelled to Albuquerque. Jan and Richard were perfect hosts, they even transported us to and from the airport. We are middle aged ladies from Birmingham England and we relied upon public transport to get us around. It was surprisingly easy to get to the places we wanted to see by bus and trains. Casa Central was a lovely cool oasis for us to call our home from home.
What a wonderful home away from home! Conveniently located in central Albuquerque, Jan and Richard have created a welcoming space filled with color, light, and Southwestern decor. A huge plus for my asthma was the strict no-pet policy and Jan's use of unscented products whenever possible. I wondered if the lack of stove/oven would be a problem, but it was not. Microwave, portable induction cooktop, electric skillet, coffee maker, electric kettle, full size refrigerator, etc., were plenty for my needs. Comfy beds, large tiled bathroom, and high efficiency (HE) washer & dryer were perfect for an extended stay. Highly recommended!
Jan & Richard were excellent hosts! They were available, friendly and super helpful. The downstairs apartment was the perfect base for my family of 3 to explore ABQ! The beds were comfy, the bathroom was huge with thick linens and any toiletries you might need, the decor was festive and fun and distinctively New Mexican. The only surprise was that there wasn't a stove but once we got the hang of using the skillet or hot pad, we did just fine making eggs and bacon for breakfast! :) This truly is a little gem of a place and when we come back to ABQ, we'll definitely stay there again!
My family and I ended up staying at Jan and Richard's apartment for longer than we expected due to my father's heart surgery. We couldn't have asked for a better location, we were a 10 minute walk to the heart institute. The apartment was very comfortable and cozy. An added bonus was finding salsa and chips and a bottle of wine in the fridge. Jan and Richard were very accommodating and friendly. Highly recommend!!!
From the thoughful food and other things left for us to the overall comfortableness of the apartment we were blown away. Beds we really comfortable. There was enough hot water for 4 fairly long showers. There were motion lights everywhere so my kids could get to the bathroom at night. They even left my wife’s favorite wine in the fridge (granted this could have been by accident but still). There were even box fans to provide that ambient noise since there weren’t ceiling fans. The location was central to a lot of fun things we wanted to do (ABQ bio park especially). The owners live onsite upstairs but were great hosts. Will definitely stay again.
Jan and Richard have provide a comfortable, relaxing, peaceful home away from home. They have thoughT of everything to make you feel at home. Amenities are top of the line. They were so helpful and responded immediately. The location is ideal. We would definitely stay here again and will highly recommend it to all our family and friends. Diane and Barry, Buffalo, NY
I cannot say enough about Jan and Rich. I stayed at Casa Central during my relocation to Albuquerque from NWI. I accepted a position at UNM and viewed the property before staying. My mother and Aunt decided they had to see the property and meet the owners I would be staying with. We met with Jan and she assured my mother and Auntie I would be fine. Not only did she take the time to show us the apartment but spent time speaking with us about the area. I feel that I have gained a great relationship with Jan and her husband Rich during my stay. They will not be forgotten due to the comfort they provided as I was in transition to Albuquerque. The location was prime for working at UNM. There are plenty of great food choices near and Whole Foods. Jan also left some key items for me in the apartment that made me feel special. She had a bottle of wine in the refrigerator and coffee with all the necessities you can ask for in reach. Although there is no stove I became a pro at the oversized electric skillet and eventually used the induction cooktop. I was surprised to learn how easy it was to cook on it. The apartment has all the special touches to make you feel at home during your visit. This is definitely the spot if your looking to be near everything in the city. Her gardening skills also provide tranquility. You will not be disappointed if you book at Casa Central.
Both of our hosts could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Everything the house needed had been thought of. It was beyond clean. We were in Abq to drop my youngest son off at UNM. This was the perfect location for that. While he was tied up doing freshman things, I was able to explore the many areas of Abq. I got up to speed very quickly and could drive myself around quite well! Unfortunately I was unable to go to Sante Fe, that will have to wait until next time! I cannot recommend this rental enough. Mom and 18-year-old son from Maine
We felt right at home and will stay again if ever in the area! Thank you for thinking of all the small things.
My partner and I stayed here for a week, and absolutely loved it. It is clean, well-decorated, and had lots of extra amenities that made our stay that much better. Jan and Richard are both kind and welcoming hosts, and made sure that we had everything we needed during our stay. We tried the pizza restaurant that they recommended, and it was delicious! If we ever find ourselves needing another place to stay in Albuquerque, we will definitely try to stay here again. Thanks! -Leah & Jeff
We have traveled all over the US and Europe and this is the best property and hosts we have ever experienced. Jan and Richard are wonderful hosts starting with the quick reply to our requests and right through the entire stay. The property and location is wonderful and Jan and Richard take care of everything down to the smallest detail. Look forward to going back again and again! Thank you from my entire family!
Great place to stay near the university. They pay attention to each detail. Comfortable and clean with lots of extras. I will definitely stay here again.
This apartment was absolutely lovely! Jan and Richard have gone out of their way to add special touches of comfort. I loved the motion sensor lighting along the hallway and in the bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked. The bathroom was spacious with fluffy towels, soaps, lotion and a shower that I didn't want to get out of! Comfortable beds and beautiful decor throughout. And then there were the flower gardens around the apartment which were beautiful! Great location too. I only have amazing things to say about this space. Thank you, thank you!
Owner(s) were welcoming, place was immaculate, beds super comfortable, and location perfect! This rental is an amazing value for the price, we will be back ;)
The apartment is immaculate, new, and very comfortable. It's close to everything and I enjoyed walking the neighborhood. The hosts are lovely, helpful people who go out of their way to see that you have everything you need. I would definitely stay here again.
We stayed here with two small children (ages 9 and 2) and could not be more pleased. The apartment was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and nicely furnished. It was great that kids had their own room. The space is comfortable and bright and we felt right at home. The kids were sad to leave! The location is also fantastic - easy access to freeways, the University of New Mexico, downtown, and Nob Hill. The owners were welcoming and friendly while being unobtrusive and respectful of our privacy. We did not have any issues or questions but we are confident the owners would have responded immediately if we had. We will definitely stay here again when we are in Albuquerque!
I booked while in town for work and ended up extending over the weekend. The unit is very spacious and tidy. The owners are very friendly and accommodating, while also being very respectful of my space and need to have peace and quiet at night. I thought the location couldn't have been better. Right near downtown, near campus and lots of places to eat, and only a couple miles from a Whole Foods! I recommend checking out the tram ride up the Sandia Pass, it is also near by and has. reathtaking views of the whole valley. Excellent experience, looking forward to next time.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is furnished with lots of comfort and color. The small kitchen is great for a light meal or enjoying take-out from one of the close restaurants. We both found the beds very comfortable and really enjoyed the large bathroom. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back.
