BALBOA SEA ESCAPE Steps to Beach and Bay *Garage Parking & Air Conditioning

Room was clean as advertised. Unable to unlock garage with instructions provided (made several attempts). Thankfully there was plenty of street parking.

Great location and property. The studio was cozy and well-equipped for guests. Clear check-in and in-home directions made the stay seamless. Location is outstanding and everything you need is walkable but having the garage is a great option as well. Comfortable bed and bedding. Would stay here again, and again.

I liked the beach accessibility close by within walking distance, the ability to drive a short distance and cook in the fully equipped kitchen, the comfort of the bed, and having beach chairs and beach towels and beach umbrella provided to take to the beach for the day. The bathroom tiled shower was great, except that you had to take the spray nozzle off the shower head to use. The garage was small, but allowed us to put our small car in the garage during street cleaning days! There were thin walls, so it caused people to hear someone talking next to them in the adjoining unit. The small couch and chair were leather and were comfortable, except excessive use causes the person to slide forward. It was hard to use the covered patio table & chairs - which was very nice - because four units shared the same space!

Everything was good, very close to everything that we needed to go to in Newport beach. The kitchen was very well stocked. The bed was comfortable I’m sure we have to stay there again.

Great place to stay, enjoyed how close to the beach it was. Very clean and very comfortable. only downfall is parking. Came with the garage, but you must have a subcompact car to fit. Luckily we were informed of this beforehand and everything worked out great. would stay here again.!

This place was perfect for our work/pleasure trip. Having towels and coolers accessible for the beach was great. We were able to walk to most places or super quick Uber. Would 100% stay again!

Amenities, interior decor.

Perfect place to stay on the peninsula. The home is super clean with all the amenities to cook while you're there, lots of beach toys to use, laundry on site and garagevparking is a plus. Hosts were great and answered quickly when we had questions. Will definitely stay again.

The bed in the room was a single double bed, not a queen-size bed. I paid for a week's stay but only stayed two nights. It's a great place for couples, the location is fantastic, just minutes' walk from the beautiful beach , and the hostess, Janet, was very nice

Location was perfect, 2 minute walk to the beach and pretty close to restaurants and coffee. Great place and it was nice to have easy access to beach chairs and boogie boards.

Clean, great beach access

This is my second time staying at this spot, and there is a reason why I have stayed here twice! This spot is so cute and cozy and is just a short walk across the street to the beach. The place is so clean and that is so important to me. It’s also a plus that this place has a garage for a vehicle. I would definitely come back to this place!

This property is located on block off the beach and about a 25 minute drive from John Wayne Airport. The rental provides all the basics for an enjoyable stay, is in a safe location and within walking distance to shops and services.

Really liked this place. It’s small, nothing crazy but definitely gets the job done. Garage is very very small. Had a mini cooper and barely fit but that’s okay. I’d stay here again.

The apartment is comfortable and has everything you need. Walk to the beach across the road and up a block, super easy. Nice outdoor courtyard to sit in outside when not on the beach. Walk to restaurants and shops. The only issue was our noisy neighbors our first two nights. I contacted the owner and she was quick to respond. I know you can’t control everyone’s behavior, but the neighbors did not look old enough to be renting a VRBO. Once they were gone, it was nice and quiet. We enjoyed our stay!

Nice property, short walk to beach and new port pier. Lots to do in this area. Love the mom n pop shops.

It was a lovely stay. Half a block from the beach within a Newport residential neighborhood. Bed was comfy. Parking was great. Perfect for a solo traveler or couple.

We spent a very relaxing 4 days in this cozy beachside studio - just the thing to escape the Midwest winter! Loved that the beach was just across the road.

It was a nice little spot to stay for Spring Break with one of my friends.

The place was well stocked with everything you need for a vacation rental. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful and just a short walk to the beach. The management was super responsive. We’ll definitely rent with them again.

This property was clean and exactly as listed. The kitchen and bathroom were well stocked with necessities. The shared patio was a nice bonus with a large table, chairs and umbrella. The only small challenge was parking. The garage only fits a small vehicle, and we had an SUV so we had to search for street parking nearby, which can be difficult on weekends. Loved the proximity of the beach, board walk and all the restaurants. We parked our vehicle and walked practically everywhere.

Cute, beachy and with everything you need for the beach. Older unit but modernized with all the comforts of home. Perfectly situated to the beach (ocean & bayside), restaurants, etc. I will definitely stay there again. Enjoyed 4 mile beach walks each morning and night and didn’t want to come home. Parking wasn’t bad either and my car was parked for days. I just paid attention to the street sweeping signs as they directed. Responsive owners were so helpful and nice when I couldn’t find my email!

Balboa Sea Escape was very clean and easy to find. Parking is as too tight for our car and we didn’t have an oversized car. We had to park on the street out on Balboa Blvd. Bed was comfortable and the AC worked great. Well stocked kitchen and close to the beach. Looking at the pictures I thought it would be closer to the beach and on the beach side of balboa but it is on the bay side. It’s a short walk across balboa Blvd and comes out right by the school and basketball courts. Bathroom is VERY small and tight but we made it work. Would rent again for a quick short trip but would want more space for a longer stay. We weee there from Wednesday night to Sunday morning. I did have to be the one to reach out for information on checking in less than 48 hours before check in since I hadn’t heard from the host. Overall a great rental.
