The Homestead is a newly renovated home that has been decorated in the modern farmhouse look. We have plenty of room for a family or friend get together. We've decked this home out with an arcade basketball hoop, foosball table, pool table, air hockey as well as ping pong! Our large backyard is fully fenced, ready for marshmallows with a fire pit and grass all around.brbrYou can contact us any time via the portal you have booked through and we will also give our cell phone numbers when check in instructions are sent.brbrThe neighborhood is very calm and quiet. They've put in a brand new playground at the park across the street from the house. The park also has basketball hoops.brbrThere is plenty of parking space in front of the house and on the side of the house. You can park a boat or a camper. Once the backyard is finished we will have an enclosed area for you to park your boat or camper within the fenced area. The deck in the backyard was just redone as well and it looks beautiful. It will be a great spot to soak up some sun or BBQ on the grill.brbrThe house is located only 4 or 5 blocks from most of the restaurants in town. By driving it is only 2 minutes to almost anyplace in town.

The cabin has all the comforts of home including a full kitchen equipped with most necessary items for meal prep and is located within Thermopolis so delivery of many foods is also available. A river rental shop is close by if you want to depart from the cabin by kayak, paddle board, tube or boat down the river from the cabin to the hot springs state park, or simply anchor your boat up next to the cabin after a long day of successful fly fishing. The boat ramp is approximately a block away located just across the river via the 8th street bridge. You can grill on the deck or soak in the hot tub at the rivers edge. Dry camping is available 1/4 mile up river along a beautiful stretch of slow deep water with a boat ramp upon request for any additional guests. $10/person/night.

The house:brOur cute and comfortable kid-friendly house was built in 1918 and is located in historic downtown Thermopolis, Wyoming. Remodeled in 2023, it has all new appliances and modern amenities yet maintains that old western charm of Wyoming. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has two twins, and both bedrooms as well as the living room have smart TVs. We also offer a reading library, board games, and kids toys upon request. There are two adult bikes, two kids bikes, and a bike trailer for the littles. brbrExtra towels are provided for your trips to the mineral hot springs. A local tip: don’t wash your swimsuit with other clothing after you’ve been for a soak, as it will make everything smell like sulphur!brbrThis house is over 100 years old and has lots of character. Please be advised that the floors have settled over time and are slightly uneven in some areas. We have a free-standing AC unit in the living room, however there is no central AC. The bedroom fans help circulate air and keep the house cool, and at night it’s best to turn off the AC and open the windows.brbrThe town:brThe house is at the end of the main street in Thermopolis, just one block from local restaurants and bars. It's a short walk along the Bighorn River to world class fishing and Hot Springs State Park, where you'll find the free mineral bath house, two swimming complexes with waterslides, mineral terraces boardwalk, and the swinging bridge. Also nearby you can visit the Wyoming Dinosaur Center or drive through the pasture where the buffalo roam. Thermopolis is a wonderful stop about an hour from the Big Horn Mountains, two hours from Cody, Wyoming, and a bit more than two hours to Yellowstone National Park.
