It is a completely separate residence from the house—the tenants have their own entrance, deck space with patio furniture + a small grill that is not for guest use. They work a lot in the summer and are not often around, but we would ask guests to respect their privacy and use the main patio table/grill closest to the house. There is also an interior door in the dining room that is a locked entrance to the apartment, but it locks on each side (works similarly to how adjoining hotel rooms work). Guests cannot access the apartment, and the tenants cannot access the house unless each party mutually unlocks.brbrThe master bedroom does not have a heat source other than the gravity vent. We provide a space heater for that room during the cooler months.
