We have several pontoon options we rent out to guests. We have two 2021 Benningtons, one with a 90 hp motor and one with 125 HP motors. We have several cabins on this lake so it's first come first server for the pontoon and it often books up early. Your Bayshore Retreat rental also includes a private dock to dock your boat. Additional water toys and boats are available to rent on the lake. Please ask for a list of places. Several well maintained public boat launches are also located near the cabin. Power is available at the lake shore for charging boat batteries etc. brbrFire pit and gas or charcoal grill- There is a nice fire pit by the lake for you to relax by and enjoy star gazing or just enjoy the lake and the outdoors. We also supply a Gas Grill with propane on the upper deck for our guests to use free of charge. The charcoal grill we do not supply the charcoal. There are also lawn chairs by the lake to sit back and relax while enjoying the lake views or star gazing at night. The screened in porch also has a table and chairs where you can sit and have a meal or play games while still enjoying the north woods. brbrBayshore Retreat is located approximately 9 miles south of the city of Hayward. Lazy Loon was constructed in 2014. It comfortably sleeps 6. There is a bedroom with Queen size bed, loft with 2 twin beds, and a futon in living area that folds down into full size bed. Beautiful handmade quilts cover beds. Full kitchen consists of beautiful Amish made cabinets from hickory. There is a bathroom complete with shower. Cabin is 75 feet from lake with 100 feet of shoreline. Other homes/cabins surround Smith Lake so site is not secluded. Lake bottom is sandy and water is clear which is perfect for swimming. Pier located on property is perfect for fishing or securing your boat. Great fishing right off the pier for crappy, sunfish, perch, bass, and northern. There is a boat launch close by. Motors are permitted on Smith Lake which allows for great boating, skiing, and inner tubing. There is a fire pit located on the property as well as a small weber grill for your use. Firewood is also on the property for your use. Sunsets can be seen from the dock. Smith Lake is home to loons, eagles, and many other forms of wild life. We are located just 3 miles from Hayward where there is great shopping, dining, and night time entertainment. This is the perfect place for a quiet getaway up north.

Lake Cabin on Round Lake, Hayward, WI

Our cabin is a lovely 1400 sq foot 2 bedroom cabin perched on the edge of a 50 foot slope down to the lake. From the deck there is a stunning and panoramic view of the lake through pines on the slope with bald eagles nesting in the treetops right in front of you as you sit on the deck drinking your morning coffee. The view is to the north so the sun rises over the lake to your right and sets to your left, often with brilliant colors. The lot is forested so there is lots of shade on the hotter days. There is a boat lift and 40 foot private dock with a staircase down to the lake. There is a canoe you can use if you bring it back up where we store it on the west end of the garage/there are paddles in the garage just inside the man door on the lake side of the garage. The lake bottom is very gradual so an adult can wade out about 200 feet before getting in over his head. The bank is rip-rapped but after the first 10 feet or so the bottom is mostly sandy and great for swimming. Lake temperatures are about 70 degrees or more by the end of June and the lake is so clear that you can see down 10 feet or more so it's a wonderful place to swim and snorkel. It has a full kitchen with refrigerator, range, microwave, coffeemaker and toaster. There is a septic system and no disposal so there is a screen in the kitchen sink and you have to be careful to keep any debris from going down the drain. There is no dishwasher. The great room has a wonderful view of the lake through sliding patio doors and bay window and is about 25 by 30 including the sitting areas, dining area and galley kitchen. There is a large sectional with a TV, DVD player and cable TV. There is internet access with a wireless router. There is also a trundle bed in the great room. The lower bed can be brought out so 2 can sleep there or it can be left underneath and 1 can sleep there. There are 2 bedrooms. The master has a queen size bed. The other bedroom has 2 twins. There is a full bath with tub/shower, lavatory and toilet. A second bathroom has a stand up shower and toilet, and then a larger room with a laundry tub, medicine chest, mirror and coat racks. Outside there is a charcoal grill, portable fire pit, wood supply, deck table and chairs and front lawn for bocci ball, playing catch or sitting in the adirondack chairs under the trees and reading. It's about 2 miles to the Indian casino and about 7 miles to Hayward which is a resort town of over 2000 people with restaurants, large grocery stores, gift shops, hardware stores and places to rent all kinds of watercraft. There is a marina on the lake that sells gas, rents pontoon boats, speed boats and other kinds of watercraft. It is a 20-30 minute drive to rent canoes and tubes to float the Namakagon River which holds smallmouth bass, muskies and northerns. The upper stretch above Hayward holds considerable numbers of brown trout. Hayward Country Club is a wonderful golf course that is open to the public and is right in town. It is an old-style golf course with lots of trees and always in immaculate shape. It's about $55 with cart, $44 for seniors 62 and over. A Pete Dye designed golf course called Big Fish is 2 miles from the cabin, right across the road from the casino. It's a more difficult course with an open links-style front nine and a hilly back nine that winds through the forest. There are a number of other nice courses in the area within about 30 minutes. My favorite is Spooner GC in Spooner-really scenic, rolling hills and always in wonderful shape. I may accept dogs after we've discussed it on the phone and I've agreed to have you bring them..

Clean and comfortable 4 Season Cabin located on Nelson Lake. This cabin has great views of Nelson Lake and is located on one of the most sought after areas on the lake. Nelson lake is a great recreation lake with just under 3000 acres of water as well as 31+ miles of lakeshore. The fishing on Nelson lake is known for it Walleye's, Bass and Panfish with lots of great fishing spots. This cabin is located on 125' of shoreline that is mostly sand with some rocks. The shoreline starts out shallow and then drops off allowing for swimming. There is also a outdoor fire pit as well as a boat house with great views of the lake. The four wheel trail is just down the street with access from the road. Please note that this cabin has elevation with stairs. brbrCabin features 1200 sq ft with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, upper and lower living room. 1 Bedroom 1 bath upstairs and 1 Bedroom 1 Bath downstairs. The downstairs was recently remodeled and has a living room that includes a hid-abed allowing for additional sleeping. The upper level of the cabin is of original vintage but is nice condition. Additional features include, Wood Burning Fire Place, Deck with Gas Grill, Forced A/C and Heat with Electric baseboard heating for backup, Wifi internet, Smart TV with streaming options(Youtube TV Included), full kitchen with Microwave, Coffee Maker, Stove and Cookwear.
