A short walk to the beach to fish for dinner and go to sleep at night with the sounds of the surf! Dine inside or out on the northern or southern decks. The house has ample space for a couple or family.brbrEurong is convenient to most of the island’s attractions- surf fishing, crystal clear lakes, hiking trails, whale watching in season. There is a small store, coffee shop and bakery located 300 metres north for basic supplies and fuel. Eurong Beach Resort in the same location has a restaurant/bar. No pets are allowed anywhere on Fraser Island.brbrThe township has a fence to deter native dingos so are not present around the house and complex.brbrFraser Island is 4WD only. Access is via the Inskip Point 4wd barge north west of Rainbow Beach, then approximately 30 minutes beach driving (at low tide) to the house. Allow 3 hours in normal conditions from northern Brisbane to Inskip Point. The second access is via the River Heads barge and a drive through the island from the barge landing. This second route is not tide dependent.brbrSome hire vehicle companies have restrictions on taking their vehicles to Fraser Island. National Park permits can be obtained online. Barge tickets from Inskip Point can be purchased in Rainbow Beach or onboard. This location enables visitors who wish to explore the island the ability to do a day trips both north and south, taking in what K'Gari (Fraser Island) has to offer: beaches, lakes, creeks, rain forests, 4x4 tracks, sand blows and endless scenery. brbrHaving undergone extensive renovations, the property owners have spared no expense in ensuring guests have all the creature comforts of home.brbrYenningee Bora is a 3 bedroom cottage, sleeping up 8 people. The Cottage has full ocean views from a large elevated timber deck (secured with a self-closing gate to keep dingoes out), complete with a huge 8-10 seater timber table and large stainless steel outdoor BBQ with kitchen servery - perfect for alfresco dining.brbrWalking through the front sliding glass doors (complete with CrimSafe screens) into the Cottage is like stepping back in time. Lovingly restored, you are now walking on the original Maheno Shipwreck decking, The teak timber was laid in 1905 onto SS Maheno. The timber deck was removed from the ship when it was marooned just north of Happy Valley in 1935 and used as the flooring in the previous fishing cottage that once stood in place of the now newly-renovated cottage. The builder who completed the renovation was able to salvage the original flooring and give it a new lease of life and now takes pride of place in the main open-plan living area.brbrThe lounge room has a large 3m x 3m L-shaped lounge, complete with a 50 television and huge ceiling fan. With high-raked ceilings, the spacious living area takes full advantage of the uninterrupted ocean views and breeze. The dining room adjoining the lounge room hosts an 8-seater kitchen table. brbrThe 3m x 3.5m L-shaped kitchen comes fully equipped with all modern appliances: oven, gas cook-top and range hood, large fridge/freezer, microwave oven, kettle, toaster, and all kitchen crockery/utensils. An additional fridge and chest freezer (for bait) is provided. Further down the hallway you will find a large, modern bathroom (complete with huge shower, toilet and vanity). With fantastic water pressure and constant hot water heated from the Solar Arc hot water system on the roof (backed up with instantaneous gas), showers will always be hot and enjoyable.brbrThe 2 main bedrooms have queen beds (sleeping 2).
