La Bella Vita House Orchid Beach

Unfortunately the house was dirty, I don't think it has had a proper clean in years. The house is older which is fine but there was so much extra furniture it felt cramp and every thing was dusty. We spent the first hour clearing, the fridge alone had all meat juice all through it. Both toilets not been clear and yes I do mean number 2!. The outside bbq area again had so much furniture it made it hard to move around. There is a very sandy entrance which makes it hard to keep the outside bath clean.

Well we had a awesome welcome. We arrived late in the night from inskip, we had a wild time getting up. the lady welcoming us made sure to open all the windows and turn the fans on for us before we arrived, to cool the house down.

This is a great place to stay for our yearly trip to Fraser island. Lots of room , clean and comfortable with access to all our favorite locations. looking forward to book again for our next trip.Thank you once again, Eddie for the use of the house.

This is the most unhygienic place I've ever seen. The photos show it's nothing fancy but it's even worse seeing it. The place has never been cleaned properly, there are marks all over every wall and surface, spiderwebs everywhere (under couches and beds), you feel dirty being there. There was some sort of animal in the wall of the front room making a loud noise. The doonas provided states to fold and place back on shelf (dirty) & no idea if they get washed. Can't find in house details where it states you need to bring your own bath towels. The shower inside does not work (not in house details). The 'cleaning' utensils in kitchen are old, used cloth and brushes and the smell under the sink is rank. It is bore water (apparently the rain water had been used by previous person) so you need to take drinking water. We only stayed in this house as original house got double booked, it definitely let the trip down and after a great day at the beach, dreaded going back to the house. You need to vacuum and mop when you leave which i find strange, no disinfectant/bleach provided. Overall probably ok for a bunch of men on fishing trip but for a family, not advisable.

Going by the description on the website we did not expect what we got. Whilst the outside shower works ok, the floor floods and water pools behind the door and becomes dangerous to stand on. This property ONLY has a shower outside the main house, there is no working shower in the main house. The property is not suitable for families with young children or the elderly. The house is full of trip hazards with different due to types of flooring throughout. The mop at the property is dirtier than the the floor you are expected to clean and the vacuum is also broken. This property really needs a better bathroom facilities and a little maintenance would go along way. Glad this was only for a boys trip.

Meet our needs for our annual Fraser family easter trip (6 adults and 3 kids). However, the place dirty and bugs everywhere (even in the beds of one room). Also, ad needs to clearly state that the only working shower is the one connected to the outside of the house. I questioned the shower situation before booking and was left with no impression that the one indoor shower cannot be used.

All and all god place to stay worth money will be back

Few old broken items but no big deal. We had a awesome time.

Orchid Beach is a beautiful location. The property was very old but functional. Absolutely loved the fire pit. We had a wonderful time. Plenty of space inside and out.Such a shame it was so filthy.

Location is great, we love staying at Orchid. Neighbours friendly, Eddie great with communication. But house was filthy when we rocked up, sheets look like they hadn’t been washed, ever. Most dishes were dirty, shower was filthy, cockroaches everywhere, the expected to vacuum, mop & clean everything top to bottom prior to leaving. Definitely left the house cleaner than when we got there. We didn’t expect hotel service but for what we paid you would think it would at least be clean upon arrival, or to have cleaners get in there between guests.

We arrived before check-in and sat out the front we waited till 210pm. No one had arrived to let us in so we went and opened the gate to let ourselves into the yard as the kids were sick of sitting in the car. Then the lady arrived show us around. Both of the toilets were dirty, dish rack,window sills, under the beds and the only working shower were also dirty and had to be cleaned to make it liveable. The dining room is set on pavers with carpet over the top and the rock under your feet. There is a bad smell in the cupboard under the sink so they couldn't be open.

Host is fantastic

Heaps of refrigerator and freezer room. Comfortable beds great outside area. Fire place and a great bbq.

Perfect set up for a bunch of blokes on the island to fish and enjoy each others company

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Bella Vita House. Perfect location awsome undercovered area out back, under cover parking that was a huge benefit with unloading out of the rain. Great communication with the hosts and caretaker. Definitely would like to rebook for our trip to the island next year. Thank you to you Eddie for the use of your accommodation .
